Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 555 – The Person Returning Home
(Thank you to the readers for their gifts, here’s the third update of the day)
In the corridor outside the ward, Lin Li stood on her tiptoes, both hands cradling Chu Chen’s head.
Chu Chen froze completely.
“What are you doing?”
“Looking for the lock.” Lin Li tilted her head, her fingers threading through his messy hair as if searching for something. “Don’t move, I think… I can feel it.”
The lollipop in Chu Chen’s mouth nearly fell out. He wanted to step back, but the moment his foot moved half a step, a warm current seeped in from Lin Li’s fingertips.
Something carrying primordial vitality seeped in from her fingertips, burrowing through his scalp and diving deep into his mind.
Chu Chen’s eyes flew wide open.
That warm current shot straight toward the barrier he had set deep in his brain. No guidance needed—it knew exactly where to go on its own.
The Psychic Barrier he had personally erected twenty years ago was now being melted away, bit by bit.
Chu Chen’s body began to tremble.
It was a strange, tingling numbness that raced from his head all the way to his limbs. The world shifted in his perception—the flickering of the corridor’s fluorescent lights, the faint sounds within the walls, even the breathing of three people in a ward thirty meters away. All that chaotic information came flooding in at once.
“Hiss…” Chu Chen sucked in a sharp breath, grabbing Lin Li’s wrist. “Wait, slow down, too much information…”
Lin Li blinked. “But I’m not controlling it. It went in on its own.”
Chu Chen: “…”
“Oh, and also…”
A USB drive materialized in Lin Li’s hand out of thin air.
“This is something a person who looked exactly like you gave me—in my memories.”
She didn’t know why she had a built-in spatial storage, or why she’d instinctively pulled out that USB drive, but she had a feeling.
This thing was important. It had to do with whether she could get home.
Just then, the communicator on Chu Chen’s waist suddenly went off.
A piercing highest-level alarm blared through the corridor. Chu Chen answered with one hand while Lin Li’s hand remained on his head.
“Report! Massive Spatial Fluctuation detected in the Hangzhou direction! The Rift is expanding rapidly!”

“Energy Level?” Chu Chen’s voice instantly switched to someone else entirely.
“Five level-eight signal sources… and one…” The voice on the other end was trembling. “Level-nine.”
Chu Chen’s hand paused for a second.
The communicator kept talking, but he’d stopped listening. Five level-eights plus one level-nine—that configuration, three months ago, would have been enough to plow through all of Blue Star three times over.
The ward door was pushed open from inside.
The man was already on his feet. All the IV lines had been ripped out, his upper body bare, black hair sticking messily to his forehead. His eyes no longer held that fragile look from before—they had regained a chillingly familiar calm.
“Hangzhou.” He said only that one word.
Chu Chen looked at him. “You sensed it?”
“Spatial Fluctuation.” The man walked out of the ward, barefoot on the floor tiles, each step carrying an unshakable certainty. “This Rift’s structure is different from the one I blew up. More primitive. More powerful.”
Lei Li and Sun Jing chased after him.
“You just woke up!” Lei Li grabbed his arm. “Your body…”
“I’m fine.” He turned his hand around and gripped Lei Li’s, gentle but steady. “Lily, you and Jing’er hold down Fragrant Hills International.”
Lei Li bit her lip. “What about you?”
The man did not answer immediately. He turned around, his gaze passing over Lei Li’s shoulder and landing on Lin Li at the end of the corridor.
The white-haired woman stood there quietly, her hand still in the position where she had just patted Chu Chen’s head, tilting her head as she looked at him.
The two locked eyes. One was a man who had come back from three hundred years ago, willing to do anything to return home. The other was a woman who had lost all her memories, yet instinctively wanted to go home.
“You’re coming with me,” he said.
Lin Li nodded, not asking why.
Lei Li grew anxious. “She doesn’t have any abilities at all! If you take her—”
“She’ll be fine.” The man cut her off, his tone resolute.
He walked up to Lin Li, lowered his head to look at that beautiful face, and was silent for three seconds.
“Once I end all of this,” his voice was soft, “I will tell you everything. Including who you are. Including what I’ve done.”

“When that time comes, I will atone for all my sins.”
Lin Li raised her head, those iridescent eyes reflecting his face.
“You’re going to fight?”
“Yeah.”
“Then let me finish petting him before we go.” As she spoke, Lin Li reached her hand out toward Chu Chen again.
Chu Chen: “…I never agreed to this.”
But the warm current surged in once more—this time faster and more intense. Chu Chen felt as though the wall in his mind had collapsed all at once, and the mental power sealed for twenty years came flooding out, filling his entire head.
The world changed.
All the data, variables, and possibilities arranged and combined themselves automatically before his eyes, yielding results in an instant.
Chu Chen closed his eyes, then opened them.
“Hangzhou,” he said, speaking three times faster than usual. “Five Level 8s, one Level 9. Based on the rate the Rift is expanding, they’ll fully descend in forty minutes at the latest. That Level 9… if I’m calculating correctly, should be the Dragon Emperor.”
The man glanced at him, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.
“Just as expected of you.”
Chu Chen pulled a lollipop from his pocket, tore off the wrapper, and popped it into his mouth.
“So, what level are you, exactly?”
The man said nothing. But the air around him began to warp, and a layer of visible gray-black energy seeped out from the surface of his skin, dimming the surrounding light.
In the darkness, only his eyes shone bright.
“Half-step Level 10.”
Chu Chen’s chewing paused for a moment.
“If I’m guessing right, your Spirit Energy hasn’t recovered yet, has it?”
Lin Fan let out a cold laugh.
“More than enough to deal with them.”

Forty minutes later, the Hangzhou Rift.
A gash several hundred meters long split open in the sky. Five enormous dragon silhouettes dropped down from within, each one carrying an aura capable of crushing an entire city.
Leading them was a massive dark-golden dragon, coiling beneath the Rift, its vertical slit pupils surveying this unfamiliar land below.
Long Zhan. Peak Level 8.
Behind him, Long Ye, Long Jingtian, Long Junshan, and Long Teng—the four elders—appeared one after another.
And deep within the Rift, an even more terrifying aura of death was drawing closer.
At the end of the ruined highway, a barefoot man accompanied by a white-haired woman was walking toward this direction.
The man stopped, looking up at the five dragon silhouettes in the sky.
Wind poured down from the Rift, sending Lin Li’s white hair flying wildly.
She stood half a step behind him, barefoot on the cracked asphalt, quietly gazing up at the sky.
“They’re big,” she said.
The man didn’t turn around. “Seeing them… does it feel familiar?”
“I don’t recall.” Lin Li thought seriously for a moment. “I just feel… it’s so noisy.”
Long Zhan’s eyes locked onto the two people on the ground below. One was a white-haired woman with no Spirit Energy fluctuation whatsoever, and the other…
His eyes narrowed sharply.
The aura emanating from that black-haired man reminded him of a legendary name within the Dragon Clan.
“This aura.” Long Zhan’s voice descended from high above, carrying the distinctive resonance of the Pureblood Dragon Clan. “How is this possible—the aura of the Ancestor.”
“You’ve mistaken me.” The man’s voice reached the ears of every dragon present, clear and unmistakable. “My surname is Lin.”
He raised his right hand.
Grayish-black mist erupted without reservation from his palm—far more violent than the time in the hospital room. The Domain of Death Rules expanded outward from him as its center. Wherever the Domain passed, weeds on the ground withered, rubble crumbled into dust, and even the air itself seemed to change.
All five giant dragons felt the oppressive pressure simultaneously.
Long Ye was the first to react. “No! He’s not Level Eight! This Energy Level…”

“Level Nine!” Long Junshan’s voice trembled. “How is that possible? When did Blue Star ever have a Level Nine human?”
Long Zhan said nothing. He stared at the man below.
Though the face was different, that cold indifference that regarded nothing in the world with any importance, and that aura of the Death Rule—
Both were exactly like Long Hao’s.
“What exactly are you?” Long Zhan asked in a low voice.
The man smiled. Not mockingly, not tauntingly—but with the relief of one who had finally reached the end of a long road.
“A man who has just come home.”
He tilted his head and glanced at Lin Li.
“Step back three hundred meters. Don’t come close.”
Lin Li obediently took two steps back, then stopped. She tilted her head. “How far is three hundred meters?”
“…Just stay away from me.”
“Oh.” Lin Li took two more steps back, then crouched down beside a collapsed road sign at the edge of the street, propping her chin on both hands like a spectator ready to watch the show.
The man withdrew his gaze and looked back up at the sky.
Five Level Eights.
And behind the Rift, a Level Nine was still descending.
Had this been three hundred years ago, facing this lineup would have been hopeless for him.
But things were different now.
Three hundred years of slaughter, fusion, and solitude had transformed him into someone entirely new.
“Three hundred years.” He murmured to himself, his voice barely audible.
“I slaughtered an entire generation of your clan to earn the right to stand here today.”
“Now, I’m going to end all of this—completely.”
