Bifang was taken aback by the retort.

What was wrong with this kid? Did he truly believe that bringing news spared him from execution? There had to be a limit to courting death!

“Kid, what did you say? How dare you address me like that?”

Bifang wanted to lash out, but Qin Xiao was a Great Emperor now, useful strength for the Immortal Realm. Before, it would simply have killed him.

“Little Fang, I forgot to tell you. If anyone is going to lead the Immortal Realm now, it should be me. I came to work with you, but it sounds as though you want my place. We’ll have to settle that.”

Without a trace of politeness, Qin Xiao produced the Chaos Yin-Yang Mirror and leveled it at Bifang.

“Do you think my cultivation has fallen after all these years sealed away? Even without the Restriction in your mind, I could kill you like an ant. Your mirror might wound me, but you would die. Kneel and beg. You’ve worked hard to reach this realm; I may spare you for that.”

Bifang soared into the air, black flames surging wildly across its form as it prepared to strike at a moment’s notice.
