Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 399 – Locating the Dragon Breeding Farm
Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 399 – Locating the Dragon Breeding Farm
Azurewood City, the newly built semi-underground weapons factory in the western district.
A piercing hum echoed through the spacious testing ground.
The Dwarven master Copperbeard stroked his thick beard, his eyes wide as copper bells.
Standing beside him were three Blue Star weapons engineers with dark circles under their eyes and dangerously receding hairlines.
“Fire.” Lin Fan sat on a leather sofa at the rear, legs crossed, a slim menthol cigarette pinched between her fingers.
A soldier in blast-resistant gear raised a rifle with an exaggerated silhouette.
The body was made of Blue Star composite material, but the barrel was etched with Energy-Gathering Runes, an exclusive creation of the Craftsman City.
At the chamber sat a transparent slot, embedded with a first-tier Crystal.
The soldier squeezed the trigger.
There was no thunderous roar of gunpowder—only an extremely sharp shriek.
A beam of white light as thick as a bucket shot from the muzzle, punching straight through the high-strength alloy test target three hundred meters away.
The edges of the hole were scorched black, still dripping molten metal.

Copperbeard’s beard bristled as he leapt into the air. “Did you see that! The power!”
“The power is acceptable.” Lin Fan blew out a smoke ring. “Now tell me the flaws.”
Copperbeard hurried forward two steps, barely containing his fervor: “Lady Lei Li! The mechanical design from Blue Star is pure genius! We carved the Runes into the inner wall of the barrel and used the Crystal as the driving energy source. That shot just now—its power definitely matches a full-force strike from a third-tier Evolved being!”
“Master Copperbeard, calm down.” One of the Blue Star engineers pushed up his glasses and took over, “Lei Jie, the power is sufficient. But this weapon has a fatal flaw.”
He walked quickly to the soldier, unloaded the transparent slot, and handed it to Lin Fan.
The first-tier Crystal inside had already dimmed, covered in cracks.
Lin Fan pinched it between two fingers, and the Crystal crumbled into powder.
“One first-tier Crystal only lasts for three shots,” the engineer sighed. “Higher-tier Crystals can improve power and endurance. For lower-tier Crystals, as long as we have enough quantity, we can chain them with Runes to power heavy machine guns or laser cannons. But right now, Crystals are exactly what we lack the most. As you know, the Mist Forest has already been pretty much swept clean by us.”
Lin Fan brushed the powder off her hand and stood up. “I’ll figure something out for this. For now, produce the weapons at the current standard. We’ll need them for the defensive battle.”
She turned and walked out of the factory, heading straight for the city lord’s mansion.
Top-floor meeting room of the city lord’s mansion.
Su Yue, Sun Jing, Zhou Ming, Ah Hu, and the other core members were already waiting.

Only three days remained until the Spatial Rift on the Blue Star side officially opened.
“Lei Jie.” Seeing Lin Fan enter, Ah Hu quickly handed her a data tablet. “The people migrating from Blue Star are mostly settled. But daily supplies are being consumed at a huge rate. Add in the Crystal demand report from the weapons factory just now—our stockpile won’t last more than half a month. How about I take the boys back to the Mist Forest, raid a few Mutated Beast nests, and grab some Crystals?”
“No need.” Lin Fan tossed the data tablet onto the table and took her seat at the head.
“If we go back to the Mist Forest again, the animals there are going to go extinct from all your hunting.”
Ah Hu blinked in confusion. “Then what about the weapon energy? We can’t just shut down the factory, can we?”
Lin Fan didn’t answer right away. Instead, she picked up a pen from the table and drew a circle on the whiteboard beside the sand table.
“According to the energy fluctuations, the Rift will open in three days.” Lin Fan looked at the sand table in the conference room. “Every time the Rift opens in the past, the Dragon Clan has precisely deployed massive numbers of Mutated Beasts. There are one hundred and three Rifts in total, and most of them have already been overrun. But for the dozen or so that remain, each one will release at least twenty thousand beasts. That adds up to over two hundred thousand, even three hundred thousand low-level Mutated Beasts.”
She wrote the number “300,000” on the whiteboard.
“That’s at least three hundred thousand Crystals.”
Ah Hu scratched his bald head. “Lei Jie, you mean we just wait for them to come to us before we kill them? But then the pressure on Blue Star would be way too heavy. Can they hold out?”
Lin Fan smiled.
“Do you really think the Dragon Clan has Spatial Ability users running around everywhere, able to teleport hundreds of thousands of Mutated Beasts to precise locations across Blue Star at will?”

Su Yue handed Lin Fan a cup of tea. “Milady, are you saying the Teleportation Channels are actually fixed?”
“Exactly.” Lin Fan took the cup and took a sip. “The only ones in the Dragon Clan who truly master Spatial Ability are that old monster at level nine, the Dragon Ancestor, and the current Dragon Emperor. Even Long Zhan, who’s at the peak of level eight, knows nothing about spatial laws. A teleportation volume this massive absolutely cannot be completed on the fly by just a few people. They must have a massive Mutated Beast breeding ground hidden somewhere, filled with fixed Spatial Teleportation Arrays.”
Zhou Ming’s eyes lit up, and he abruptly stood. “Lei Jie! You want me to locate that breeding ground!”
“Smart.” Lin Fan pointed at Zhou Ming. “Three days from now, when all the Rifts open, the two-world channel will be at its weakest point. When the tidal wave of beasts surges out, the Spatial Fluctuation will also be at its maximum. You don’t need to fight the beasts. I want you to hold your position at the node here in Azurewood City, and pour all your Mental Strength into spatial positioning.”
Lin Fan set down her teacup and drew another arrow on the whiteboard.
“Reverse-lock onto the specific coordinates of that breeding ground for me. Even if you can’t pinpoint it down to the meter, give me a general direction.”
Zhou Ming rubbed his hands together excitedly. “Understood, Lei Jie! As long as there’s Spatial Fluctuation, I can trace it back like following a vine.”
“Hundreds of thousands, even millions of penned-up Mutated Beasts…” Ah Hu swallowed hard, his eyes gleaming. “If we can wipe out that breeding ground in one go, the armory will never have to worry about energy again. Even if we just pile up low-level Crystals, we can forge a heavy-firepower defense line out of sheer quantity.”
Sun Jing poured cold water on them from the side. “That’s assuming we can beat the Dragon Clan guarding that breeding ground. And it’s very likely the Dragon Emperor himself will show up.”
“Even if we can’t beat them, we still have to fight.” Ah Hu stiffened his neck. “Worst case, we bring more people. Even if we have to pile up bodies, we’ll force our way in.”
Lin Fan waved her hand, cutting off their discussion. “That’s all talk for later. You eat a meal one bite at a time. The main event three days from now is still the mess over on Blue Star. Those rats in the Federation’s upper echelons are definitely already tearing into each other. Chu Chen is isolated in western Sichuan, standing alone.”
Su Xiaoxiao, wearing an ill-fitting small-sized business suit and clutching a notepad, poked half her head out from behind Su Yue.

“Sister… are you taking me this time?” The little fox raised her hand timidly.
Lin Fan glanced at her, looking her up and down.
“Stay here and help Su Yue. If a real fight breaks out, I’m afraid your legs will go weak before anyone else’s.”
Su Xiaoxiao’s face flushed bright red, and she lowered her head in grievance. “I… I just wanted to help you.”
“Staying in Azurewood City to help Su Yue manage logistics and accounts is the greatest help you can give me.” Lin Fan stood up, his tone leaving no room for argument. “This time I’m going back to unleash a massacre.”
Su Xiaoxiao quickly nodded and obediently retreated back to Su Yue’s side.
Ah Hu muttered under his breath, “Lei Jie is really furious this time.”
“No kidding.” Sun Jing shot him a glare. “Those Federation bastards betrayed humanity and sided with the Dragon Clan—how could Lei Jie not be angry?”
Lin Fan walked to the window, gazing out at the bustling Azurewood City below.
“Alright. Everyone, go get ready.” Lin Fan waved his hand.
“Su Yue, keep an eye on things at home. With Long Teng and the other two holding things down, nothing major will go wrong. In three days, I’ll head out alone.”
