After searching thoroughly, the old village chief realized he truly couldn’t find anything on Qin Xiao. Not even a trace. The discovery left him baffled.

He had clearly seen this boy pull out Immortal Stones from his robes earlier. How could there be nothing now?

“He may have left his Storage Ring outside the formation. But that armor is valuable. I’ll take it off. Two of you carry him to the Demon God; the rest go outside and search.”

The old village chief reached for Qin Xiao’s armor as he issued his orders.

“That’s it? And here I thought there’d be some great secret.”

As the chief tried to remove his armor, Qin Xiao seized him and sealed his meridians.

Qin Xiao’s sudden awakening stunned them. For a moment, no one knew what to do. They felt as though they had been caught red-handed.

Qin Xiao paid them no mind. After capturing the chief, he struck swiftly and injured all the others.

With his Earth Immortal cultivation, dealing with such a rabble was child’s play.

In just a few breaths, bodies lay strewn across the ground, their fates uncertain. Only the village chief remained upright, his Meridians sealed, his face ashen.

Disaster. Utter disaster. We’ve provoked someone we had no business provoking. He clearly knew about the soul-scattering incense and came prepared. I never should have trusted those greedy youngsters. I should have just let him go. At worst, we could have moved the village.
