Chapter 64: Wei Ziqing’s Purpose

The wind blew across Wei Ziqing’s cheeks, carrying a wave of intense heat.

He looked around and saw a vast expanse of yellow sand. The soft grains of sand beneath his feet felt scorching hot, letting Wei Ziqing know that he was truly not dreaming.

“I was brought straight to a desert as soon as I arrived. Do they want me to die in this desert?”

The corners of Wei Ziqing’s mouth twitched slightly. The world of the Anywhere Door always brought him directly to where the plot was developing, but this time, it actually brought him to a desert region.

Could it be that the plot of this world unfolded here in the desert?

He lowered his head and thought hard for a while, but Wei Ziqing could not think of any world that started in a desert, except for Dragon Gate Inn!

Was this really Dragon Gate Inn?

“Forget it, I’ll stop thinking about it and just look around. Since I came to this place, there must be people nearby who are connected to this world. Once I find them, I will know what is going on!”

However, before the joy could fully show on his face, his eyes suddenly narrowed. He discovered that these were not ordinary cars. There was actually a machine gun on the roof of the vehicles, and the trucks were filled with men who looked like mercenaries from the real world!

“This…” Mercenaries and hot weapons. Had he accidentally entered a den of thieves?

However, Wei Ziqing was not afraid.

Having reached the Innate Realm, he had experienced a great improvement. Although he could not outrun bullets, he possessed the long-range ability to release Sword Qi. He was absolutely confident that he could kill the opponents before they could fire their guns!

What was Stark Industries? Wei Ziqing swore that not only he, but anyone who enjoyed Hollywood blockbusters would know that it was Tony’s family company!

The famous Iron Man!

“I… I have come to the world of Iron Man. Then this place… and these people in front of me…” As if remembering something, Wei Ziqing suddenly looked up. Sure enough, through the gaps between the men, he clearly saw a middle-aged man covered in blood thrown onto one of the trucks!

Tony Stark!

“As expected, Tony was captured. Then these are the terrorists in Afghanistan who colluded with Obadiah Stane, who was a friend of Tony’s father, Howard!”

In the world of “Iron Man 1”, Tony went to Afghanistan to demonstrate the latest Jericho Missile, but he was betrayed by his father’s friend, Obadiah Stane, who was also from Stark Industries.

To seize control of all of Stark Industries, Obadiah wanted to get rid of Tony and had him captured by a terrorist group in Afghanistan!

This army also wanted to obtain the latest weapon invented by Tony: the Jericho Missile.

However, they did not kill him. Instead, they threatened him, demanding that Stark help them build the Jericho Missile.

Ultimately, Tony used a pile of materials to create the Mark I Iron Man Armor, which led to the birth of the character Iron Man.

“Indeed, he is a fool!” Seeing Wei Ziqing still standing dazed in place, a cold smile flashed across the terrorist’s face. He shouted to the mercenaries beside him, “Kill him. Hurry up and take Tony Stark back, otherwise, he will die!”

Thinking of this, the leader felt a surge of annoyance. His group of men were all damn useless. They had actually thrown a bomb toward Tony, causing him to be hit and putting his life in critical danger.

One must realize that Tony Stark was their savior. Whether they could obtain the Jericho Missile depended on him. If he died here, it would be a disaster.

Hearing that they were preparing to spray him with bullets, Wei Ziqing’s expression changed. He quickly reacted, realizing that now was not the time to be daydreaming. He immediately raised his hands in surrender and shouted loudly.

“Don’t… don’t kill me! I am a doctor, I can save people!”

Hearing this, the chubby leader’s expression changed instantly. He quickly stopped his subordinates who were about to fire and looked Wei Ziqing up and down, asking solemnly, “Are you really a doctor? You can save people?”

“Yes, I have studied medicine, I can save people!”

Wei Ziqing nodded. He did indeed know medical skills, but they were very basic. However, performing some small surgeries was not a problem.

As for why he said this, it was simply because Wei Ziqing wanted them to take him along to save Tony. He believed they would take him because Tony held too important a position in their hearts!

Looking at the bloody wound on Tony’s chest, Wei Ziqing knew that it was caused by a bomb. Right now, there were definitely countless iron fragments inside his body.

He immediately tapped a few points on Tony’s body, using acupoint techniques to help stop the bleeding. Facing Wei Ziqing’s strange acupoint methods, the mercenaries were naturally suspicious. However, after Wei Ziqing pretended to be scared and explained that this was a type of medical skill, the group stopped asking questions.

The journey was incredibly quiet. While the mercenaries were taking Tony and Wei Ziqing toward the base, Wei Ziqing fell into deep thought.

He was thinking about how to get close to Tony!

He wanted to obtain something from him! Or rather, a System!

The advanced artificial intelligence, J.A.R.V.I.S.!

The Iron Man Armor was not very useful to him because he didn’t like the feeling of being trapped inside it. However, the artificial intelligence, J.A.R.V.I.S., was something he was determined to get!
