Repay a Hundredfold!

When Wu Siliu's words fell, Zhou Changhe and the others stood stunned for a moment before flying into a towering rage.

Zhou Changhe staggered, blood rushing to his head. Veins bulged on his forehead as he pointed a trembling finger at Wu Siliu and let out a hoarse roar, "Good! Good! Good!"

"I will carve you into a thousand pieces to console my late brother's spirit in heaven!"

With that, Zhou Changhe snatched a blade from the attendant beside him and advanced upon Wu Siliu, step by step.

Wu Siliu continued to shout ferocious curses, yet a glint of absolute resolve flashed deep in his eyes.

The venom hidden between his teeth was a peerless toxin refined from hundreds of poisonous substances. A mere drop could kill a herd of cattle or sheep.

Even though his own flesh and blood had turned to jade, he could feel it being slowly corroded and melted away.

This venom was originally meant to torment the Zhou family after the battle, forcing them to suffer the same ultimate agony he endured. Hiding it between his teeth was a final contingency in case he proved no match for the Zhou clan's cultivators, allowing him to launch a desperate surprise attack.

But he never expected the rumors from those rogue cultivators and demonic cultivators to be false. Zhou Ping had never left Baixi Mountain!

Watching Zhou Changhe draw ever closer, with Zhou Ping and Zhou Xuanya standing further back, Wu Siliu seethed with bitter hatred.

Since he was undoubtedly going to die today, he swore to drag at least one or two members of the Zhou family down to the underworld with him.

He caught sight of Zhou Ping out of the corner of his eye. If a Qi Condensation cultivator was doused in this venom, could he still emerge unscathed?

Though Zhou Ping was equally furious, he stood at a distance. The two surges of true essence within his body churned wildly, forming an invisible barrier in midair.

The surrounding mortals noticed nothing, but Zhou Xuanya, as a cultivator, naturally sensed the subtle shift.

He turned his head slightly in confusion. Wu Siliu had already been subdued, so why was his father still burning so much Magic Power?

Zhou Changhe, however, was consumed by rage. Completely stripped of his reason, he frantically hacked at Wu Siliu's mutilated body with his blade. Sparks flew alongside the sharp ring of metal striking stone, sending shattered jade and gravel scattering through the air.

Although Wu Siliu's outer flesh had transformed into jade after becoming a Jade Armor Strongman, it did not mean he lacked all feeling; his sense of pain was merely dulled.

Now, no matter how frantically Zhou Changhe struck him, he swallowed the agony, refusing to utter a single sound.

Jade chips danced in the air. His aura grew increasingly faint, making him seem as weak and lifeless as a dead rock.

Yet, this jade flesh only formed the outermost layer. Under Zhou Changhe's relentless hacking, the blade cleaved countless fissures into the stone, exposing the bloody meat beneath. Blood oozed out endlessly, staining the ruined torso a vibrant crimson, like polished agate!

Zhou Changhe finally exhausted his strength. He rested his hands on his knees, gasping for air, but the fury in his heart had not diminished in the slightest. He barked harshly, "You men! Hack this bastard to pieces! Grind him into powder!"

The servants behind him had never seen Zhou Changhe in such a frenzied state. Though terrified of the monster on the ground, they gripped their blades and stepped forward, repeatedly chopping at Wu Siliu.

"Cousin, let me do it. I also wish to avenge Brother Changxi."

Seeing that the servants' strikes were achieving little, Zhou Xuanya slowly stepped forward, spear in hand.

Wu Siliu lay utterly motionless like a corpse. His remaining three limbs had been entirely severed, and his torso was marred with countless cracks. Bathed in blood, he looked as if he would shatter into pieces at any moment.

But as he sensed Zhou Xuanya's approach, a glimmer of spiritual light flickered in his dead, ashen eyes.

Zhou Changhe was still standing right beside him. Once Zhou Xuanya drew near, at such a close distance, a single spray of venom would ensure neither of them escaped.

Even in death, he would force the Zhou clan to don mourning clothes!

He failed to notice, however, the strange, cold smile on Zhou Ping's face. Not far away, the Patriarch quietly formed a hand seal, and the Spiritual Qi barrier gathered in midair began to slowly descend.

Now!

Squeezing out the very last trace of strength in his body, Wu Siliu violently threw his head back and spewed the venom from his mouth, aiming straight at Zhou Xuanya and Zhou Changhe!

In an instant, countless black droplets erupted outward like a torrential downpour, shooting right toward them.

Zhou Changhe's expression contorted in horror. He tried to retreat, but it was far too late. Crushing remorse flooded his heart-how could he have let hatred so thoroughly blind him? He had forgotten all basic caution and stepped so foolishly close to a desperate enemy.

Now, he had doomed Xuanya and burdened the family.

Though Zhou Xuanya was equally startled, he suddenly sensed the barrier his father had condensed plummeting down from above, quickly settling his racing heart.

The mortal servants, meanwhile, were frightened out of their wits and scrambled backward.

"Heavens, run!"

"Hahaha, come down and be buried alongside your grandpa!"

Wu Siliu roared in maniacal triumph, but then he suddenly froze.

An invisible wall of air now stood firmly between them. All the venom splattered violently against it before slowly dripping to the ground. In an instant, the earth hissed and melted into a pitted, festering mess, radiating a horrific stench.

"Impossible... how did you know?" Wu Siliu muttered, staring blankly at Zhou Ping. His expression was dazed, teetering on the edge of madness.

Zhou Ping completely ignored him, instead turning to admonish Zhou Changhe and the others. "Remember this well. Never abandon your guard."

"Even when victory is utterly assured, you cannot let your guard down. A battle is only truly over when the enemy is thoroughly dead."

Zhou Changhe's heart was still hammering in his chest, reeling from the harrowing brush with death. An overwhelming sense of shame washed over him.

"Uncle, I allowed hatred to cloud my judgment. I acted far too rashly and nearly got my younger brother killed."

Zhou Ping sighed softly. "I worry for Xuanya, yes, but I worry even more for you, Changhe."

"It was not just hatred that clouded your mind. It is your Dao Heart. It has grown restless."

"For years now, you have overseen our affairs. Every steward and servant obeys your every word without question. Your path has been too smooth, so much so that you cast even the most fundamental caution to the wind."

"I allowed this to play out solely to wake you up. Be careful in all things." Zhou Ping spoke with earnest gravity, then shifted his gaze to Zhou Xuanya. "Xuanya, the same applies to you. In fact, you must be even more cautious."

"The cultivation world is rife with deceit, treachery, and unpredictable methods. If you fail to stay vigilant, you will invite disaster."

Zhou Xuanya cupped his hands respectfully. "Your son understands."

Zhou Changhe simply lowered his head in silence, lost in deep contemplation.

The servants, seeing the lethal venom safely blocked, cautiously crept forward once more, staring down at Wu Siliu with lingering terror.

Zhou Ping demanded coldly, "Wu Siliu, tell me how you came to be in this state, and I will grant you a swift death."

Wu Siliu grinned like a maniac. Even with both arms severed, he still managed to thrust his shoulder aggressively toward Zhou Ping.

Only because he had transformed into a Jade Armor Strongman could he still cling to a single breath of life despite suffering such catastrophic wounds.

"You old dog! Kneel down and kowtow twice to your grandpa, and maybe I'll tell you!"

Zhou Changhe and the others immediately glared at him with murderous intent. The servants shared their righteous indignation. Their fates were bound to the Zhou clan; an insult to their master was an insult to them all.

Zhou Ping's gaze remained eerily calm. With a faint, placid smile, he ordered, "Go fetch the Golden Border Earth Centipede. Then, drag him to Chi Peak."

Everyone present immediately guessed his intent, and an involuntary chill ran down their spines.

Before long, an entire crowd gathered before Zhou Changxi's grave. Aside from Zhou Chang'an's family and the crippled Zhou Minghu, Zhou Ping had summoned every remaining member of the clan, young and old alike, including Zhou Zhuo of the third branch.

Zhou Hong stared down at Wu Siliu, who had been unceremoniously dumped into a massive wooden vat. His eyes were intensely bloodshot, and faint traces of bloody tears streaked down his face.

Madam Lin and Mu Lushi wept and wailed, nearly fainting from their sorrow. Zhou Qianling stared up at the unfamiliar tombstone, tears glistening in her young eyes.

As for the other female dependents and children, they stared at the mutilated Wu Siliu with pure horror, their faces completely drained of color. The youngest toddlers trembled like leaves in the wind, desperately burying their faces in their mothers' embraces, terrified to even steal a glance.

Zhou Ping stood solemnly before the grave. "Changxi," he murmured softly. "We have avenged you."

He then slowly turned to face the clan's children. "Lying beneath this earth is one of your uncles. A few years ago, he was murdered by this very villain before you."

"Today, I will butcher this beast right here to honor your clan uncle's spirit."

With a wave of his hand, a servant stepped forward and unsealed a black lacquered box. A densely packed mass of tiny insects immediately swarmed out. Each creature bore a tough carapace outlined with striking golden threads-the infamous Golden Border Earth Centipede.

The swarm of Golden Border Earth Centipedes was poured into the wooden vat. As if catching the scent of an irresistible delicacy, they lunged forward, frantically gnawing at Wu Siliu's flesh. Even the supposedly indestructible jade was mercilessly chewed away by the tiny mandibles!

No matter how much agony Wu Siliu had trained himself to endure, he could not withstand the apocalyptic torment of ten thousand insects devouring him alive.

"Ahhhh!"

An utterly wretched, blood-curdling scream tore through the air, chilling the very marrow of the women and children present. Several of the youngest were so frightened they lost control of their bladders.

"Mother, I'm scared!"

The little ones scrambled backward, pressing their hands tightly over their ears, unwilling to bear witness to the grisly sight.

"Waaah... so scary!"

Zhou Ping coldly watched his descendants tremble in terror before he slowly spoke again. "Years ago, your clan uncle was tortured to death by these villains in the exact same manner."

"Your grand-uncle is merely using their own methods to wash away the blood debt!"

Zhou Chengqian, the eldest among the youths, was pale with fear, yet he kept his eyes stubbornly fixed on the wailing Wu Siliu. "Blood for blood!" he shouted.

Emboldened, Zhou Chengyuan and Zhou Chengyang joined in. "Kill him! Avenge our clan uncle!"

Even Zhou Qianling, usually the most timid of the girls, stubbornly raised her head. Her small hands balled into tight fists, her entire body trembling violently.

The other children, swept up in the fierce emotions of their older siblings, suddenly felt their fear recede. They waved their tiny fists in the air, glaring furiously at the agonizingly screaming Wu Siliu.

"Kill him! Kill him!"

Zhou Ping nodded faintly. Although subjecting children to such a brutal spectacle might leave some lingering shadows in their hearts, it successfully planted an unshakable seed of absolute loyalty to the clan.

"Children, burn this into your memories. The clan will forever be your absolute foundation."

"Should anyone dare humiliate or harm you in the future, your elders will stand behind you-and we will make them repay the debt a hundredfold!"
