Chapter 213: Celebration

Chapter 213: Celebration

While the people of Lava City were singing and dancing because a certain bringer of misfortune had left, there was also a celebration in Northland City.

Pachu and the others, to prevent complications, prepared to complete the oath of allegiance to Danny first. Those participating in this ceremony were not only the White-robed Ones, but also local Wizards like Earl.

The White-robed Ones were doing it to gain knowledge and power , while Earl and the others were doing it to secure their existing privileges and interests.

Local Wizards like Earl had too many ties here; they had to think about their families and friends. They acknowledged and wished to swear allegiance to Bran, but they hadn’t received a positive response. This made them somewhat hesitant in their actions; they urgently needed a legitimate status.

The oath ceremony of the White-robed Ones gave them hope. Since they couldn’t gain recognition in the traditional way, what about trying as Wizards?

Danny, with an attitude of “looking after one sheep or two sheep makes little difference,” responded to Earl’s request.

Under the direction of Pachu, Earl, and others, the Arena in Northland City was quickly and efficiently renovated and modified. Although the final result was somewhat unsatisfactory, they managed to complete the work within a short time as planned.

To get things settled before Bran returned, these Wizards, Pachu and Earl, were truly united.

The main stand of the Arena was right next to a huge passageway, which was specifically built for the Ancient Tree. On the day of the ceremony, the massive body of the Ancient Tree blocked that passage, its canopy completely covering the sky above the main stand. He would represent Wizard Bran, Huahua, and himself in accepting the Wizards’ oaths of allegiance.

Originally, it had nothing to do with him. But as Bran’s most important family member, how could he be absent? So when he heard that Pachu, Earl, and the others had not reserved a seat for him in the Arena, he immediately flew into a rage.

This was also the first time the Ancient Tree truly acted against outsiders. The Mana of the entire city swirled wildly, completely confining the Wizards’ Mana within their bodies. Everyone once again heard the whisper that made the whole city tremble: “In my home, you dare to exclude me?”

The Ancient Tree finally bared his fangs before others. He was Bran’s closest companion, staying day and night with Bran and Huahua in Northland City. They opened their hearts to each other, learned from each other, and their Mana had long since merged and intertwined, each carrying some characteristics of the other.

Many of Bran’s methods, though he was not very proficient, he could also use. Most importantly, the Mana gathered by this city was intrinsically linked to him, even a part of him. In his eyes, people like Pachu were nothing but harmless parasites living on him.

Now these parasites dared to overlook his existence?

Only then did Pachu and the others realize why Bran could leave with peace of mind. The Ancient Tree’s usual behavior had made them underestimate him. The Ancient Tree usually did nothing but swing his big hammer, never showing any other means of attack, which led the White-robed Ones to think he only had Mana. Now, they had to pay the price for their ignorance.

Danny silently watched the Ancient Tree display his power and watched Pachu, Earl, and others nervously revise their plans. She couldn’t help feeling amused; these people had been getting a bit carried away lately. She believed that after this incident, no one would dare to overlook even a single blade of grass or tree in the City Manor.

So, not only did everyone from the City Manor attend the ceremony on the podium, even the companions of the Northlanders, like the White Wolves and Snow Falcons, sat properly behind their masters.

The oath ceremony was rather unremarkable. The only highlight was that two local Little Wizards, Peter and Polly, also mixed into the crowd swearing allegiance.

After completing the ceremony step by step, Pachu and the others finally let out a long sigh of relief. From the moment the ceremony was completed, they were Bran’s direct followers. Once this relationship was clarified, many things became legitimate and proper.

From today on, they had a clear faction. Having a faction made it easier to distinguish closeness and distance. In critical moments, it would be easier to choose sides.

Even the White-robed Ones felt a greater sense of closeness when they looked at each other.

…

After the ceremony, these White-robed Ones, Pachu and the others, immediately began to busy themselves without pause. Many things were not just formalities; they required action.

Now the White-robed Ones clearly felt they were short-handed. They not only had to continue building their headquarters in Northland City but also recruit people to develop their own fiefdoms.

The most important thing was family. They needed to safely bring their families here. This World was not very peaceful. When you have strong force for protection, you see people’s hospitality. If you lose that protective force, you will experience the darkest side of this World.

Pachu had a headache over this. In the end, he had to ask Danny for help.

Zack was therefore dispatched. He, along with two clansmen, several White Wolves, two Snow Falcons, and local Knights from Northland City, prepared to set out, accompanied by a White Robe.

At the farewell, Danny only said one sentence: “Don’t disgrace Bran!”

Zack thumped his chest and grinned. “I’ll let the World see that the Northlands not only have the most powerful Wizards but also the most powerful Warriors.”

Mary walked over and hugged him. “Don’t brag. If you can’t win, run! We’ll deal with them later.”

This made the face of the White Robe also there to see them off darken. Given the Northlanders’ temperament, they really might do such a thing. They would fight desperately for their clansmen, but they probably wouldn’t put as much heart into it for others. So the accompanying White Robe increased from one to two.

Pachu still didn’t feel confident. He once again instructed the accompanying White Robes: “Fly the banner of the Great Wizard!”
