YOU AWAKEN AS THE WORLD defrosts into a brand new season. The stopped clock begins to tick once more. At first, the solitude frightens you to tears and sends you into deep despair—you might even wish you could have stayed asleep. But no, everything happens for a reason. My love runs in your veins. And if ever you were loved, then you can’t possibly be alone.

If you start singing with that soft little voice, the washed-out world around you will surely regain its color. A new flower will adorn your hair, and your cheeks will turn rosy pink. With the sweet scent wafting all around you, you’ll step down onto the fresh green earth and leave your cold bed behind.

Truth be told, be it fate or be it a cursed connection, I wanted to stay by your side—to take you by the hand, tell you it’ll be okay, and pull you into a reassuring hug. I wanted to share the scarlet fruit with you and keep your little heart beating. But we have a choice to make. At any given moment, we must choose the one single destiny we feel is best at the time. So let’s just promise that no matter what happens, we won’t regret it—a pinky promise to never cry over spilt milk. See? The cherry blossoms are in full bloom now, watching over you. Do not fear their gentle eyes.

No matter how alone you feel right now, you must open the door and move on. Someday you will reunite…and someday you will learn to love again.
