Xiao Yuanchen did not press him. He had only meant to ask; a refusal was hardly unexpected.

“Of course I will be there. Thank you, Your Highness.”

Qin Xiao hurriedly replied in a polite tone.

Originally, he had worried that Xiao Yuanchen would be angry. Unexpectedly, it was brushed aside with just that one sentence. Qin Xiao breathed a sigh of relief.

“There are still three days. If you change your mind at any point, you can come find me. There’s nothing else for now. You may return first.”

Seeing that he couldn’t get a clear answer from Qin Xiao, Xiao Yuanchen let him leave.

“Thank you, Your Highness. I will give it some thought. I shall take my leave, then.”

Qin Xiao rose, thanked him, and left the Moon-viewing Pavilion.
