Chapter 690: Transaction Completed, Paid with Immortal Dew

After a back-and-forth tussle, Qin Xiao still won in the end. After all, the initiative remained in his hands; he had no pressing need for these items, and losing out on them wouldn’t hurt him. The Minotaur race, however, was eager to cash out and naturally had to bear the loss.

Soon enough, the Minotaur High Priest gave a casual wave of his hand, causing a chaotic pile of miscellaneous items to appear on the ground. These were the spoils stripped from the fallen Immortals.

There were Immortal Weapons and Immortal Armor, techniques, treasures, and assorted other things. But no Immortal Pills, medicines, or fruits. The Minotaurs had also kept the Immortal Stones and Immortal Dew.

Because those were items they could consume directly, they naturally refused to sell them, leaving only things they had no use for on the chopping block.

“You lot really know how to do business, keeping all the good stuff for yourselves and leaving me with a pile of junk.”

Qin Xiao stared at the heap on the ground, utterly speechless.

His original intention was to take the lot, in which case a fifty percent markdown would have been fine, but the Minotaurs turned out to be far shrewder than he expected.

“You have it wrong there. What do you mean we kept all the good stuff? Those are resources we can actually use. Sell them to you at half price and then buy them back from you at full price? Isn’t that pure foolishness?”

The Minotaur High Priest flatly rejected Qin Xiao’s assertion.
