Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 425 – No One Understands Aggression Better Than I Do

Lin Fan stood at the edge of the massive pit in the training ground.

Forty-three female Mutants lay sprawled at the bottom of the pit, all of them at least Level 6 early stage in strength.

That kick in the control room earlier hadn’t just sent the thick alloy blast door flying—it had also smashed the central control motherboard to pieces.

The capital base was now completely without power, and every surveillance camera had been reduced to scrap metal.

That suited her just fine. It saved her the trouble of exposing the Skin System’s secret.

“System, take them all.”

She issued the command in her mind.

A flash of white light.

Forty-three withered bodies turned to ash, replaced by forty-three Skins radiating a purple glow, floating in mid-air.

Lin Fan reached out with a gesture, and all the Skins flew into the System Space.

She glanced at the inventory in the System Space.

Forty-eight Epic-grade Skins.

“We’re about a quarter of the way there.”

Lin Fan raised an eyebrow.

Back in the early days of the Post-apocalypse, when she was barely scraping by, getting her first Perfect Grade Skin had kept her so excited she couldn’t sleep for three days.

Now, watching dozens of Epic-grade Skins roll in, she couldn’t even muster a ripple of emotion.

Her standards had changed. Even Level 6 Epic-grade Skins were just fodder for evolution in her eyes now.

She looked down at her feet.

The fight had been satisfying, but her flesh-colored stockings had been badly torn from the high-speed movement and brutal physical impacts. The soles of her feet were also covered in dust, stained dark.

“This ground is filthy.”

Lin Fan walked over to a relatively flat stone block and sat down.

She lifted the hem of her cyan Hanfu dress, revealing her fair, slender legs, and peeled off the tattered stockings, tossing them aside.

With a flick of her wrist, a bottle of purified water appeared from the System Space.

She twisted off the cap, and the cool stream washed over her jade-like feet, rinsing away all the dust and bloodstains.

Because of the exertion earlier, a fine layer of sweat had beaded on the tip of her nose and the nape of her neck.

Especially her feet—when she flexed her toes, the sweat between them felt sticky to the touch.

But now, with her body fused with multiple top-tier Bloodlines, her metabolic mechanisms had long undergone a qualitative transformation.

Her sweat carried no trace of odor whatsoever. Instead, it gave off a faint fragrance reminiscent of orchids.

After drying off with a towel, Lin Fan slipped her bare feet into the white embroidered cloth shoes with tassels.

Her toes stretched comfortably against the soft soles, and she stood up with satisfaction.

She pulled a communicator from her chest.

“Has Lu Yuan departed?”

“The transport fleet has already taken off.”

Chu Chen’s voice was steady, without a single wasted word.

“Estimated arrival in five hours to take over the capital defense base. Is their base’s communication down?”

“I just smashed their control console.”

Lin Fan’s tone was casual.

“I’ve left the people for you. Take whatever you want from the base. I’m heading to the Black Palace to have a chat with Wang Shan.”

“Wang Shan’s base defense level is only higher than the capital base’s, never lower. Also, Wang Shan seems to have gotten his hands on a special Mental Strength attack weapon from the Dragon Clan. Watch yourself.”

Chu Chen spoke quickly.

“Against absolute power, a turtle shell is just one kick away, no matter how hard it is.”

Lin Fan hung up the communicator and tucked it back into her chest.

She raised her head, looking west.

Boom!

The ground collapsed into a massive crater as her cyan figure shot into the sky like a streak of light.

A terrifying sonic boom cloud exploded in mid-air, kicking up a fierce gale that scattered the severed limbs and debris across the plaza.

The Ugly Country.

Black Palace Rift Defense Base.

A massive Otherworld Rift pierced the sky and earth, with violent spatial energy continuously surging out from within.

Three people stood around the circular table at the center of the base.

One of them had dark crimson dragon horns and was covered in scales from head to toe.

This was a Collateral Dragonkin of sixth-tier strength.

He sat boldly in the main seat, legs crossed in a casual sprawl.

The other two were a fat old man with a full head of golden hair—Chuan Jinmao, leader of the Ugly Country—and Wang Shan, the head of the Federation’s appeasement faction.

Both of them were bent at the waist, faces plastered with fawning smiles.

“Honorable sir.”

Chuan Jinmao rubbed his hands together, speaking with a strange, twisted accent.

“Do you find our arrangements here to your liking?”

The Collateral Dragonkin picked up the goblet on the table, swirled the red liquid inside, and took a sip.

“Barely passable.”

He shot Chuan Jinmao a sidelong glance.

“You Blue Star people are only good for menial tasks like pouring tea and fetching water.”

Chuan Jinmao nodded repeatedly.

“You speak the truth! No one understands pouring tea and fetching water better than me!”

He thumped his chest.

“I, Chuan Jinmao, swear to you—once the Dragon Clan’s army descends, I will immediately mobilize the full strength of the Ugly Country to serve the great lords with utmost loyalty!”

“Hm.”

The Collateral Dragonkin grunted.

“The lords of Dragon Emperor Hall place great importance on this rift.”

He tapped the table with his clawed fingers.

“Listen carefully. The Dragon Emperor is currently channeling his Origin Power to fully expand this Space Gate’s energy tolerance.”

Wang Shan perked up his ears on the side.

“Does the sir mean…”

Wang Shan probed cautiously.

“This rift will soon be able to accommodate peak seventh-tier powerhouses to pass through!”

The Collateral Dragonkin raised his chin arrogantly.

“Before long, the high-tier combat forces of our Dragon Emperor Hall will descend in great numbers!”

Chuan Jinmao’s eyes lit up.

“Excellent! No one understands invasion better than me!”

He gestured wildly with excitement.

“Once the peak seventh-tier lords arrive, those rebellious pests on Blue Star will all be crushed to death!”

He leaned in and lowered his voice.

“Sir, once we take down the remaining rifts and gain complete control of Blue Star…”

“Your rewards won’t be lacking.”

The Collateral Dragonkin cut him off.

“As long as you obediently follow orders, the lords will properly reward you.”

“Thank you, sir!”

Chuan Jinmao was beaming with joy.

“Then our Ugly Country can completely break away from the Blue Star Federation, attach ourselves to the great Dragon Clan, and become the undisputed hegemon of Blue Star!”

He even began fantasizing about the scene of himself giving a speech atop the ruins.

Wang Shan watched Chuan Jinmao’s ridiculous expression, a flicker of contempt passing through his eyes.

But when he turned to look at the Collateral Dragonkin, he smiled even more obsequiously than Chuan Jinmao.

“Sir.”

Wang Shan pulled a black metal box from his chest.

Opening the box, inside were neatly arranged over a dozen advanced Crystals gleaming with dazzling light.

All of them were high-grade goods of fifth-tier or above.

“A small token of appreciation, hardly worth mentioning.”

Wang Shan pushed the box in front of the other man.

The Collateral Dragonkin’s eyes lit up.

He reached out, grabbed a Crystal, and greedily inhaled the energy contained within it.

“You old fox—you’re more sensible than this golden-haired one.”

He stuffed the box into his robes and glanced sideways at Wang Shan.

Wang Shan smiled ingratiatingly.

“With you gracing us with your presence, sir, this is only what this subordinate should do. For our future duties here on Blue Star, we’ll have to rely on you putting in a good word for us before Dragon Emperor Hall.”

“Easy, easy.”

The Collateral Dragonkin, having received the bribe, was in a much better mood.

Chuan Jinmao watched from the side, fuming helplessly.

“Wang, this is unsportsmanlike!”

Chuan Jinmao pointed at Wang Shan.

“How could you keep something this good hidden away and not present it to the esteemed one earlier?”

“This is called preparing for a rainy day.”

Wang Shan sneered.

“Besides talking, what tangible contribution can you actually offer?”

“You!”

Chuan Jinmao was left speechless with rage.

“Enough, stop bickering.”

The Collateral Dragonkin waved a hand impatiently.

“If you two have nothing better to do, go out and capture more high-tier prey. The Dragon Emperor Hall has a tremendous demand for pure energy.”

“Of course! Of course!”

The two said in unison.

Wang Shan glanced at the massive Rift.

“Esteemed one, if I may ask, roughly how much longer until the passage is expanded?”

Wang Shan lowered his voice.

“Within the next few days.”

The Collateral Dragonkin picked at his nails.

“What, getting impatient?”

“It’s not that I’m impatient.”

Wang Shan sighed.

“The Federation has been restless lately—those stubborn hardliners keep causing trouble. And out in Western Chuan… something’s gone wrong.”

“What kind of trouble?”

“My Experimental Subjects and the hardliners’ augmented human forces were wiped out completely in Western Chuan.”

Wang Shan gnashed his teeth.

The Collateral Dragonkin sneered.

“What could a single force possibly accomplish? Once our seventh-tier experts arrive, they can crush them with a single finger.”

“Of course, of course.”

Wang Shan quickly flattered.

“With the Dragon Emperor Hall’s army here, Blue Star’s resistance is nothing but a joke.”

“At least you know how to talk.”

The Collateral Dragonkin stood up and stretched.

“I’m going to rest in the back for a while. You two keep a tight watch on the perimeter. Energy fluctuations have been frequent these days—don’t let anything go wrong.”

“Rest assured, esteemed one. We guarantee everything will go without a hitch.”

Wang Shan bowed.

The Collateral Dragonkin turned and headed toward the base’s luxurious lounge.

Once he was out of earshot, Chuan Jinmao’s face immediately darkened.

“Wang, are you really planning to keep treating these monsters like royalty?”

Chuan Jinmao glared at Wang Shan.

“What else? You want to fight them?”

Wang Shan sneered.

“Can you afford to provoke a peak seventh-tier otherworldly powerhouse?”

“What I’m saying is, we should keep some options open.”

Chuan Jinmao straightened his tie.

“These monsters have insatiable appetites. Sooner or later, they’ll swallow us whole.”

“Getting on this ship was easy; getting off won’t be. The Dragon Clan wants to turn Blue Star into a breeding ground. As long as we can hold on to our own slice of privilege, nothing else matters.”

A cold ruthlessness flickered in Wang Shan’s eyes.

“Fair enough.”

Chuan Jinmao nodded.

“As long as I can still be the boss, nothing else matters.”
