Chapter 246: Beating the Wife While Drunk

Meng Qiaofei, panting and exasperated, said, "Xu Feifan, you're drunk. Just stay put. I have to take care of something, so I'm leaving."

"Stop!"

Xu Feifan shot to his feet and staggered over to Meng Qiaofei, grabbing her arm. "Where do you think you're going? Your husband's drunk, and instead of staying here to take care of me, you're running out this late at night?"

"I'm going to the bathhouse to look over the books. Let go!"

Meng Qiaofei struggled to break free, but Xu Feifan was much stronger than her. His grip made her wrist ache with pain.

"Look over the books?"

Xu Feifan sneered, the reek of alcohol on his breath spraying in her face. "More like you're going to meet some other man, right? We've been married all these years and you still haven't gotten pregnant. Now you're running out all the time. Are you seeing someone behind my back?"

"I bet you had too many abortions in the past, and that's why you can't get pregnant now. You slut!"
