AFTERWORD
Hello, this is Yoshino Origuchi.
A whole six months have passed since my last work. I’d like to write with a bit more energy, but my thirties are just on the horizon, and frankly I’ve lost a little steam. Plus, my shoulders and lower back hurt. An occupational illness.
By the way, do you think centaurs get lower back pain?
I suppose the question is where a centaur’s lower back is in the first place… Either way, it seems that the burden on their spine would be lighter than it is on a human’s, so they probably don’t have to worry about lower back pain at all.
What am I even talking about…?
I love arachne.
Or rather, I like spiders—scorpions, too. I also like crustaceans, like crabs and hermit crabs. The ecology of crustaceans is extremely interesting. I also love the huntsman spider because they catch those fast little black pests for me.
I’m not very good with tiny bugs or the black pests, so I think the house spiders that capture those kinds of things are wonderful.
The same is true of Arahnia Taranterra Arachnida, who was introduced in this volume. At first glance, she seems to have a complicated personality and is often misunderstood, but—she might just be an incredible, good person. That just might be the case with her, maybe?
I wonder which is more likely.
Despite being a new character, she was chosen to appear on the limited edition’s wall scroll, so I hope you will enjoy more of the young arachne woman.
I went to a snake café and an owl café with a fellow author friend of mine.
I’ve wanted to own a snake for a while, but no matter what I try, I can’t keep one in my house. So instead, my legs ended up carrying me all the way to a snake café.
It feels very good to touch a snake. They are soft and cool, yet also smooth because of their scales—it’s a sensation that is very difficult to express. However, I can say this much: the feel of a snake is sensual.
In other words, snakes are erotic!
With that, time for my acknowledgments.
To the head editor, Hibiu-san. As always, I was able to continuously enjoy writing this volume thanks to the speed, precision, and excellence of your work. I always get too wrapped up in my passion whenever I start talking about monster girls, but I am truly grateful to you for listening to me without backing away from the conversation.
To Z-ton-san, the illustrator continuing his work from the first volume! Thank you so much for providing another special illustration for the wall scroll! The picture of Tisalia you drew for the cover is unbelievably cute, but I suppose that such is to be expected from such a well-known centaur illustrator.
To Kenkou Cross-sensei for their comments on the obi for volume two—thank you very much! I love Apophis-chan and Kraken-chan from your Monster Girl Encyclopedia. If this keeps up and I receive more such reviews from all of the other many nonhuman illustrators and artists, then surely the “monster doctor,” form of nonhuman light novel will make a name for itself and take the industry by storm, won’t it? Heh heh heh heh…
To all of the monster girl-loving writers who are always going along with me and to all of the monster girl and nonhuman manga authors—starting with Okayado-sensei and Shake-O-sensei—I truly thank you for everything. I don’t think I’ll ever stop talking about monster girls on Twitter with you, but please bear with me.
Thank you to my family for always casually giving me material to use in my stories, thank you to the proofreaders who always sharply point out all my mistakes—however small. And most importantly, to all of you—the readers of this book—I give you my biggest thanks of all.
In the next volume (if it happens)…
Dragons! Glenn’s teacher! And cyclopes! I’m thinking it would be nice for the next volume to have those sorts of things in it.

About the Author, Yoshino Origuchi
I love monster girls—so much so that my writer friends and acquaintances have been calling me the “monster girl expert,” or “Professor Monster” more and more lately. Since the first volume of Monster Girl Doctor, I’ve seriously started considering saying on my business card that I do monster girl research.
A favorite spot of mine is the snake café in Shijuku. I want to go again.
About the Illustrator, Z-ton
My name is Z-ton. I haven’t been to a dentist in over twenty years. When I went in to get an examination as a bit of an experiment, though, they found the beginning of a cavity, which made me think for the first time in a while just how outstanding medicine is. Maybe there is a monster girl dentist in Lindworm, as well…?
