Chapter 324: Treasure Vault

Chapter 324: Treasure Vault

While Bran and Danny were chatting, beneath their feet, Dia and the others were wandering in the Treasure Vault. Even though they had heard rumors about the Treasure Vault before, they were still shocked when they saw it for real.

The Treasure Vault had undergone a dramatic change. Zoya, who accompanied them, explained, “The Treasure Vault stretches all the way to the Eastern District, where our clan lives. Bran has rebuilt this place into a Labyrinth. If you get lost, you can ask the Dark Elves living here for help.

Below the Treasure Vault, there is a huge chasm, which also serves as our emergency shelter. Bran built a spiral passageway in the center leading down there.

Previously, we sorted out those jewelry and ornaments and placed them scattered throughout the Labyrinth. But Bran still occasionally tosses small things down here, so ornaments can still be seen everywhere.”

At this point, Zoya smiled, “If you want to pick out ornaments, the ones casually dropped on the ground are the newest and best.

However, the absolute best ones are probably already taken by the Dark Elves in advance. We usually call those the Fairy’s treasure. If you can gain their approval, or be led by Bran, you might be lucky enough to catch a glimpse.”

Hearing this, everyone’s eyes lit up. Dia couldn’t help but ask first, “The best ones, are they very beautiful?”

“It’s related to Mana; their appearance isn’t that different. According to the Dark Elves, those are alive. Like Bran’s blade, they can gradually develop a spirit, with the hope of becoming a living being.”

Lia chimed in from the side, “Bran used to never be without his blade, but now he doesn’t carry any weapons at all. By the way, where did he hide ‘Fragility’?”

“In his recent fights with outsiders, many things became a burden, so he simply stopped carrying any weapons or equipment. Then ‘Fragility’ ran here and hid itself.”

Dia found it hard to believe, “How could that be? Lily still uses weapons and always keeps a blade with her.”

“Abilities are different. Bran now sees himself as a weapon. When you go up later, ask him to demonstrate and you’ll understand.”

Lia, however, grew greedy at this moment, “If we find it, can we take it away?”

Zoya laughed upon hearing this, “That depends on its will. It is now a true living being, with its own mind. Moreover, it can’t really be called a blade anymore; it has inherited some of Bran’s traits. Although most of the time it still prefers to appear as a Short Blade, it can actually gather and disperse without form.”

Seeing the doubtful looks from the people around her, Zoya continued, “Before, I was traveling outside for a while. Bran was worried about my safety, so he sent it to accompany and protect me. After I returned, Bran drew it into his body, saying it was being tempered in the Torrent. When it emerged again, it became what it is now.”

“Have you seen it recently?”

“Yes, sometimes it goes out to find Danny.”

“Bran is really heartless. How could he do that?”

“Bran explained that the aura of its kind is strongest here. It came here to find some playmates. He also said ‘Fragility’ never really left his side.

Even though we are all Wizards, it’s hard for us to understand each other. So many of his words often confuse me too.”

“By the way, has he been acting strange lately? Lily is very worried about him, that’s why she sent us to check on him.”

Zoya thought carefully, “He went out to fight a few battles, and didn’t lose any of them. After that, he has been staying quietly in Northland City. His usual words and actions haven’t changed; I can’t see anything else. Has Lily noticed something wrong?”

“We’re not sure either. Lily said he was too noisy, but here you say he’s been staying quietly. Never mind, as long as he’s fine. Actually, we miss him too, so we came to see him. Also, to have him adjust our weapons and armor; many of our old things don’t feel quite right anymore.

We heard you’ve had contact with outsiders, so we wanted to find a chance to spar with them.”

“Bran won’t allow it. He said the Continent is reviving, and in this process, all of us will benefit. Some effects have already started to spread, they just need some time to settle.

Have you seen the White Wolves and Snow Falcons in the city? Bran said we are the same; now we just need to wait patiently. If you have time, you can quiet your mind and listen to the voice of the earth. That’s Bran’s suggestion to the clansmen in the city. If you can establish a connection with the earth beneath your feet, your strength will surely advance by leaps and bounds.”

“Really?”

“Yes. Bran once went to Anya’s Royal Capital, Lava City. He said a strange aura was seeping out from the volcano there, which is the source of the Hell Knights’ power. Actually, we Northlanders can also benefit from this power.

Just two days ago, Bran said he felt a similar aura surging in the Depths of the Earth. But you were still on the road then, so you didn’t see his message. He also said every Great Wizard born here can sense this power, and similar news will soon spread across the Northlands.

Now, we should follow the opportunity of the revival and seize every chance. As long as the revival process of this land is not interrupted, similar opportunities will keep emerging. It’s not just the Northlanders who will welcome these; all life on this Continent has the same opportunity.

So, leave the fighting matters to us for now.”

Hearing this last sentence, Dia and the others looked at Zoya seriously, finally accepting her in their hearts.

They chatted while searching, starting to pick and choose from the ground as Zoya instructed. From deep within the Treasure Vault, occasional faint rolling sounds could be heard. Zoya said that was Bran casually discarding ornaments.

In the surrounding Shadows, several Dark Elves were hiding, curiously eavesdropping on the conversation.

The Dark Elves liked Bran but were very averse to Lily. Because they were too picky about Mana, they didn’t like the scent of light. And after spending so much time with Lily, Dia and the others also carried a trace of that light.

This displeased the Dark Elves greatly. So, after wandering in the Treasure Vault for a long time, Dia and the others did not receive an invitation from the Fairies. Filled with regret, they left the Treasure Vault.
