Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 19 – Winning Hearts
Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 19 – Winning Hearts
The next morning.
Lin Fan woke up very early.
She walked barefoot to the wardrobe and pulled open the doors.
Inside hung all sorts of Liu Ruyan’s clothes, most of which were meant to cater to the aesthetic tastes of different men.
Sexy, innocent, sophisticated, wild.
It had everything.
Lin Fan’s gaze swept over the gorgeous fabrics, finally landing on a black, form-fitting slip dress.
It was made of real silk, very thin and very short.
She took down the dress, then rummaged through the underwear drawer and found an incredibly sexy matching set.
Finally, a pair of Balenciaga logo socks.
She slowly and deliberately put each item on.
Facing the mirror, she casually tousled her shoulder-length hair.
Perfect.
Today, she had to pull out all the stops.
She slipped on a pair of wedge slippers and walked out of the bedroom.
“Morning, Ming-ge.”
Her voice, deliberately softened and tinged with the laziness of someone who had just woken up, came from the kitchen.
Zhou Ming was in the living room, shirtless, doing push-ups.
Hearing her voice, he instinctively turned his head.
And then, he froze.
The morning sun streamed in through the window, casting a hazy halo around the figure standing at the kitchen entrance.
She wore a sweet smile, her eyes clear and innocent.
Gulp.
Zhou Ming swallowed hard.
He had barely slept a wink last night.
“Morn… morning, Ruyan.”
His voice was dry and hoarse, his breathing instantly growing heavy.
Lin Fan, as if oblivious to his scorching gaze, turned and walked into the kitchen.
“I made you breakfast. Come and eat.”
“O… okay.”
Zhou Ming agreed, but he didn’t get up from the floor for a long time.
Lin Fan busied herself in the kitchen, her back to him.
She bent over to get jam from the refrigerator, a movement that caused the already short hem of her dress to ride up.
Zhou Ming felt a rush of heat to his nose.

He wretchedly turned his head away and dashed into the bathroom at top speed.
The cold water splashing on his face was what finally calmed him down slightly.
He looked at his reflection in the mirror—bloodshot eyes, a face full of desire—and felt like he was looking at a stranger.
During breakfast, Zhou Ming didn’t dare to look up at Lin Fan at all.
Lin Fan took it all in, the corner of her mouth curling into a barely perceptible arc.
After eating, the two began to set up the equipment they had brought back yesterday.
The solar panels needed to be installed on the balcony by the window.
“Ming-ge, hold it here, I’ll tighten the screws,” Lin Fan directed.
She deliberately chose a position that required her to half-squat to work.
From Zhou Ming’s angle, he had a perfect view down the neckline of her dress.
Lin Fan pushed the effect of her seduction skill to its absolute limit.
Zhou Ming felt like he was going to lose his mind.
“Ming-ge? Ming-ge? What are you thinking about?”
Lin Fan looked up, blinking her big, innocent eyes at him.
“Huh? N-nothing.”
Zhou Ming hastily averted his gaze, his face flushing bright red.
For the entire day, Zhou Ming was trapped in this sweet yet painful torment.
Lin Fan was like a siren who knew exactly how to stir a man’s heart.
When she handed him a tool, her fingertips would “accidentally” brush against his palm.
When she drank water, she would tilt her neck back, letting a droplet slide down her fair skin.
Zhou Ming felt like a bull with a ring through its nose, being led around by Lin Fan, yet utterly willing.
As evening approached.
All the equipment was finally set up.
On the balcony, several solar panels glinted in the setting sun, their wires connected to several high-capacity power banks inside.
In a corner, an automatic rainwater collection device, fashioned from plastic sheeting and pipes, was also assembled.
Looking at their accomplishments, a satisfied smile appeared on Zhou Ming’s face.
“Ruyan, you’re so smart! With all this, we won’t have to be afraid even if the water and power go out!”
“It’s all thanks to your strength, Ming-ge. I couldn’t have done it alone,” Lin Fan said with a sweet smile, giving him all the credit.
Zhou Ming was puffed up with pride from the praise.
After dinner, Lin Fan said she was too tired from the day and didn’t feel like showering.
She went straight back to her room.
“Goodnight, Ming-ge.”
“Goodnight.”

Zhou Ming watched her walk into the bedroom, and the door clicked shut.
But this time, he keenly heard that there was no sound of the lock turning.
Zhou Ming’s heart leaped.
The night deepened.
Lying on the sofa, Zhou Ming tossed and turned.
The scenes from the day replayed in his mind like a movie.
Her smile, her eyes, the curve of her body when she bent over, the faint fragrance she exuded…
And that unlocked door.
A crazy thought sprouted in his mind like a weed, growing more and more rampant.
Is she hinting at something?
Could she also be… interested in me?
The flames of desire seared his sanity.
He shot up from the sofa, his eyes crimson.
To hell with reason!
To hell with waiting!
I want her now!
He got to his feet, tiptoeing step by step toward that door, which seemed to hold a sliver of hope.
…
Lin Fan lay in bed, her breathing even, as if she were already fast asleep.
But her mind was incredibly clear.
She listened to the sounds from the living room.
The sound of someone turning over, the rustle of someone getting up, and those deliberately lightened footsteps drawing closer and closer.
Here he comes.
The fish is on the hook.
Creeak—
The bedroom door was gently pushed open.
A tall, dark figure loomed over the bed.
Lin Fan could smell the heavy scent of hormones mixed with sweat coming from him.
The next second.
A heavy body pressed down on her!
“Ah!”
Lin Fan’s eyes flew open in “terror” as she let out a short scream.
“Ruyan… I… I want you…”

Zhou Ming’s voice was hoarse and heavy, like a beast that had lost all reason.
His hands began to roughly tear at her nightdress.
Just then.
“Sob… sob…”
Lin Fan didn’t struggle or resist. She just began to cry softly.
Her sobs were filled with terror, grievance, and helplessness, like a kitten drenched in a storm, instantly striking the softest spot deep in Zhou Ming’s heart.
His movements stopped.
“Don’t… don’t do this, Ming-ge…”
Lin Fan’s tears fell like broken strings of pearls, streaming from the corners of her eyes and soaking the pillow.
“I… I’m so scared…”
Her voice trembled, her tear-streaked face enough to break any man’s heart.
“I… I actually… I actually like you…”
Zhou Ming froze.
He never expected to hear such a “confession.”
Lin Fan continued to cry as she spoke, “But… but it’s too dangerous outside right now, there are monsters everywhere… I… I don’t feel safe…”
“Ming-ge, a girl’s first time… is the most precious thing. I want… I want to wait until this crisis is over, until the official rescue arrives, and after we… after we get married, then… then I’ll give my most precious first time to you, okay?”
She looked up at him with tear-filled eyes, her gaze cautious.
“I believe the government will get the situation under control soon. Everything will be okay then.”
“Can… can you wait for me a little longer, please?”
Lin Fan’s words were like a bucket of ice water, dousing all of Zhou Ming’s flames of desire.
Marriage…
First time…
These beautiful words formed an incredibly ironic contrast to his current beastly behavior.
He looked at the girl trembling and crying beneath him, then at himself, and felt he was worse than an animal.
“I… I…”
Zhou Ming’s face was beet red, unable to utter a single word.
Smack!
He slapped himself hard across the face!
The crisp sound was exceptionally jarring in the silent night.
“I’m sorry! Ruyan! I’m sorry! I’m not human! I’m a monster!”
He scrambled off Lin Fan, apologizing incoherently.
Lin Fan sat up, wrapping the blanket around herself, revealing a pair of eyes red and swollen from crying.
With a hint of shyness, she said in a small voice, “Actually… I know…”

“Know what?” Zhou Ming asked, stunned.
“I know you… you took my socks…”
Lin Fan’s face instantly turned red as a ripe apple. She quickly buried her head in the blankets, her voice coming out muffled.
Zhou Ming’s face instantly turned so red it looked like it could bleed.
His dirtiest little secret was known by his goddess!
He wished he could find a hole to crawl into.
Just as he was paralyzed with embarrassment, Lin Fan’s voice, as faint as a mosquito’s buzz, came from under the covers.
“Although… although the most important thing has to wait until we’re married in the future… but… but for now, I can give you a… a little reward…”
“A reward?”
Zhou Ming was completely bewildered.
He saw the blankets on the bed rustling and shifting.
A moment later.
A fair arm extended from under the covers.
In her hand, she clutched a wad of black fabric.
“Ming-ge… this… is for you…”
Lin Fan’s face was still buried deep in the blankets, as if she had reached the pinnacle of shyness.
“This will be our… little secret, okay?”
Zhou Ming saw what was in her hand.
He instinctively tried to refuse. “No… Ruyan, this…”
“Take it.”
Lin Fan’s voice held a hint of a coquettish pout that brooked no argument.
Zhou Ming hesitated for a moment, but in the end, as if possessed, he reached out and took the still-warm fabric.
“Quick… quickly go.”
“Okay, okay! You get some rest!”
As if granted amnesty, Zhou Ming turned and quickly walked out of the room, thoughtfully closing the door for her.
The moment the door closed.
Under the covers, Lin Fan slowly lifted her head.
Where was the slightest trace of shyness or tears on her face?
There was only a cold, triumphant smile.
Zhou Ming, that foolish man.
From this night on, filled with infinite guilt toward her and beautiful hopes for their “future,” he would become an even more loyal, more useful dog.
The psychological attack was a success.
