Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 20 – Contact Plan
Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 20 – Contact Plan
The night was deep.
Zhou Ming lay on the sofa, his hand tightly clutching the black fabric.
“Ruyan…”
He closed his eyes, the scenes from tonight replaying in his mind.
Her tears, her words, and that phrase, “after we get married.”
Guilt washed over him like a tidal wave.
He had almost done something worse than a beast just now!
Ruyan trusted him so much, so pure and beautiful, yet he…
Zhou Ming bit his lip hard.
No!
Ruyan was right. Her first time was the most precious.
Once the official rescue arrived, once order was restored, they could get married.
At that time, he would give her a grand wedding and protect her for a lifetime.
As he thought of this, Zhou Ming’s mood gradually calmed.
He carefully folded the two pieces of intimate apparel and hid them under his pillow.
This was their little secret.
It was her trust in him.
He would absolutely not betray this trust.
…
Meanwhile.
In the master bedroom, Lin Fan lay quietly on the bed.
Zhou Ming, this ticking time bomb, had been temporarily placated.
From the looks of it, he was stable for now.
At least until he completely despaired of order ever being restored, he would be Lin Fan’s most loyal fighter.
A man filled with guilt and fantasy was definitely easier to control than one driven purely by desire.
Because the former was bound by moral shackles, while the latter could be overwhelmed by desire at any moment.
Lin Fan turned over and began to think about her plan for tomorrow.
Lei Li.
That gangster big sister.

The more time passed, the more Lin Fan craved her skin.
If she became Lei Li, possessing that kind of power…
She wouldn’t need any simpering fighters at all.
She could survive just fine in the apocalypse all by herself.
Fragrant Hills International was three kilometers away in a straight line.
The apocalypse had been going on for almost a week.
In her past life, the city-wide power outage had happened around this time.
The food stored by an average family could last a week at most.
In other words, within the next few days, people would start coming out in large numbers to search for supplies.
And the following week would also be the week with the fastest outbreak of zombies.
After a week, people would either have found supplies and be barely surviving, or they would have become zombies.
Time was tight.
She needed to get in touch with Lei Li as soon as possible, within these two days.
It would be best if she could gain her trust and join her group.
Even if that wasn’t possible, she had to create opportunities for continued trade.
With that thought, Lin Fan closed her eyes.
…
The next morning.
Lin Fan woke up early.
She walked to the wardrobe. Today would involve a long trek, so she needed more practical gear.
She changed into a black yoga pants and sportswear set.
The yoga pants clung to her legs, perfectly showcasing their long, slender lines.
Next came a sports bra and a stab-proof vest.
Over that, she put on a gray shell jacket.
The shell jacket was looser than a tight-fitting, quick-dry sports top, and its breathable inner lining was both comfortable and convenient for movement.
On her feet, she still wore long sports socks, pulled over by high-top hiking boots.
Although the outdoor temperature was still around thirty degrees Celsius, safety had to be the top priority.
Lin Fan checked the supplies in her backpack prepared for trade.

Medical supplies were neatly placed in the main compartment.
Antibiotics, painkillers, anti-inflammatories, bandages, alcohol…
These were all treasures in the apocalypse.
She made four more Molotov cocktails and placed them in the side pockets of her two backpacks.
Ever since using them last time, Lin Fan was deeply aware of their power.
They were practically a godsend for clearing out zombies.
While Zhou Ming was still washing up, she took out four of the remaining Molotov cocktails and placed them in her System Space.
This way, Zhou Ming wouldn’t get suspicious.
And at a critical moment, they could be life-saving.
“Ruyan, are you ready?”
Zhou Ming walked out of the bathroom, already dressed in a full set of gear.
A stab-proof vest, knee and elbow pads, and a helmet.
The helmet was a half-shell type he had swiped from an electric scooter downstairs while moving supplies earlier.
He held an entrenching tool and a pot-lid shield, with a telescopic baton hanging from his waist.
“Mhm, I can leave anytime.”
Lin Fan shouldered her backpack and checked her weapons.
A telescopic baton, an entrenching tool, and a few spare kitchen knives.
“Ming-ge, it’s a long journey today. You have to be extra careful.”
She walked up to Zhou Ming, stood on her tiptoes, and gently adjusted the strap on his helmet.
This intimate gesture made Zhou Ming’s heart race.
“Don’t worry, Ruyan. With me here, I’ll never let you get hurt.”
He patted Lin Fan’s arm, his face full of sincerity.
Lin Fan gave a sweet smile.
The two of them, fully armed, pushed open the door.
The corridor was still deathly silent, though the sound of a head banging against a door could be faintly heard from one of the rooms.
It was likely a resident who had turned into a zombie at home and was trapped inside.
They carefully made their way downstairs, clearing out all the zombies in the stairwell.
As they walked out of the residential complex’s main gate, the sunlight was blinding.
The scene on the street was even more gruesome than a few days ago.

Bloodstains were everywhere, and severed limbs littered the ground.
The air was filled with the putrid stench of decay.
“Three kilometers…”
Lin Fan looked in the direction of Fragrant Hills International.
The towering office building was faintly visible in the morning light.
“Ruyan, which way should we go?”
Zhou Ming stuck close to her, vigilantly observing their surroundings.
“Let’s avoid the main roads and take the back alleys.”
Lin Fan pointed to a narrow alley on their left.
“It’ll be a longer route, but it’s safer.”
The two entered the alley.
It was relatively quiet here, with fewer zombies.
But the ubiquitous bloodstains and broken doors and windows were a constant reminder that this world had gone completely mad.
After walking for about a kilometer, a strange sound came from ahead.
“Hrr… Hrr…”
A low, guttural panting.
Lin Fan immediately stopped and signaled for Zhou Ming to stay quiet.
She carefully peeked out to observe.
Ahead in the alley, three zombies were gnawing on something.
Judging from the tattered clothes, it must have been a young woman.
“Three of them. We can handle it,” Lin Fan said in a low voice.
“But we can’t use Molotov cocktails. It’s too wasteful.”
Zhou Ming nodded, tightening his grip on the entrenching tool in his hand.
“I’ll lure them away, you attack from the side.”
“No, that’s too dangerous,” Lin Fan shook her head.
“We’ll attack head-on together. You take the one on the left, I’ll handle the one on the right. We’ll take down the one in the middle together.”
After speaking, she gripped the long-handled spear with both hands.
“Three, two, one!”

The two of them charged out at the same time.
Zhou Ming’s entrenching tool viciously chopped down on the head of the zombie on the left.
The shovel dug deep into the rotten flesh, splattering black blood.
Lin Fan’s spear, meanwhile, accurately pierced the temple of the zombie on the right.
The force of the impact drove the blade at the spear’s tip deep inside.
The middle zombie had just reacted when it was caught in a pincer attack.
Zhou Ming’s second swing smashed its head.
The fight was over in under ten seconds.
“Nice!”
Zhou Ming excitedly wiped the blood from his hands.
“Ruyan, your skills are getting better and better!”
Lin Fan gave a faint smile.
She glanced at the corpse on the ground.
The woman had been gnawed beyond recognition.
From the remnants of her professional attire, she was probably a white-collar worker.
What a pity.
If she were alive, she might have been made into a skin.
The system hadn’t indicated a quantity limit. One more skin meant one more chance of survival for her.
Suddenly, Lin Fan noticed that the corpse had distinct injuries.
There were marks that looked like they were from being bound by ropes and whipped.
This was definitely not the work of zombies.
Someone in this area had already begun to lose their humanity.
Lin Fan instantly became vigilant.
She scanned the surrounding buildings.
These kinds of injuries meant that other survivors had been here before they arrived.
And, they were clearly not good people.
“Ming-ge,” Lin Fan lowered her voice.
“Someone might be watching us.”
