Chapter 956: Securing the Immortal Armor and Preparing to Bolt

As the four-hundred-billion bid echoed through the hall, the entire venue fell silent.

Who on earth was this bold? Someone had just called out three hundred billion, and another person had nudged it to three hundred and ten billion, yet this person had immediately leaped straight to four hundred billion. Was this extreme extravagance, or were they just a shill bidder planted by the house?

Yin Zhuo was equally dumbfounded. Why did this turn out entirely contrary to his predictions? Was this fellow actually acting as a shill for the first time?

“Someone has already raised the bid to four hundred billion. Is there any other offer? If not, this Immortal Armor belongs to this honored guest.”

Noticing the strange atmosphere, the young woman on the stage quickly offered a reminder.

In truth, she was just as puzzled. A shill had indeed been arranged, but the instructions given by the auction house were only to push the price up to three hundred billion. How had it suddenly jumped to four hundred billion?

Ao Tianrui felt a prickle of anxiety. Master, this didn’t match what you said at all.

“What do you mean, what do we do? Your master has his own ways.”

Naturally unwilling to lose face, Yin Zhuo maintained a mask of absolute confidence.

“Four hundred and ten billion.”

After answering his disciple, Yin Zhuo made his first bid.

His objective was simple: by seeing how the other party responded, he would immediately know whether they were a shill.

If it was a shill, he would simply drop out and let them get stuck holding the item. If it wasn’t a shill, he would genuinely compete for it.
