School ended, and I hurried over to Tomonori’s place.

Normally I waited until the sun went down, but that day I pushed myself and came during dusk.

It had been a while since I walked around searching for patches of shadow.

Tomonori lived in an apartment building. And not just any building. It looked high-end at a glance, way too fancy for a high school girl.

Apparently a bunch of Vampire Ninjas lived there, so it went way beyond simple auto-lock security.

There were landmines buried in the courtyard, and even if you made it through the entrance, tripping an infrared sensor would get your butt stabbed with a bamboo spear. Only a properly trained ninja could break in.
