“Oh, Tomonori. It’s apparently a recipe for meat-and-potato stew.”

“That’s pretty fancy.”

Well, it was written on a scroll. Calling it just a recipe really didn’t fit.

“My business here is done,” Saras said. “I expect Seraphim to improve. See you later.”

She pulled out her phone and walked out of the classroom. I didn’t call after her, just raised a hand in farewell. She raised one in return.

Tomonori darted over to my desk. This girl was energetic no matter the season.

“It’s supposedly a recipe from Hokusai Katsushika himself,” I explained.

“That’s pretty nice. I want a recipe like that too.”

Her eyes sparkled with excitement. Truth be told, if it really was Hokusai’s stew, I definitely wanted to try it once myself.

Too curious to resist, I unrolled the scroll right there. The contents… were completely unreadable. The calligraphy was far too elegant for me to make out.
