I headed to the kitchen and searched the fridge, but of course nobody just had beef tongue lying around.

Actually, there was almost nothing in there. If I served ham and eggs for dinner, Haruna would probably beat the shit out of me.

“Hm.”

“Ugh.” Haruna let out a muffled groan, so I hurried back to the living room.

She was sprawled on the floor again.

I lifted her up. “You okay, Haruna? You’re still hurt from earlier and didn’t even show it. You’re so brave!”

If I spelled it out this hard, even the most thick-headed person should get it. We both sneaked a look at Sera’s face.

Completely blank. Like a Noh mask.

Haruna piled it on. “A-Ayumu. Is it… already nighttime?”

“D-Don’t tell me you’ve gone blind!”

What a tragedy. What heartbreak. This was enough to make anyone cry. Eternal darkness was closing in.
