Chapter 91: The End of Bob
Chapter 91: The End of Bob
Chapter 91: Chapter 91: The End of Bob
POV Switch: Daniel
The fight had been going on for too long.
Daniel threw a punch. Bob tried to block. He was too slow. The fist connected with his face. His head snapped back. He stumbled. He caught himself.
But he didn’t counterattack.
He just stood there. His chest was heaving. His arms were trembling. His legs were shaking. His regeneration was slowing down. The wounds Daniel had inflicted were taking longer to heal. The bones Daniel had broken were taking longer to mend.
Bob was tired.
Daniel smiled.
"Getting slow, Bob," he said.
Bob didn’t answer. He just raised his fists. He tried to look ready. He failed.
Daniel threw another punch. Bob tried to dodge. He was too slow. The fist connected with his stomach. He doubled over. He gasped. He choked.
Daniel didn’t follow up. He just watched.
"You know," he said, "this is getting boring."
Bob looked up at him. His eyes were full of rage. But there was something else there too. Something he couldn’t hide.
Fear.
"What?" Bob spat.
"You. This fight. All of it." Daniel shrugged. "It’s boring. You keep getting back up. I keep knocking you down. It’s repetitive. Predictable."
Bob snarled. "I’ll kill you."
"You keep saying that. But you haven’t done it yet."
Daniel walked toward him. Slowly. Casually. His hands were in his pockets. His posture was relaxed. He looked like he was taking a stroll through a park.
Bob tried to punch him. Daniel dodged. He didn’t even look. He just moved his head. The fist sailed past.
"See?" Daniel said. "Boring."
Bob tried again. Daniel dodged again.
"Boring."
Again. Dodge.
"Boring."
Again. Dodge.
Bob screamed. He threw everything he had. His fists. His feet. His rage. His desperation.
Daniel dodged it all. He moved like water. Like shadow. Like wind.
When Bob finally stopped, he was gasping for air. His body was trembling. His mana was almost gone.
Daniel sat down beside him.
Bob stared at him. His eyes were wide. Confused.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
Daniel looked at him. His expression was calm. Almost friendly.
"I’m sitting," he said. "My legs were getting tired."
Bob’s mouth fell open. "You... you’re sitting? In the middle of a fight?"
"Yeah."
"Why?"
"Because I’m bored. And my legs were tired. And you’re not a threat anymore."
Bob’s face twisted with rage. He tried to stand. His legs gave out. He collapsed.
Daniel watched him. He didn’t help. He didn’t mock. He just watched.
"So," he said. "About that apology."
Bob looked at him. His eyes were burning.
"Go fuck yourself," he spat.
Daniel smiled. A cruel, wicked smile. The kind of smile that promised pain.
"So you want it slow," he said.
Bob blinked. "What?"
"You want it slow. The apology. You want me to make you suffer until you give it."
"I didn’t say that."
"You didn’t have to." Daniel reached into his inventory. He pulled out a dagger. It gleamed in the dim light. "I can read between the lines."
Bob’s eyes widened. He tried to scramble away. His body wouldn’t cooperate. He was too weak. Too tired. Too broken.
Daniel grabbed him by the collar. He pulled him close. He looked into his eyes.
"Last chance," he said. "Apologize."
Bob stared at him. His breath was ragged. His heart was pounding. His mind was racing.
Then he spat in Daniel’s face.
"Go fuck yourself," he said again.
Daniel wiped the spit from his face. He didn’t look angry. He looked... satisfied.
"Slow it is," he said.
He stabbed Bob in the throat.
Bob’s eyes widened. His mouth opened. Blood poured from his lips. He tried to speak. He couldn’t.
Daniel held the dagger there. He didn’t pull it out. He just held it. Watched.
Bob’s regeneration kicked in. The wound started to close. The blood started to stop.
Daniel pulled the dagger out.
Bob gasped. He coughed. He choked.
The wound healed. The blood stopped. He was alive.
Daniel stabbed him again. In the same spot.
Bob’s eyes rolled back. His body convulsed. He gurgled.
The wound healed. Slower this time.
Daniel pulled the dagger out. He waited.
Bob gasped. He coughed. He looked at Daniel. His eyes were full of terror.
"Please," he whispered. "Please stop."
Daniel tilted his head. "Apologize."
"I’m sorry! I’m sorry! Please!"
"Too late."
Daniel stabbed him again.
And again.
And again.
Each time, Bob’s regeneration was slower. Each time, the wound took longer to heal. Each time, Bob’s life force drained more.
After the fifth stab, Bob stopped moving.
Daniel waited. He watched. He counted.
One minute. Two minutes. Three minutes.
Bob didn’t regenerate.
His body was still. His eyes were closed. His breath was gone.
His monsters dissolved.
They turned back into monster parts. Claws. Fangs. Scales. Bones. They fell to the ground. They scattered. They were lifeless.
Daniel stood up. He dusted off his clothes. He looked at Bob’s body.
"Finally," he said.
He checked his status screen.

He looked at the exp. It hadn’t changed. Still 12%.
"So killing elves doesn’t give exp," he muttered. "That’s annoying."
He closed the screen. He looked around. The street was destroyed. The buildings were rubble. The bodies of monsters were scattered everywhere.
He started walking.
He didn’t know where he was going. He didn’t care. He just walked. His hands were in his pockets. His expression was calm. He looked like a man who hadn’t just killed someone. He looked like a man who was taking a stroll.
He walked through the destruction. Through the rubble. Through the bodies.
He didn’t feel anything.
He had killed Bob. He had killed a person. A living, breathing person with thoughts and feelings and a life.
But he didn’t feel anything.
Bob had hurt his family. Bob had tried to kill him. Bob had threatened the people he cared about.
Bob had deserved it.
Daniel kept walking. His footsteps were steady. His breathing was calm. His mind was clear.
Then he heard it.
A shout. A familiar voice. A voice he knew. A voice he loved.
"MASTER!"
