THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking such an interest in Akira’s tale that you chose to pick up this book and see where his travels took him after Volume 1. Once again, my name is Matsuri Akai, and I am the author of the Assassin series.

As I was reviewing the content of Volume 2 prior to publication, the thing that struck me most was how little interaction there is between Akira and Amelia in these chapters. I mean, they only have a few one-on-one scenes together throughout the entire book! I suppose that’s to be expected, given the fact that she gets kidnapped, and the spotlight is more on Night’s and Crow’s respective backstories this time around anyway, but I still feel bad for anyone who was looking forward to more flirty fun between our two main characters.

So the demons have finally joined the fray, and the stakes are starting to ramp up for our little band of heroes. Some of you are probably starting to wonder by now what the point of giving the main character all these cool assassin abilities was if he wasn’t even going to assassinate anybody with them, and, well…all I can say to those people is that I hope you’ll look forward to Volume 3. It might just change things up a bit. No promises, though.

Lastly, I’d just like to take this opportunity to once again thank everyone who had a hand in this book’s publication and turning it from a simple story in my head to the tangible volume you now hold in your hands.
