Chapter 62: Chapter 62: Mana and Fists

The big man smiled.

A wide, ugly smile. His teeth were yellow. His breath smelled like old meat.

"So," he said. "You have the same talent as me, huh? You can teleport? Or is it something else?"

Daniel didn’t answer. He just stared at the man. His hand was still wrapped around the man’s fist. His grip was tight.

The man laughed. "It doesn’t matter. You’re still weak. I can feel it."

Daniel pulled back his free hand. He punched the man in the stomach.

The impact echoed through the dining hall. Dust fell from the ceiling. The floor cracked beneath the man’s feet.

But the man didn’t fall. He didn’t even flinch.

He just smiled wider.

"That tickled," he said.

Daniel’s eyes widened.

The man leaned in. His voice was a whisper.

"If you want to hurt me, you should try adding mana. Otherwise, it’s not going to do shit against me."

Daniel blinked. Mana. He could channel mana into his fists. Like Paul had taught Lyra. Like the stage two warrior had done.

He focused. He tried to pull the mana from his core. To direct it to his hands.

But he was too slow.

The man’s fist slammed into Daniel’s stomach. Mana crackled around his knuckles. The impact was devastating. Daniel flew backward. He crashed through a table. He hit the wall. The stone cracked.

Before he could fall, the man teleported. He appeared above Daniel. His fist was already moving. It connected with Daniel’s face. Daniel’s head snapped to the side.

The man teleported again. Another punch. Another hit. Another teleport.

"Female feelings," the man said, punctuating each word with a blow. "Are. Precious. You. Must. Protect. Them."

Daniel crashed to the floor. His body was broken. His face was bloody. He groaned.

The man stood over him. His chest was heaving. His fists were still clenched.

"Had enough?" he asked.

Daniel pushed himself up. His arms were shaking. His legs were weak. But he stood.

He looked at the man. At his smug face. At his arrogant posture.

"You have to apologize," Daniel said. His voice was hoarse. "To Lyra. To Fluffy. Or I will kill you."

The man stared at him. Then he laughed.

"Apologize?" He laughed harder. "To that slave? Haha! Useless! She’s nothing! A beast kin! A piece of property!"

Daniel’s vision went red.

He opened his status window.

[Name: Daniel Black]

[Race: Human]

[Level: 4 (12%)]

[Class: Harem Overlord]

Strength: 91

Speed: 72

Intelligence: 15

Mana: 150/150

[Free Points: 100]

Daniel stared at the number. 100. He had leveled up. From the Dire Wolf. He was level 4. And he had 10 free points from the level up. But because of his Harem Overlord class, and the two bonds he had formed, those points were multiplied. By ten.

100 free points.

He smiled.

He allocated them.

[Strength +40]

[Speed +40]

[Intelligence +20]

[Strength: 131]

[Speed: 112]

[Intelligence: 35]

[Mana: 350/350]

Power surged through him. Raw, overwhelming power. His muscles tightened. His senses sharpened. His body felt like it was on fire.

He looked at the big man. His smile widened.

"You should have apologized," Daniel said.

The man frowned. "What?"

Daniel moved.

He was fast. Faster than before. Much faster. He crossed the distance in an instant. His fist connected with the man’s face. The impact was thunderous. The man’s head snapped back. He stumbled.

"What the—" the man started.

Daniel didn’t let him finish. He punched again. And again. And again. Each blow landed with the force of a battering ram. The man tried to block. He tried to dodge. But Daniel was too fast. Too strong.

The man teleported. He appeared across the room. He was breathing hard. His face was bloody.

"You... you’re stronger," he said. "How?"

Daniel didn’t answer. He just walked toward him. Slowly. Deliberately.

The man teleported again. He appeared behind Daniel. His fist was raised. Mana crackled around his knuckles.

Daniel turned. He caught the fist. He squeezed.

The man screamed. His bones cracked. His mana flickered and died.

"You talk about female feelings," Daniel said. His voice was quiet. Cold. "You say they’re precious. You say they must be protected."

He punched the man in the stomach. The man doubled over. He gasped for air.

"But you hurt Fluffy. You threw her across the room. You called her useless. You called her property."

He punched the man again. The man flew backward. He crashed into a pillar. The stone cracked.

"You don’t care about female feelings. You just want an excuse to hurt people."

The man pushed himself up. His face was a mess. His body was broken. But he was still standing.

"I... I was protecting her," he stammered. "GILF... she was crying... she was hurt..."

"She was lying," Daniel said. "She manipulated you. She used you. And you fell for it."

He walked toward the man. His fists were clenched. His eyes were cold.

"Now," he said. "Apologize."

The man looked at him. At his dead eyes. At his bloody fists. At his overwhelming power.

He spit.

"Never," he said.

Daniel smiled. A cold, dangerous smile.

"Then I’ll make you."

He punched.

The man teleported. He appeared behind Daniel. He threw a punch. Daniel dodged. He countered. The man teleported again. He appeared to the left. Another punch. Daniel blocked. He kicked. The man teleported again.

They moved through the dining hall. Fists flying. Teleports flashing. The walls cracked. The tables shattered. The floor crumbled.

"You’re a monster!" the man shouted. "You hurt women! You trample their feelings!"

"I told a girl no," Daniel said. "That’s not a crime."

"You humiliated her!"

"She tried to use me. That’s not my fault."

"You made her cry!"

"She cried because she didn’t get what she wanted. That’s not my problem."

The man screamed. He charged. His fists were glowing with mana. His eyes were wild.

Daniel charged too. His fists were glowing with mana. His eyes were cold.

They met in the center of the room.

Their fists collided. The impact was catastrophic. A shockwave tore through the dining hall. The windows shattered. The doors flew off their hinges. The ceiling cracked.

For a moment, they were frozen. Fist against fist. Mana against mana. Rage against rage.

"Apologize," Daniel said.

"Never," the man spat.

Daniel pushed harder. His mana surged. His strength multiplied. His fist drove forward.

The man’s fist gave way. His arm bent. His bones snapped. He screamed.

Daniel’s fist connected with his face.

The man flew backward. He crashed through the wall. He disappeared into the kitchen. The sound of crashing pots and pans echoed through the building.

Then silence.

Daniel stood there. His chest was heaving. His fist was still extended. His body was covered in blood and dust.

Lyra ran to him. "Daniel!"

Fluffy ran to him. "Master!"

Paul ran to him. "Are you okay?"

Daniel looked at them. At his harem. At his friend.

He smiled. A tired, satisfied smile.

"I’m fine," he said. "But I think we’re going to have to find a new place to eat."

Paul looked at the destroyed dining hall. At the broken tables. At the cracked walls. At the hole in the ceiling.

"You think?" he said.

Daniel laughed. Then he winced. His ribs hurt. His face hurt. Everything hurt.

But he had won.

The man was unconscious. The serving girl was unconscious. The dining hall was destroyed.

But his family was safe.

That was all that mattered.
