As the fire came at him, Qin Xiao put up an Immortal Qi Shield. It was his first encounter with this attack, and he did not want to be careless.

Perhaps his defense was too casual, because the shield shattered instantly, and the ferocious flames struck his body directly.

Fortunately, he wore the Top Eighth-Grade Immortal Armor bought at the Immortal Emperor City auction. His outer clothes burned away, but the inner armor was unharmed.

It was a good thing he had prepared ahead of time, or he would have ended up stark naked once again.

His trousers fared slightly better, left ragged and scorched rather than completely destroyed. Since the Heavenly Fire cascaded downward from above, the vast majority of its destructive force was absorbed by his upper body.

From this initial blow, Qin Xiao gauged the true power of the flames and confirmed his physical body could handle them without risking instant death.

Then, to the utter bewilderment of the onlookers, Qin Xiao unfastened his inner armor and wrapped it tightly around his waist.

“What is he doing? He only blocked that first wave of fire because of the armor, so why take it off voluntarily?”

“What’s with wrapping it around his waist? Is his waist his weak point?”

“He is covering his backside! That must be his weak point.”

“Not quite. It looks like his backside, but we men all know he is protecting his little brother.”

The spectators murmured among themselves, entirely baffled by Qin Xiao’s bizarre maneuvers.
