Chapter 3: Tricking and Becoming a Disciple
Chapter 3: Tricking and Becoming a Disciple
Inside the Chongyang Great Hall.
Guo Jing stood in the hall with a righteous and masculine look on his face. Behind him, several white-haired Old Daoists sat on prayer mats, looking at him with satisfaction.
In front of him, a group of people lay on the ground in pain, wailing. Only two remained standing, but their faces were pale and filled with shock.
The clothing and appearance of these two stood in sharp contrast to each other.
One was a Fatty dressed as a Lama, while the other was a young man in luxurious clothes holding a fan.
These two were exactly Huo Du and his senior brother Darba!
Just like the plot, Guo Jing’s appearance led to a conflict with Huo Du and the others, which turned into a fight, but they were subdued by a single palm strike.
“I didn’t expect your Quanzhen Sect to have such a person. Very good, very good!” After leaving those gloomy words, Huo Du led his group and fled in a hurry.
Meanwhile, Guo Jing learned the truth about the conflict from Qiu Chuji and the others. Once the misunderstanding was cleared, and because Guo Jing had saved the Quanzhen Sect, Yang Guo was quickly brought up.
He successfully became the disciple of Zhao Zhijing.
Just as Yang Guo finished becoming a disciple, a Daoist from the Quanzhen Sect ran in panicking, shouting, “Sect Leader, this is bad! Someone else has come to cause trouble at the gate!”
Hearing this, the expressions of Qiu Chuji and the others changed. Huo Du had just been beaten away by Guo Jing, and now someone else came to provoke the Quanzhen Sect. Did they really think the Quanzhen Sect was easy to bully?
Thinking of this, Qiu Chuji’s face filled with anger: “Who is it?”
“He… he said he came to become a disciple. But of all times, why pick this moment? He must know that our Quanzhen Sect was just harmed by villains and came to watch the joke!”
The Daoist left one thing unsaid: that kid looked way too strange; he obviously was not a good person!
“Damn it, could it be that the brat Huo Du sent someone for revenge?” Hearing this, the Quanzhen members’ faces changed, and they became furious.
However, Guo Jing frowned upon hearing this and looked at the disciple, asking, “Becoming a disciple? Is that person named Wei Ziqing?”
“Eh, how does Hero Guo know?” The Quanzhen disciple looked at Guo Jing in confusion. He hadn’t mentioned the name yet, so how did he know?
Hearing that it was Wei Ziqing, Guo Jing laughed and said to Qiu Chuji, “Master, this is a misunderstanding. The person has indeed come to become a disciple!”
After saying that, he told Qiu Chuji about the matter of Wei Ziqing wanting to become a disciple at the foot of the mountain. To remove the vigilance of Qiu Chuji and the others, he spoke well of Wei Ziqing, stating that the man had a good character!
“Since Jing’er thinks this person is good, then let him in!” Qiu Chuji and the others had absolute trust in Guo Jing, so he directly ordered the disciple to bring him in!
At the gate of the Quanzhen Sect, Wei Ziqing looked helpless, raising his hands high in a gesture of pleading for mercy.
He had no choice but to plead, as he looked at the dozens of Quanzhen disciples in front of him, who were holding long swords and looking at him with murderous intent.
He just didn’t understand!
Was the Quanzhen Sect so traumatized by one bite from a snake that they were now afraid of every rope?
He was just a person without the strength to bind a chicken. To treat him with a formation meant for a top expert was far too much of an overkill!
“Now that Wang Chongyang is dead, the Quanzhen Sect has truly declined!” He felt some pity in his heart. If he weren’t after the Nine Yin Manual in the Living Dead Tomb, Wei Ziqing really would not have wanted to come to the Quanzhen Sect!
Fortunately, although this group looked murderous, they didn’t attack immediately. Soon, Wei Ziqing saw a disciple walk over and say something to the leading Daoist, and only then did the group of Daoists put away their swords.
“You are Wei Ziqing, right? Come, the Sect Leader wants to see you!”
“Thank you, senior brother!” Although he looked down on the disciples of the Quanzhen Sect, Wei Ziqing still followed obediently.
There was no other way; everything was for the sake of learning martial arts!
However, he thought to himself that Qiu Chuji seeing him must have something to do with Guo Jing. Otherwise, given their current state, it would have been impossible for him to become a disciple!
Sure enough, just as he thought, as soon as he entered the hall, he saw Guo Jing. However, he quickly shifted his gaze to the leading Old Daoist and the group of elders beside him.
“If I’m not mistaken, this Old Daoist is Qiu Chuji, and the three beside him should be Ma Yu, Tan Chuduan, and Hao Datong!”
Thinking of this, Wei Ziqing quickly said respectfully, “Greetings to the Sect Leader, the Seniors, and Hero Guo.”
“You are Wei Ziqing?” Hearing Wei Ziqing’s words, a hint of satisfaction appeared on the faces of Qiu Chuji and the others. Just as Jing’er said, this kid’s character was indeed good!
“I am indeed Wei Ziqing!”
“You want to join my Quanzhen Sect? Do you know that my Quanzhen Sect is the most orthodox great sect of martial arts in the world and is deeply respected by the people of the Wulin?” Qiu Chuji said, looking at Wei Ziqing.
The most orthodox great sect in the world, deeply respected by the Wulin?
Hearing this, Wei Ziqing sneered inwardly. This fame was basically left behind by Wang Chongyang, and now, it was likely just the lingering influence of Wang Chongyang!
It was impressive that they still had the face to say such things!
Looking at the other disciples who couldn’t help but puff out their chests and act superior upon hearing Qiu Chuji’s words, he felt even more disdain.
“This kid knows! I study martial arts to strengthen my body and act with justice. If I enter Quanzhen, I will surely obey the sect rules and bring glory to the sect!”
Anyone can say sweet words, so Wei Ziqing was not stingy about making himself sound noble.
Qiu Chuji, who originally wanted to ask why Wei Ziqing wanted to learn martial arts, suddenly didn’t know what to say after hearing this, but he became even more satisfied in his heart!
This boy’s character was indeed good!
Although his dressing was a bit strange!
“In that case, from this day forward, you are a disciple of Quanzhen!” After saying that, he turned to a middle-aged Daoist beside him: “Zhijing, you have already taken Yang Guo as your disciple. Let this Wei Ziqing also enter your tutelage today!”
“Yes, Sect Leader!” Zhao Zhijing stepped forward and spoke respectfully. However, no one saw a flicker of disgust flash in Zhao Zhijing’s eyes.
Wei Ziqing saw it, but he could only smile bitterly in his heart!
The main reason he could enter Quanzhen was because of Guo Jing, and Zhao Zhijing had been taught a lesson by Guo Jing at the foot of the mountain, which was why he harbored Resentment toward Yang Guo.
And now, simply because of Guo Jing’s help, he too had become an object of Zhao Zhijing’s Resentment. How pitiful!
“Forget it. Anyway, I won’t stay in Quanzhen for long. It’s fine as long as he doesn’t provoke me. If Zhao Zhijing really goes too far, then don’t blame me for being unkind!” He thought coldly, but his face showed no emotion.
Guo Jing left, leaving behind a reluctant Yang Guo. After seeing Guo Jing off, he and Yang Guo were taken to a guest room.
However, something unexpected happened. This time, because of his appearance, Yang Guo was no longer in a room with Lu Qingdu, but was instead with him!
“Could it be that the plot has changed because of my appearance?” But soon, Wei Ziqing stopped thinking about it. As long as he got the Nine Yin Manual, he would leave Quanzhen.
After that, he would go outside Xiangyang City to get the sword technique of the Black Iron Heavy Sword. No matter how the plot changed, he didn’t care!
