It was cold. I felt like I might freeze. A scarf would have been better than a ribbon at my waist.

Around midnight, the three of us flew through the dark night sky in leotards. Our breath fogged white like we were smoking cigarettes. Summer would have been fine, but winter nights were brutal. Well, it probably violated Eu’s aesthetics, so I let it slide.

“Hey, Sera.”

“Yes?”

“Your blue leotard and Eu’s purple one make sense, but why is mine orange? I don’t blend into the night at all.”

“There was no other choice. It fit your character.”

“What do you mean by fit my character?!”

“Aesthetics.”

“Ehehe. Honestly, there was no reason for it.”

“You’re just going to explain everything with aesthetics, huh?”

“All right, we’re here.”

Tomonori’s place was way farther from my house than I expected. They made me parade around in a leotard forever.
