Yun Man stopped cultivating and absently touched the corner of her eye. It was damp.

“Just now, I seemed to enter a mysterious state. It felt like I saw Master. Is he in danger?”

Yun Man had not actually entered Qin Xiao’s illusion. She did not know what had happened to her; she only had a feeling.

“Master, are you alright?”

Even so, Yun Man used her consciousness to send a quiet inquiry to Qin Xiao.

“Ah, disciple, your Master is a bit busy right now. I’ll talk to you later.”

Qin Xiao had already woken up and was lying motionless in the grasp of a Blood Demon squad leader. Receiving Yun Man’s voice transmission out of nowhere, he could only tell her to wait because he had his hands full.

At this moment, Qin Xiao did not dare to make any conspicuous moves. He needed to figure out a reliable way to get away.

The Blood Demon Leader was formidable, and an even more terrifying Charm Demon lurked nearby. If he acted recklessly now, he would likely walk right back into a trap.

Qin Xiao had two ways to escape. The first was to run when they were not paying attention—the most direct option.

The second method was to alert his subordinates through consciousness, having them pass word to South Emperor Mountain and the Vermilion Bird Clan so that those high-level experts could come rescue him.

After a brief moment of thought, however, Qin Xiao dismissed the second idea.
