Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 548 – Let’s Take a Bath Together
Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 548 – Let’s Take a Bath Together
Lin Li’s gaze had not yet withdrawn from the crack in the door when the doorknob let out a crisp click.
The metal door swung outward.
Lei Li stepped out.
She closed the door behind her with a light, careful motion.
The moment she turned, the corridor’s ceiling light fell across her face, revealing the exhaustion etched into her features.
Dark circles ringed her eyes, and the hem of her black leather jacket still bore smudges of dirt that hadn’t been wiped clean.
Lei Li raised a hand to pinch the bridge of her nose, letting out a long breath.
“Lei Jie.”
Xiao Yao stepped half a pace forward, shifting the bath towel in her arms.
“Standing guard the whole time isn’t going to do you any good. I’m taking Lin Li up to the fourth floor to wash up—why don’t you come with us and soak for a bit to unwind?”
Lei Li paused mid-motion, her gaze passing over Xiao Yao to land on Lin Li behind her.
The air in the corridor was a little chilly.
Lin Li stood there in that ill-fitting white dress, hands twisted together, watching her without blinking.
There was a hint of curiosity in those bright, dark eyes.
Caught under that gaze, the tension in Lei Li’s expression eased.
“Alright.”
Lei Li nodded.
“Fourth floor, then.”
The three of them climbed the stairs together.
The rules at Fragrant Hills International were strictly enforced these days.
Water resources were under unified control, and the big bathhouse on the fourth floor only ran hot water during a designated window each evening.
The rule had originally been Lei Li’s own—a measure to conserve fuel for the diesel generator.
But by now, everyone in this building had lived through life and death alike, had seen sights that defied imagination.
The nightly bathhouse had instead become one of the few places of genuine relaxation for the senior women of the base.
When they pushed open the wooden door to the fourth-floor changing room, a wave of warm, humid air rushed to meet them.
Xiao Yao locked the door behind them and hung up the “In Use” sign.
Lei Li walked over to the row of long storage lockers and pulled open her personal compartment.
Without the slightest hesitation, she grabbed the hem of her leather jacket and yanked it upward.
The jacket, along with the tight black tank top underneath, was tossed into the locker in one motion.
Next came the metallic clink of the belt buckle springing open.

The leather pants hit the floor.
In the span of two or three seconds, Lei Li had stripped down completely.
Her muscles, honed by years of combat, were firm and compact, a healthy wheat tone under the fluorescent light, with two faint knife scars across her abdomen adding to the sense of raw strength.
Xiao Yao was just as straightforward by nature.
Humming a tune off-key, she peeled off her white coat and shirt in short order.
She folded her discarded clothes neatly, then turned to grab her towel—only to notice Lin Li still standing by the door.
Lin Li pressed herself against the door panel, both hands clutching the hem of her skirt, unmoving.
“What are you standing there for?”
Xiao Yao tilted her chin up and waved her over.
“Strip already—the water’s going to get cold soon.”
Lin Li’s fair cheeks flushed crimson in an instant.
The red spread from the roots of her ears all the way down her neck.
Though she had lost her memories and carried none of the world’s conventional inhibitions in her mind, facing two naked women at once still stirred an instinctive awkwardness in her body.
“I…”
Lin Li bit her lip, hesitantly raising her hand.
Her fingers found the zipper at the nape of her dress.
She pulled it down with a soft tug.
The white dress slipped from her shoulders, pooling at her ankles.
The changing room fell suddenly silent.
Only the low hum of the exhaust fan continued its steady drone.
The towel Xiao Yao had just picked up slipped from her fingers and hit the floor with a soft thud.
Lei Li, who had been bent over organizing her locker, glanced over at the sound.
The moment her eyes landed, her movements froze as well.
Too beautiful.
This was a beauty that transcended ordinary perception—flawless in every conceivable way.
Lin Li’s figure was almost exaggerated in its proportions.
Her slender waist and rounded hip line formed a perfect golden ratio.
Her skin was extraordinary, like high-purity white jade with a translucent quality. Beneath that jade-toned surface, no pores, veins, or fat deposits were visible—only faint patterns of energy that seemed to shimmer through.
Xiao Yao swallowed hard, then darted forward in a few quick steps until she stood right before Lin Li.

She reached out with both hands and pressed them directly against Lin Li’s waist.
The sensation against her palms was smooth and slightly cool, with no resistance whatsoever.
“Oh my god.”
Xiao Yao groped and looked her up and down at the same time, exclaiming in constant amazement.
“When I examined you, I already knew your body was perfect—but seeing it through clothes versus seeing it without is a completely different level of impact.”
Lin Li felt ticklish from the touching and awkwardly stepped back half a step, shielding herself with her hands.
Xiao Yao followed her step for step, eyes wide as saucers.
Her gaze swept over Lin Li’s body again and again.
“This is insane.”
Xiao Yao clicked her tongue in wonder, her fingers gliding from Lin Li’s waistline all the way up to her collarbone, then tracing down along her shoulder.
“Your entire body—aside from that head of white hair and those gorgeous eyebrows and lashes—doesn’t have a single stray hair anywhere.”
She leaned in to inspect Lin Li’s underarms, then crouched down to examine her legs, and finally let her gaze settle on a certain area.
“Completely clean.”
Xiao Yao looked up, her face brimming with curiosity.
“Tell me honestly—do you shave yourself this smooth, or were you born like this?”
The question made Lin Li’s face flush so red it looked ready to drip blood.
She quickly grabbed a large bath towel from the rack and wrapped it around herself, shaking her head repeatedly.
“I don’t know… I was already like this when I woke up.”
“It must be how I was born.”
Xiao Yao stood up, stroking her chin with an air of great seriousness.
“Born without even a single pore—that’s so convenient it’s almost cheating.”
At that, Xiao Yao’s head swiveled, and her gaze locked directly onto Lei Li, who had been watching the scene unfold like a spectator.
She extended a finger and pointed in Lei Li’s direction, a mischievous grin curling at the corner of her mouth.
“See how great Lin Li is? That’s one thing where you two are completely different.”
“Our Lei Jie might have a smoking-hot figure, but her body hair is plenty thick—she has to take a razor to it every—”
Before she could finish.
A hand dripping with water shot out.
Smack.
A crisp sound rang out as Lei Li’s palm landed squarely on the back of Xiao Yao’s head.

“Ow!”
Xiao Yao clutched the back of her skull and stumbled forward two steps, turning around with a pitiful, aggrieved look.
Lei Li stepped forward, back straight, hands on her hips.
She deliberately thrust her chest out.
Looking down at Xiao Yao from above, Lei Li let out a cold laugh.
“You little brat—no filter on that mouth of yours.”
“Before you go commenting on anyone else’s body hair density, maybe take a look down at the pathetic excuse for a chest you’ve got first.”
Xiao Yao was completely stumped by that retort.
She looked down at her own barely-there curves, then turned to glance at Lei Li’s impressive assets, and finally shifted her gaze to Lin Li, who—even wrapped in a bath towel—couldn’t hide her figure.
Xiao Yao hung her head low and shuffled toward the inner bathroom, muttering under her breath.
“What’s wrong with being small… as long as it feels good in the hand, that’s what matters.”
“One of these days, when I find a mutant fruit that promotes secondary development, just you wait—I’ll make you both eat my dust.”
Lei Li was amused by her expression.
She turned to look at Lin Li, her cold severity fading as she gestured toward the steaming bathroom inside.
“Come on, let’s soak and talk in there. The water temperature is just right.”
The three of them walked into the inner chamber.
At the center of the bathhouse was a pool converted from a swimming pool, spanning several dozen square meters.
The pool walls were lined with white tiles, and pipes overhead continuously fed warm, temperature-regulated water into it, steam rising from the surface.
Lei Li was the first to step down the stairs, submerging half her body in the water.
She leaned against the pool wall, tilted her head back, and let out a long, relieved sigh.
Xiao Yao grabbed three wooden ladles from the side, set them on the edge, and followed her into the water.
Lin Li walked slowly to the poolside.
She untied her bath towel, and a pair of pale, slender calves dipped into the water.
The moment the warm liquid enveloped her skin, Lin Li’s movements paused briefly.
Her body, composed of high-purity energy crystals and meridians, showed no rejection upon contact with ordinary hot water. Instead, as the water slid across her skin, faint rings of pale green life-glow rippled outward.
Lin Li sat down beside Lei Li, the warm water rising past her collarbones.
Her long white hair was pinned up hastily with a wooden hairpin at the back of her head, a few damp strands clinging to her cheeks.
Xiao Yao swam to the opposite side, resting her chin on the pool’s edge as she gazed at Lin Li’s face through the rising steam.
“Honestly,” Xiao Yao said, idly splashing the water, breaking the brief silence, “there’s been so much going on at the base lately. We haven’t even finished dissecting the Mutant remains that came in today.”

“But the most headache-inducing thing is still Lin Fan’s condition.”
At the sound of that name, Lin Li’s hand, which had been stirring the water, froze mid-motion.
She looked up, her gaze cutting through the mist toward Lei Li.
Lei Li’s eyes, which had been closed, slowly opened.
The heat of the pool water had tinged the corners of her eyes with a faint red.
“Has there been no improvement at all in his condition?”
Lei Li asked, her tone lacking its usual assertiveness.
Xiao Yao shook her head.
“His vital signs are stable—actually even stronger than a normal person’s.”
Xiao Yao let out a sigh.
“But I did a thorough check of his brainwaves today. That kind of flat frequency isn’t like normal dormancy. It’s more like some deep-level self-isolation.”
“Given how he went all out against the Dragon Emperor before, his Spatial Ability and Mental Strength must have been pushed past their limits.”
Lei Li said nothing, just sank her chin halfway into the water.
A few bubbles gurgled up to the surface.
Lin Li leaned against the pool wall, her hands moving unconsciously beneath the water.
“He…” Lin Li ventured softly, her voice barely audible.
“What kind of person is he?”
Lei Li turned her head to look at Lin Li.
“He’s a madman,” Lei Li said.
“A madman who carries everyone’s lives on his own shoulders and refuses to let go no matter what.”
“If he hadn’t forcibly used his Spatial Ability that day to break the Rift through which the Dragon Emperor was entering Blue Star, all of us—including all of Fragrant Hills International, and this very Blue Star beneath our feet—would have been reduced to rubble long ago.”
Lin Li listened to these words, remembering nothing at all, her mind a complete blank.
Yet when she heard words like “Spatial” and “Dragon Emperor,” her heart pounded uncontrollably twice.
Same origin.
That phrase surfaced from the depths of Lin Li’s mind.
She couldn’t understand why she would have such a bizarre intuition about a man she had never even met.
The man lying unconscious in the hospital ward had always been one with her.
They had walked different paths, made different choices, yet in the end, they collided in this time and space.
