Escape 9

The attack struck the group of Master-rank guards before any of them could react.

A brilliant flash of Light Element mana engulfed the entire area.

When the light finally disappeared, none of the Master-rank guards remained. Their bodies had been completely erased by the overwhelming attack, leaving not even their corpses behind.

For a moment, the entire battlefield became strangely quiet.

Ravena's expression changed as she stared at the empty space where the guards had been standing moments ago.

Dominique also froze for a moment, clearly surprised by Steve's sudden decision.

Steve simply lowered his spear slightly and looked toward them with a calm expression.

He had deliberately killed the guards himself before Ravena could continue using their blood to replenish her strength.

Ravena looked at Steve and then said, "You call us demons, but aren't you more of a demon yourself, taking the lives of your own precious kin?"
