Captain – Chapter 92 – Rules No Longer in Effect
Captain – Chapter 92 – Rules No Longer in Effect
“Boss, something doesn’t seem right.”
At a round wooden table not far from the brawl sat a man with a hawk-like nose and a face so gaunt it resembled a ghost. He watched the young woman’s every move with his mottled grayish-black eyes, a cold and vicious smile hanging at the corner of his mouth.
He was the Fighting Squad leader of the Constantine, Bazel Kirk.
Hearing his subordinate’s somewhat heavy words, Bazel glared at him fiercely: “Worthless thing, are you afraid of a woman?”
Fearing women was the most vicious mockery among pirates.
The subordinate’s face slightly reddened, but not daring to contradict the captain’s words, he could only say in a muffled voice: “How could that be possible? It’s just that Benson and the others are too incompetent, actually being taken down by a woman. I’m just worried your plans might fall through.”
Hearing this, the sinister smile on Bazel’s face gradually disappeared. Watching his subordinates fall one after another, howling in misery, his facial muscles twitched a few times: “Such useless trash. Gilbert, take ten more men over there, break that woman’s limbs, and bring her to me.”
They had come to the Banshee’s Eye to celebrate the Constantine’s latest successful plunder. Every crew member had received plenty of silver coins, so at least a quarter of the people in the first-floor tavern were from the Constantine.
Among these nearly hundred people, members of the Fighting Squad accounted for more than half. It was precisely because of this, plus Captain Solomon’s reputation, that the Banshee’s Eye guards dared not interfere with their business.
“What about that man?”
The short man called Gilbert glanced at the young man still sitting calmly in his seat, watching them, and asked in a low voice.
“Man?”

Bazel shook his head, looking at him as if he were an idiot: “Do I look like I’m interested in men?”
“No, of course not,” Gilbert said with a flattering smile.
Bazel nodded with satisfaction and said expressionlessly: “Then be quick and clean… kill him.”
“Won’t Captain Richi be displeased if we kill someone in the Banshee’s Eye?” Gilbert was one of the Fighting Squad’s top fighters and naturally wasn’t afraid of killing, but this was still the Golden-Eyed Devil’s legacy, and they needed to consider the Butcher’s feelings.
“Fool, Captain Richi will only thank us.”
Bazel chuckled strangely, then his tone suddenly deepened: “If you don’t want to do it, I’ll send someone else.”
This was a rare opportunity to please the captain, and Gilbert naturally didn’t want to miss it. He fawningly said a few words, then beckoned to the people beside him: “You lot, come with me.”
“Here they come again. Um, how many?”
Roy shook her slightly reddened hand and gave another kick to a man trying to get up, asking her first mate with her head slightly tilted.
“Eleven, and in this tavern, there are at least eighty more of their people.”
Seeing more people coming, Caine stood up and walked to the captain’s side, estimating a number based on his observations of those giving them hostile glances.

“That’s quite troublesome. After beating down these men’s spirits, we’ll still have to teach those cowardly guards a lesson. But never mind, I’ll consider it a test left for me by Little Cecilia.”
Roy pondered worriedly, then shook her head and put on a nonchalant expression, chuckling lightly.
Seeing that the captain truly intended to take care of this group, Caine’s eye twitched slightly, reminding her: “Captain, counting these ten, they have over ninety people.”
Although the Golden-Eyed Devil indeed possessed fighting skills far beyond ordinary people, to face so many people bare-handed was still wishful thinking.
“Fool, pirates always bully the weak and fear the strong. Once we subdue their leader, the rest will naturally fall in line.”
Roy’s gaze passed over the eleven men and landed on the shadowy man with the hawk nose not far away. She whistled and said with a smile: “It’s a familiar face.”
Feeling the young woman’s contemptuous gaze, staring at those dark golden pupils, Bazel’s pupils contracted slightly. His powerful intuition told him that the young woman was not some gentle lamb, but a dangerous and powerful tiger.
Was it an illusion?
Bazel shook his head imperceptibly, immediately rejecting this thought. The intuition developed from years of walking on knife’s edge would not deceive him.
So after a brief silence, he turned to another subordinate and said: “You, take ten more men over there. If necessary… you can use weapons.”
Knowing his judgment had erred, the Fighting Squad leader immediately made amends. In his view, no matter how difficult the couple was to handle, with more than twenty Fighting Squad members who could use weapons, they should be enough to subdue them.

When I catch you, I’ll definitely teach you what regret means.
Bazel thought sinisterly. No matter what background the young woman had, once she fell into his hands, she could only meet a tragic end.
Because today’s Yadris was the domain of the Blood-Eyed Butcher and the Black Emperor.
The Fighting Squad leader’s reaction was quick, and his remedial measures were forceful. But he never imagined that the trouble he encountered today would be so hard—hard enough that even breaking his teeth wouldn’t be enough to gnaw through it.
Punching the stomach of the man before her, watching Giggs fall clutching his belly, curling up like a dying shrimp, Roy wiped the sweat from her forehead and looked at the remaining eight men with a relaxed expression, smiling: “Still want to fight?”
The squad members looked at the young woman as if she were a monster.
This young woman with delicate features, looking like a pampered young lady from a noble family, had completely transformed when fighting. Gone was all trace of grace and elegance, replaced only by ferocity and power.
In just a few exchanges, most of the twenty-two men who had surrounded them had fallen, even Gilbert, the Fighting Squad’s vice-leader who excelled in close combat, couldn’t last more than a few moves against the young woman.
Such terrifying results made the remaining men consider retreat. Just as the captain had once said, pirates were just ordinary people who bullied the weak and feared the strong, valuing their lives.
If they could survive on land, or if not for greed, who would willingly engage in such a perilous occupation?
“Already scared? How did you even become…”

Seeing the men showing signs of retreat, Roy folded her arms, just about to mock them thoroughly when suddenly from behind came the crisp sound of a sword being drawn, followed by the shrill sound of a blade cutting through the air.
The feeling of danger made the captain’s hair stand on end instantly. She immediately shifted her body, intending to use her shoulder instead of her neck to take this sudden attack that even she hadn’t anticipated.
It wasn’t that Roy’s reaction had slowed, or that the person’s sword strike was too fast for the captain to handle, but rather the trouble caused by stereotypical thinking.
In Roy’s eyes, Yadris remained unchanged, and the rules she had established still had effect.
With this preconceived notion, she really couldn’t imagine someone would dare use weapons. Additionally, the person should have already lost the ability to fight. These two factors combined put her in such a precarious situation.
Fortunately, she wasn’t alone.
Roy couldn’t have anticipated such a turn of events, and neither could the Fighting Squad member struggling to his feet imagine that the young man who had been standing by, showing no signs of fighting intent, would react so swiftly and employ such ruthless methods.
A gleaming rapier thrust into the attacker’s wrist with a “puff” sound, causing such pain that he could no longer hold his curved blade and could only howl miserably while looking at where the silver sword had pierced through.
By this time, Roy had reacted and delivered a powerful kick to his head, sending him flying far until he hit a pillar made of marble. His neck seemed completely broken as his head hung down, and he stopped breathing.
“Well done, First Mate.”
Roy praised the young man, then turned her head back to look at the squad members who had been incited by the bloodshed and were now drawing curved blades from their waists. She sneered: “You actually dare to draw weapons in Yadris. Are you all tired of living?”
