“I spoke with the other High Priests. They think we should make some allowances for a trading partner. We will grant this request. Do not take it as a precedent.”

The High Priest spoke in a cold voice.

If not for his clan facing such a difficult plight and desperately needing stability, he would never have agreed.

“Many thanks to all the High Priests, then. Actually, I am a man who repays kindness when it is shown. Since you have accommodated me, I will naturally accommodate you in the future. Cooperation benefits us all, after all.”

With the High Priest giving way, Qin Xiao lowered his tone again. Let it feel superior for a moment; that would soothe its pride.

“Although we have agreed, every person sent through must be proven to be a true ascendant, and their cultivation must not exceed the True Immortal realm.”

The High Priest laid down a few conditions.

Ascenders were usually Human Immortals or Demon Immortals. Even exceptionally gifted ones reached only the True Immortal Realm, never beyond it. Those at that realm or below could do little in Minotaur territory.

“You need not worry, High Priest. Everyone I send out this way will be an ascender. Others would not need this arrangement. If someone joins the Seven Stars Tower, they are one of our own, and we take responsibility for them.”

Qin Xiao readily agreed to these conditions, as he had no intention of causing trouble in the first place. The Minotaurs knew these ascendants could pose no real threat and were merely trying to extort a few Immortal Stones, but Qin Xiao had stubbornly refused to budge, leading to the deadlock.
