THE RUS (RUSEIJA)

The Federal Republic of the Rus is known as Ruseija in the Rus language. The lands of the Rus were originally inhabited by thousands of ununified tribes until a Skanner explorer by the name of Rurik landed on its shores and introduced them to civilisation and the concept of a nation. The early growth of the Rus was slow and fractious and is easily summarised as a period of constant war, but as the ages passed, the core lands, which are collectively known as the Yolk, became the centre of transcontinental commerce. The princely states of the Yolk formed what was known as the ‘Crossroads of Empires’, serving as a confluence between the Skanner of the north, the Seriker of the east, the Romer of the south, and the Zhermanner of the west for centuries until the knowledge the Rus had gained from their learning through trade ushered them into unification and an age of imperialism. By the fourth century of the Sixth Era, the Rus had become another hegemon in the world order.
