Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 523 – Your Wings Have Become Roasted Chicken Wings
The clouds above the northern city wall were torn apart.
Violet-gold light collided with golden light, and the massive energy ripple crushed the raindrops in midair.
Long Zhan stood in midair, clenching his fist, and drove it straight forward.
Long Teng did not dodge. Holding his sword with both hands, he slashed downward to meet Long Zhan’s fist.
A dull thud echoed across the sky.
Long Zhan’s fist slammed into Long Teng’s left shoulder. The shoulder caved in on the spot, the sound of shattering bones clearly audible.
Yet he did not even furrow his brow. The silver longsword followed through, chopping into Long Zhan’s neck.
The violet-gold scales blocked the blade, leaving only a faint white mark.
Long Zhan backhanded Long Teng, sending him flying.
Long Teng tumbled several times in the air before steadying himself. He spat out a large mouthful of blood, then raised his sword and charged back into the fray.
“Fearless of pain, unafraid of death.”
Long Zhan watched Long Teng rushing at him, then glanced sideways at Long Yi, who had transformed into a Five-Clawed Golden Dragon and was spewing Dragon Breath wildly. Finally, he turned his gaze downward to Long Yan, who gripped his blade with both hands.
Long Zhan sneered. “This Domain of yours does have some tricks. But all it’s doing is burning through their lives.”
Long Yan stood at the highest point of the eastern wall. His golden Combat Domain continued to expand, enveloping Long Teng and Long Yi within it.
As long as they were inside this Domain, no matter how severe the wounds they took, their combat power would not diminish—it would instead double, and all sense of pain would be completely suppressed.
But this ability had a fatal flaw.
The wounds were still bleeding. The internal organs were still rupturing. The physical toll was real.
It was essentially trading their lives for a short burst of extreme output. Once the Domain was lifted, if they did not receive timely treatment, they would die on the spot.
“If Lei Li’s Life Domain were here, the three of us could wear you down until you died.”
Long Yan gripped his Runic Longblade tightly, kicked off the ground, and shot into the sky, bringing his blade down in a single overhead strike.
“There is no ‘if’ in this world.”
Long Zhan crushed the incoming golden blade light with his bare hand, then casually kicked Long Yan in the chest.

Long Yan’s entire body smashed through the city wall below.
But he quickly climbed back out of the rubble. A flash of golden light passed over him, and he shot back up into the air once more.
“Then we’ll hold you back with our lives!”
Long Yi roared as he lunged at Long Zhan.
Three Rank 8 Powerhouses against a single peak Rank 8—it was nothing short of a suicidal struggle.
And at this moment, within Azurewood City, the battle had descended into complete chaos.
Over a hundred Rank 7 Pureblood Giant Dragons had broken through the city wall defenses and were rampaging through the streets, wreaking havoc.
In the command center, Su Yue shouted hoarsely as she issued orders: “Second squad, fall back to the third defensive line! Artillery, aim at the main street—fire!”
Crystal Core Gun beams struck densely against a Rank 7 black dragon’s body, leaving only a few shallow black marks on its hard Dragon Scales.
The black dragon opened its massive jaws and spat out a stream of black Dragon Breath.
More than a dozen guardsmen, along with the cover they were hiding behind, were melted on the spot.
On another street, a forty-meter-long red dragon spotted civilians who were evacuating. It spread its dark red leathery wings and dove down with terrifying wind pressure.
Blue Star Gene Warriors of the guard squad raised their weapons, staring in despair as the colossal creature grew closer and closer.
Tap. Tap. Tap.
The crisp sound of footsteps rang out through the chaotic street.
From the shadows of the rubble, a young girl stepped out.
She wore a white sailor uniform with a red-and-black plaid pleated skirt.
Her black, princess-cut hair fell to her waist. Beneath her neat bangs were a pair of large, clear black-and-white eyes.
Black stockings clung tightly to her thighs, and on her feet were a pair of coffee-colored chunky-heeled leather shoes.
On a battlefield thick with gunpowder smoke and strewn with severed limbs, the appearance of such a petite girl in a Sakura Island aristocratic school uniform was utterly incongruous.
A cigarette, unlit, dangled from the girl’s lips. She looked up at the red dragon diving toward her.

“Run! Don’t just stand there!”
A Gene Warrior shouted at her.
Lin Fan ignored him. She took the cigarette from her mouth, held it between her fingers, and said one sentence to the red dragon in midair, in a flat tone.
“Your wings turn into roasted chicken wings.”
There was no fluctuation of Spirit Energy, no convergence of elements.
Just an ordinary sentence.
But under the innate rule of Reality Rewrite, this sentence was the truth of this space.
In midair, the red dragon’s two dark-red leathery wings, spanning dozens of meters when fully spread, began to warp without any warning.
It took only one second.
The physical structure and material form were forcibly altered.
The once imposing dragon wings vanished, replaced by two colossal chicken wings, their surfaces roasted to a golden, crispy perfection, with hot oil still dripping off them.
A rich aroma of cumin and chili powder even spread through the air.
The red dragon immediately lost its balance, its massive body completely out of control in the sky.
Its huge eyes were filled with incomprehensible terror.
Bang!
The dragon’s head slammed heavily into the street, smashing a crater several meters deep into the pavement.
The two absurdly large roasted chicken wings lay limply sprawled across the rubble, still steaming.
The red dragon struggled desperately to take flight again, but all its nerves transmitted was the sensation of cooked meat—it couldn’t muster any strength at all.
The Gene Warriors were all stunned speechless. They even forgot to fire their guns.
Lin Fan stepped in her leather shoes to the edge of the crater, tilted her head, and examined the two roasted wings.
“Looks decent, but too big to take a bite out of.”
Lin Fan pursed her lips.

A gust of wind came from the right.
A seventh-rank black dragon had noticed the anomaly here. It roared and charged over, its massive black Dragon Claws tearing through the air, aiming directly for Lin Fan’s head.
Lin Fan didn’t even turn her head.
“Your Dragon Claws turn into pickled pepper chicken feet.”
The moment the words left her mouth.
The black dragon’s razor-sharp claws, capable of cutting through alloy, stopped less than two meters from the top of Lin Fan’s head. Their color immediately lightened, the skin turned pale and slick, and all the hard keratin layers disappeared.
Even more absurdly, a dozen or so yellow-green wild pickled peppers materialized out of thin air between the gaps of the claws.
The pungent sour-and-spicy vinegar smell overpowered the gunpowder smoke on the street.
The black dragon’s mouth hung wide open as it stared at its own pale, vinegary claws. The momentum of its charge sent it tumbling face-first into the ground, sliding along the street until it came to a stop at Lin Fan’s feet.
“I said you all can withstand the Dragon Clan head-on.”
Lin Fan turned her head, looked at the group of guards who had frozen in place not far away, and casually added another sentence.
Word-to-Law, rule empowered.
The black dragon refused to accept such humiliation. Its hind legs suddenly pushed off with force, and its thick tail swept toward the dozen or so guards with the power of ten thousand jun.
The guards had no time to dodge. They could only instinctively raise their arms to block.
Boom.
A shockwave of air rolled outward.
The dozen or so guards stood firmly in place, not taking a single step back.
The black dragon, however, let out a miserable shriek. The moment its tailbone made contact with the guards’ arms, it snapped into several pieces on the spot.
“What the hell is going on… Am I invincible now?”
A Gene Warrior stared at his unscathed arm, muttering to himself.
Lin Fan placed the menthol cigarette back between her lips, a small flame flickering at her fingertip to light it.

She took a drag, blew out a smoke ring, and set off north along the main street in her brown leather shoes.
The rhythmic “clack” of her heels against the gravel became the only cadence on the entire street.
With every intersection she passed, she delivered another verdict.
“Your dragon tail turns into a French baguette.”
“Your dragon scales turn into pink Hello Kitty stickers.”
“Your Dragon Breath turns into bubble-blowing.”
Across all of Azurewood City, a catastrophe of utterly absurd proportions had descended.
An earth dragon poised to sweep its tail and kill found its tail transforming mid-swing into a thick baguette, which slammed into a wall and shattered into dozens of pieces, scattering crumbs across the ground.
A black dragon that had been imposing just moments before suddenly found its heavy scales replaced by a coat of pink cartoon stickers.
Gazing at its own glossy, pink-reflecting body, it let out a mortified whimper before its companions.
The worst off was an ice dragon that had been charging up a high-pressure frozen Dragon Breath. Its jaws snapped open wide—and a stream of colorful soap bubbles floated out, refracting the sunlight into a dazzling, dreamlike spectrum.
The defenders shifted from utter terror to utter bewilderment, and finally plunged into a frenzy of harvesting.
“Chop down the one dropping breadcrumbs!”
“Skin the one covered in pink stickers!”
Within ten minutes of Lin Fan’s arrival, the tide of battle had reversed in a way no one could comprehend.
The vaunted physical might and elemental power of the seventh-rank Purebloods had become a joke in the face of these nonsensical rules.
Lin Fan paid no further attention to the remaining rabble in the city. She walked to the tallest ruined wall of the lord’s manor and stopped.
She raised her head, her delicate, innocent features turning toward the sky above.
Up there, three streams of golden light were being suppressed relentlessly by a violet-gold radiance. Long Yan, Long Teng, and Long Yi were already at their last gasp.
Lin Fan flicked away the spent cigarette butt and smiled.
“That fight up there sure is lively.”
