Skinwalker Belle – Chapter 92 – Dividing the Troops

The convoy stopped one kilometer from the military camp’s perimeter.

Dead silence.

The air was filled with a peculiar smell, a mixture of rot and dust.

In the distance, the military camp was like a steel behemoth crouching amidst the ruins, silent and emanating an ominous aura.

Lin Fan hovered fifty meters in the air, her black leather suit reflecting a cold sheen under the gloomy sky.

Her gaze pierced the distance, locking directly onto the familiar watchtower.

The top of the tower was empty.

But Lin Fan knew that woman was there.

“Su Meng, link the core members.”

Lin Fan’s voice, transmitted through a mental link, rang directly in the minds of Ah Hu, Zhou Ming, Chen Wan, and Li Qing.

“Understood, Lei-jie.”

Su Meng’s soft but firm voice replied.

The next second, an invisible psychic network connected the five of them tightly.

“Lei-jie, what’s the plan?”

Ah Hu’s voice echoed in the link, tinged with an eager fighting spirit.

“Split up.”

Lin Fan’s voice was simple and clear.

“Ah Hu, take twenty people from the strength-type group. Your target is the equipment depot directly ahead.”

“I need you to get all the heavy weapons and ammunition out of there as fast as you can. Arm yourselves to the teeth.”

Ah Hu’s breathing grew noticeably heavier.

“Understood!”

“Zhou Ming.”

Lin Fan’s voice turned in another direction.

“Here.”

Zhou Ming’s voice was much calmer, like a blade hidden in its sheath.

“You take twenty people from the speed-type group and infiltrate from the west. Your target is the garage.”

“I want to see at least five armored vehicles drive out. Take them to Ah Hu’s position and load the heavy machine guns on top with bullets.”

“Yes, Lei-jie.”

Zhou Ming answered without the slightest hesitation.

“The rest of you, led by Chen Wan and Li Qing, will establish a defensive line centered on the convoy. Clear out any small fry that try to get close and wait to provide support.”

“Understood,” Chen Wan’s voice came through.

“Li Qing, don’t be stingy with your poison mist. I want this area to become our home ground.”

“As you command.”

“Lei-jie, what about you?” Ah Hu couldn’t help but ask.

A smirk played on the corner of Lin Fan’s lips.

Her gaze remained locked on that empty watchtower.

“I’m going to meet the master of this place.”

“Move out.”

Those two cold words signaled the start of this war.

Click.

The doors of dozens of vehicles opened simultaneously.

Two black-clad teams, like two agile vipers, slid silently into the ruins.

The strength-type squad led by Ah Hu moved with wide, powerful motions. They chose a direct, straight path, using brute force to smash through or push aside any abandoned vehicles or broken walls in their way.

A bulldozer composed of twenty small giants carved a savage path through the ruins.

On the other side, Zhou Ming’s speed-type squad had a completely different style.

They were like a group of phantoms darting through the shadows.

Zhou Ming’s figure flickered between various points of cover within a hundred-meter range, giving a precise hand signal each time he reappeared.

The team members behind him used their incredible speed to stay low to the ground, moving almost soundlessly as they crept toward the entrance of the underground garage.

Lin Fan watched quietly from the air.

She watched her army execute her commands like a precision machine, just as she had taught them.

Just then.

At the top of the watchtower, a white figure appeared out of thin air.

Her hair was white as snow, her eyes black as night.

Her face, so exquisite it seemed unreal, was devoid of expression. Her eyes, pure black like black holes, pierced the thousand-meter distance to meet Lin Fan’s in the sky.

She’s here.

Lin Fan’s body slowly descended.

She dropped from a height of fifty meters to thirty.

It was an extremely provocative altitude.

Well within the other’s sensory range, yet still maintaining absolute aerial superiority.

The white-haired queen’s gaze seemed to shift slightly.

She didn’t seem to expect that the woman who had fled so wretchedly before, and who had later snatched her prey from her territory, would dare to reappear in her domain today with such a posture.

“Scree…”

A shriek so sharp it was indescribable issued from the white-haired queen’s mouth.

It wasn’t a sound.

It was a pure psychic shockwave.

The entire military camp instantly came to life.

In the barracks, on the training grounds, inside the sentry posts…

Countless zombies in tattered military uniforms snapped their heads up.

Their hollow, white eyes turned in unison toward Lin Fan in the sky.

“ROAR!”

The roars of several thousand mutated zombies converged into a terrifying wave of sound that threatened to tear the clouds apart.

The ground began to tremble.

A steel-like torrent began to surge.

“Ah Hu, status?”

Lin Fan’s voice, devoid of any fluctuation, sounded in the mental link.

“Reached the equipment depot entrance! There are a dozen or so enhanced sentries. We’re clearing them out now!”

Ah Hu’s panting came through, accompanied by the loud clang of metal being smashed.

“Zhou Ming?”

“Inside the garage! It’s quiet here… searching for the target vehicles!”

Zhou Ming’s voice carried a hint of vigilance.

Lin Fan’s gaze swept over the zombie horde surging below before finally returning to the white-haired queen.

She extended her right hand, fingers spread.

Psychokinesis activated instantly.

On the ground, an abandoned heavy truck began to rise into the air with a grating screech of twisting metal.

Under the gaze of the white-haired queen’s silver pupils, the truck, weighing over ten tons, was kneaded and compressed by an invisible hand.

Finally, it was crushed into a highly irregular black metal sphere less than two meters in diameter.

Boom!

A cluster of black-red flames erupted from Lin Fan’s palm, instantly engulfing the metal sphere.

The temperature of several thousand degrees heated the sphere to a blazing red in seconds, then to a bright yellow, and finally to a blinding white.

A miniature “sun” now hovered above the military camp.

“This is… my welcoming gift.”

Lin Fan’s voice was clearly transmitted to the zombie queen’s ears.

Although she knew the other party probably couldn’t understand.

But that didn’t matter.

This was a declaration.

The white-haired queen finally moved.

She leaped lightly from the top of the watchtower.

Her white skirt blossomed in the air, and she landed silently in the center of the training ground hundreds of meters away, as weightless as a feather.

She raised her head, her pitch-black eyes locked on Lin Fan.

And on the “sun” in Lin Fan’s hand, which radiated an aura of destruction.

Rumble…

The roar of engines came from underground.

Zhou Ming had succeeded.

“Lei-jie! All five armored vehicles are started! Heavy machine guns are fully loaded!”

Zhou Ming’s excited voice rang out in the link.

At almost the same time.

“Lei-jie! We’ve got the equipment from the depot!”

Ah Hu’s voice came through.

The curve of Lin Fan’s lips became more pronounced.

She looked down at the white-haired queen standing in the center of the zombie horde, facing her alone.

“The game…”

Lin Fan gently raised her hand, and the burning metal sun began to glow even more dazzlingly.

“…has begun.”
