Chapter 41: A Regressor?

Somewhere far away from the borders of the Valthoros Empire.

Deep within the lawless territory of the Human Federation, situated in the lower-tier slums of District 07, a child around the age of ten was desperately running away for her dear life.

Cutting through the humid, filthy air behind her posture, a series of angry, horse-like shouts violently echoed off the metal walls.

"Stop right there, you little bitch!" the leading man bellowed.

Four heavily built men were actively chasing the little girl down the winding pathways, their hands tightly gripping a variety of brutal street weapons.

"I will kill you, bitch! Stop running!" they howled and screamed behind her, their heavy boots slamming against the concrete.

The little girl ran with every single shred of stamina left in her small frame, her head actively bleeding from a fresh impact wound as droplets of dark blood hit the dirty ground beneath her feet.
