Captain – Chapter 110 – Don Anderson

“Oh? Coming for me?”

Roy’s curiosity was piqued by Sand Fox’s words, and she no longer pursued his previous concealment.

The captain folded her arms and leaned against the gray-white stone wall of the alley, asking with interest: “Which prominent figure would make you stoop to being an escort?”

Since the conversation had come this far, Sand Fox no longer hid anything. In his heart, he silently justified himself, considering it as making an introduction for his friend.

They were going to meet anyway, so perhaps letting the captain be prepared might make her more receptive.

With this thought, Sand Fox no longer felt any guilt about betraying his friend. He lightly coughed once and said seriously: “Does the captain still remember the identity you used when deceiving that imperial governor?”

Roy thought for a moment and asked: “You mean… the collateral branch young lady of the Andersen family?”

Sand Fox clapped his hands forcefully, then pointed at her: “Yes, exactly that identity. Now the real person has come to find you.”

The real person?

Roy was slightly stunned, then asked incredulously: “There’s actually a collateral branch young lady named Elizabeth in the Andersen family?”

“No, no, no, I’m not referring to any collateral descendant, let alone any young lady. To be precise, he is a true gentleman.”

Seeing that the captain had misunderstood, Sand Fox wagged his finger, then said in a low voice: “Don, his name is… Don Anderson.”

Hearing this, Roy’s eyes widened slightly, as if she was very familiar with this name. She asked hesitantly: “Don Anderson, you’re talking about…”

Sighing lightly, Sand Fox felt a touch of envy for the shockingly great reputation of his friend.

Look, even Captain Roy, who roamed the Eastern Seas, showed a hint of astonishment—what more proof was needed?

Just as Sand Fox was waiting for the young woman to state the noble identity of this Anderson family visitor, and preparing to nod in agreement, he heard two words that nearly turned him to stone.

“Who’s that?”

“You… you haven’t heard of Don?” Sand Fox looked at her with an expression even more bewildered than the captain’s, finding this fact hard to believe.

Captain Roy, who knew many of the Black Raven Society’s secrets, actually didn’t know the famous Don Anderson?

This was as absurd as being able to recite the most obscure provisions of the holy book, yet not knowing the name of the Auran Goddess written on the cover, which even children could recite backward.

“Is he some particularly important figure?”

Roy shook her head, unable to understand Sand Fox’s exaggerated reaction.

She shrugged and continued: “I haven’t had much dealing with the Anderson family and don’t know the celebrities in this family. I only know their merchant ships carry large quantities of arms, making them the best targets for plunder when weapons and ammunition are scarce.”

“Hiss—in your eyes, is a promising partner not more important than several armed ships loaded with weapons?” Sand Fox was nearly going crazy. These pirates’ thought processes were always tied to profit, yet they missed the key point.

Did they only know how to kill, burn, and rob?

“What else?” Roy responded matter-of-factly.

This great merchant, so resourceful and eloquent in business circles, completely lost patience with the captain who had no concept of mutual benefit.

He said helplessly: “Fine, let’s get back to the topic. Although you haven’t heard of Don’s name, you should understand that in such a massive family as the Andersen family, there are many heirs.”

“And Don is the eldest young master of the Anderson family, currently first in the line of succession.”

Now Roy was truly surprised. She asked in confusion: “The eldest young master of the Anderson family? Why isn’t he staying comfortably in Hipalia? What’s he doing coming to Yadris, and specifically looking for me?”

Sand Fox nodded with a complex expression. Even he didn’t fully understand this young master’s thinking. It was only as a friend with whom he had a deep relationship, plus the fact that the young man was also a client of the Black Raven Society, that he was willing to accompany this young master to this chaotic place full of thugs.

“Anyway, with the help of the organization’s agents, I determined your destination after leaving Frans Island, and then, at his request, I brought him to Yadris. As luck would have it, we ran into your recruitment fair.”

Roy hadn’t deliberately concealed her identity when leaving Frans Island, so it wasn’t difficult for the Black Raven Society to know this. Along with possible clients among smugglers and slave owners, it wasn’t too surprising that Sand Fox could determine her exact location.

But this Anderson young master had truly given her a shock.

“According to what you’re saying, this… young master is now in the crowd outside the Banshee’s Eye. Don’t tell me he’s here to apply for a position?”

Even the confident captain felt this question was absurd when she asked it. Why would the first heir of the illustrious Anderson family be interested in her “small workshop,” especially when she was practically destitute now?

Once again surprising the young woman, Sand Fox nodded solemnly, then grabbed the captain’s arms and turned her around: “So hurry back. If Don successfully joins your pirate ship, you’ll be set. You’ll never be short of money again, Captain.”

“Hey, hey, wait, wait, I haven’t finished asking—why would he…”

Pushed forward a few steps by Sand Fox, Roy stopped with a bewildered expression. She certainly knew that the Andersons were wealthy, and this young master even more so, but why he would travel thousands of miles to apply for a position on her ship—the problem was clearly not small.

“When you meet him, everything will become clear. It’s just that…” Sand Fox interrupted the captain’s question, pausing before these particularly tantalizing words.

“Just what?” The captain predictably shifted her attention.

Sand Fox said earnestly: “I’m just afraid that your dear first mate, the former commander who is most feared by the Federation and who most despises that military-industrial family, might have already thrown our Anderson young master out.”

Roy froze for a moment, then quickly nodded: “That makes sense.”

The dark red wooden door of the Banshee’s Eye was pushed open. A black wooden cane inlaid with amethyst tapped the gleaming marble floor, producing crisp, rhythmic sounds.

Under the eager gaze of servants on both sides, a young man dressed in a pure black suit with a snow-white shirt underneath, whose countenance was uniquely striking and carried a faint hint of androgynous grace, stepped through the tavern’s entrance.

From top to bottom, the young man’s attire was of superior quality, all from famous Federation craftsmen. The choices of clothing and accessories had also passed through the eyes of fashion experts, representing the most fashionable combination of the time.

The decorative amethyst ring and the reddish-copper wristwatch engraved with sun patterns on his wrist broke the overly solemn atmosphere of the suit, adding a touch of vitality and energy.

Bowing slightly and politely to the servants and maids, the young man’s face wore a friendly and courteous smile. Those dark golden pupils radiated captivating luster, rippling into everyone’s hearts.

“Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon to you all.”
