Now, I wanted to make the most of Haruna’s plan—having the Queen come at night, stay over, and then go to the amusement park—so I dragged Sera and Eu to the nearby supermarket to prepare for the desperate task of entertaining her.

Haruna stayed home, handling the prep. I usually pictured her messing things up whenever I left her in charge, but that was a misconception. Most of the time, what she did was basically correct. It was just that her methods and setups were chaotic, and I ended up doing most of the work.

That’s why I trusted Haruna. Without her, I’d probably still be sulking around, accomplishing nothing.

“Listen, today we’re hosting. Don’t do anything weird,” I said.

“Understood,” Sera replied. “I’ll employ the hospitality ninjutsu passed down in my village and—”

“Could you just keep it normal?” I interrupted, letting Sera’s rare joke slide as I
