Chapter 26: "We Grew Together, We Will Grow Together"

.....

The world suddenly looked different... because today, they were bringing their baby girl home.

Abeer stood in the middle of the room, holding three different baby bags in total confusion.

"One second! Where's the baby lotion? I kept it next to the diapers! Reet, did you- wait! Where's her LEFT sock?!"

Reet, sitting on the bed with the tiny bundle in her arms, giggled through her tired eyes.

"Doctor ho na? Panic ka toh license bhi milta hai kya?"

"Main doctor hoon, haan... lekin iski poop schedule kis medical journal mein hoti hai?!"

The baby let out a tiny wail.
"Oh no, not again! She just ate!" Abeer rushed forward, nearly slipping on a pillow. "Okay okay, baby girl, Papa's here. Please don't cry, Papa's trying his best!"

Reet smiled softly. She had never seen Abeer more clueless... or more adorable.

The Visitor Madness

The doorbell kept ringing. Aunties came with sweets Reet couldn't eat.
Neighbours came to "see the baby" but stayed for chai.

Reet's dad got emotional and started telling the baby girl stories of how Reet once broke a tooth while chasing a butterfly.

And then - Preet arrived.
With a toy stethoscope around her neck, she entered like a queen:
"Mini chachi reporting! I'm here to steal this little angel and make her my roommate!"

Abeer stepped in front protectively. "Back off! I just learned how to hold her properly!"

The room burst into laughter.
Later That Evening...

Reet finally sat on the sofa, gently patting their sleeping baby girl. Abeer walked in quietly.

"I want to show you something," he whispered.

"Now?" she blinked, tired but curious.
He nodded. "It's important."

They stepped into the car - Reet resting her head on his shoulder, the baby sleeping in her arms - and drove quietly to a familiar road.

As the car stopped, Reet looked up - and gasped.

In front of her stood a tall, clean building with fresh paint and a glowing nameplate:

"R.A. Wellness Hospital - Dr. Abeer & Dr. Reet"

She stepped out slowly, heart thudding with pride.
He walked beside her, hand on her back, holding the door open.

Doctors were setting things up, nurses arranging beds. Their dream... had come to life.

A nurse spotted them and smiled,
"Doctor sahab, ek patient wait kar rahi hain!"

Abeer turned to Reet, his voice soft:
"We met as strangers. Fell in love. Became doctors. Became parents. And now..."

She looked at him, eyes misty.
"...and now, we have our dream hospital. We've grown together. We'll keep growing."

They stood there as a family of three - hearts full, futures bright - ready for the next chapter of their life.
