Asher looked at Cassie for a moment before answering in his usual playful tone, "They wouldn't, but yeah, I killed them because I needed their blood and their bodies to help recover the demons here. You know, I couldn't really deal with everyone here alone, so I had to kill them."

He paused briefly before continuing, "If I had been strong enough to kill every Master-rank and above expert here without letting anyone know what happened, I would have killed them without even touching anyone else."

Asher shrugged casually.

"But sadly, I was too weak, so I had to make use of their bodies instead."

There was no sadness or regret in his voice as he said it. He spoke about the deaths as if he were simply explaining something completely ordinary.
