Lin Fan slowly backed away, carefully checking the effect of the bandaging.

“Lei-jie, this is a secret between the two of us.”

She said softly, her voice carrying Chen Yao’s characteristic cloying sweetness.

“I won’t tell anyone.”

Lei Li nodded and put her clothes back on.

“Thank you, Xiao Yao.”

Lin Fan sat back on the sofa, hugging her knees, and struck a cute, girlish pose.

“Lei-jie, actually, I have a secret I want to tell you.”

“What secret?”

Lei Li walked to the liquor cabinet and poured herself another glass of wine.

“I like Lei-jie the most.”

Lin Fan’s cheeks flushed slightly, and her voice became even softer and sweeter.

“If only Lei-jie were a boy.”

Lei Li’s hand froze in mid-air, the wine glass nearly falling.

“I know it’s strange to say this.”
