Chapter 515 Divine Core

The treasury of the Torres Empire contains a wealth of materials.

These are all left behind by previous players, and the natives cannot use them except for human players.

Therefore, the Empire will use this as a reward to attract new human players to Torres.

Level 10 vehicle upgrade blueprints, advanced starstones, and heavy external weapon blueprints are relatively rare items. The fact that the Star Shield Army was willing to give them to Lin Hui shows how much they value him.

Lin Hui took a light breath and looked at the blueprints for the "Single-Barrel Turbo Laser Cannon" external weapon.

The information immediately came to mind.

【Name: Single-Barrel Turbo Laser Cannon】

[Type: External Weapon Blueprint]

[Quality: Epic]

[Special Effects: High-frequency pulsed lasers are activated by a turbine-driven energy core, increasing beam concentration by 300% and instantly penetrating the high-temperature ionosphere! Effective kill range exceeds 280 kilometers. Upon impact, a high-temperature plasma explosion occurs, with a core temperature reaching 10000°C, capable of piercing a frigate's shields.]

[Loading Requirements: Vehicle level ≥ 9, requires a medium-level energy system (> 5000 energy units). 1 energy unit = 1 million joules.]

"hiss……"

The moment Lin Hui saw the description, he gasped.

Is it really that powerful?

He looked up at Valerian in surprise, thinking to himself that this was too precious.

The power of this energy weapon far exceeds that of the 800mm Gustav cannon, especially in terms of penetration.

Valerian laughed heartily, "Haha! We Star Shields are never stingy with rewards for true powerhouses. Besides, you helped me expose that traitor Lucius this time; that contribution is more than worthy of this level of reward."

Valery paused for a moment, then glanced at the enormous starry-sky RV behind Lin Hui, a hint of amazement flashing in his eyes:

"This weapon requires a large vehicle, and there are very few compatible vehicle types! Plus, your vehicle has amazing physical defense, which is why it can be used to its full potential. Otherwise, it would be useless if it were blown up by the Mech Eldar Gauss Cannon before it even fired."

"Moreover, a great war is imminent. The Mechanical Eldar's offensive this time will be fierce. There's no point in us hiding our best resources anymore; we must use our best steel where it matters most!"

"I see." Lin Hui nodded slightly, understanding dawning on him.

"Oh, right..." Valerian seemed to remember something and reminded him, "This weapon requires an 'intermediate energy system' to power it. If your vehicle doesn't meet the requirements, I can have those old guys in the armory modify it for you."

Lin Hui smiled slightly, "Thank you for your kindness, Commander Zhan. I happen to have a top-notch expert in equipment on my team, she should be able to handle it."

Previously, in order to accommodate the 130mm electromagnetic railgun, Su Qingqian modified the vehicle's energy system. Although it was only at the basic level, Qingqian's expertise is now at level 5, so modifying it to the intermediate level should not be a problem.

The RV has too many secrets; he couldn't possibly let a stranger in.

Hearing Lin Hui's nonchalant words, Valerian couldn't help but marvel: "Your team is truly full of talent! They can even handle this level of mechanical modification!"

After his exclamation, Valerian suddenly changed the subject, his tone becoming more relaxed:

"Don't worry about killing the Inquisitor anymore. Quinn has been judged to have been misled by heretics; you've done a good deed by killing him! The Inquisition won't bother you anymore!"

Hearing this, Lin Hui was somewhat surprised.

Although he was not afraid of the courtroom, it saved him a lot of trouble.

Valerian explained, "That fool Caron believed the traitor Cassius's words and rashly signed the purge order. In the end, he just wanted to sacrifice Caron to silence us."

At this point, he suddenly sighed:

"Since the great Lord Torres went into seclusion and fell into slumber, the Imperial Court has long since changed beyond recognition."

The so-called law has become a tool to protect the nobility and eliminate dissidents. If it weren't for the arrogance of the noble children and the inaction of the Church, how could the Mechanical Eldar have had any opportunity to exploit?

Upon hearing Valerian mention the Lord of Torris, Lin Hui seized the opportunity to ask his question: "Chapter Leader, when exactly will the Lord of Torris awaken?"

According to the information he had previously gathered, the Lord of Torres, "Orencius," was a demigod.

Logically speaking, if this demigod were to awaken, dealing with the green-skinned orcs and the mechanical spirit race should be no problem at all.

Why was the empire forced into such a precarious state?

Valerian slowly began to speak:

"I also asked Zhan Shuai this question to his face, and his answer was... he didn't know either."

"But in recent years, neither the battle nuns nor our Star Shield warriors have... been able to receive the Lord's blessing anymore!"

Upon hearing this, Lin Hui's pupils contracted slightly.

Unable to receive the blessing? This means there might be something wrong with that demigod!

Valerian seemed unwilling to delve deeper into this heavy topic. He took a deep breath and instead said:

"You are very strong and have unlimited potential. Below the level of high-level psionicists, you are definitely in a class of your own. But... you have not yet reached the 7th rank, and have not crossed the threshold of divinity."

If you encounter a Mech Eldar Lord-level or even higher unit on the battlefield… don’t hesitate, run for your life! Don’t try to challenge insurmountable power with your mortal body!

Lin Hui smiled and nodded, without uttering a word of rebuttal.

After a moment of contemplation, he suddenly spoke up, "Commander, I'd like to ask you something."

"What is it?"

"The Heart of a Machine"

Valerian was taken aback at first, then suddenly realized: "This is the 'Divine Core' you need to break through to the 7th rank?"

"That's right," Lin Hui readily admitted. "I already have the level 7 spirit technique upgrade blueprints, and my proficiency and mental strength have long since met the requirements. Now everything is ready, except for this 'Divine Core'!"

"If the battle group leader has them, or has connections, I'm willing to buy them at a great cost. Or I can exchange them for kill merits!"

Valerian frowned and pondered for a moment, then shook his head apologetically:

"Ironridge City's treasury doesn't contain this material. But don't worry, I'll use the military's encrypted channel to inquire with other city sub-communities. I'll notify you immediately once I have any news!"

"Alright! Thank you very much, Commander."

Valerian was about to say "Don't mention it" when suddenly a message popped up on his wrist communicator!

Valerian glanced at the map, his expression instantly changing. "Oh no! The Eldar have just launched a devastating invasion of four cities near Ironspine City simultaneously! War... has broken out ahead of schedule!"

Before he finished speaking, he soared into the sky and sped toward the highest command room of the northern fortress.
