We practiced over and over, again and again.

“Moo.” I charged forward.

“Hup!”

Haruna leapt sideways with an acrobatic flip, forming her barrier into a sword, and struck my neck. I blacked out.

I hadn’t held back on speed. If anything, I’d charged with enough force to send her flying.

But Haruna read my movements perfectly. No matter how many times we repeated it, she never failed.

I expected nothing less. Her ability to learn and adapt was incredible. Even if I changed my attacks slightly, she could produce the same result.

“You’ve completely mastered it.”

“Wonderful.”

Eu clapped. Every time Eu clapped as Haruna struck my neck, it kept her energy high.

Haruna hated effort and struggle. If you didn’t praise her, she wouldn’t keep going.

Sera had gone out shopping. I’d sent her to get ingredients for cutlet curry today, as a good-luck meal. {Note: katsu means
