Volume 3, Chapter 51 – I Hate Blond Punks Most
There were no other bystanders around.
This alley was about thirty meters long, and they were currently right in the middle of it.
Little Gold Tooth and his underlings were still drinking to their hearts’ content.
Almost nobody would come running to a filthy place like this at a time like this.
So Anran was not worried at all that what she was about to do would quickly be discovered by anyone else.
Thus, a counterattack born from “What’re you looking at?” “What if I am?” exploded into action.
Anran rolled up her sleeves, revealing pale forearms. Her arms looked as delicate as porcelain.
And her fists were covered in black gloves, also to hide her fingerprints.
While the blond punk was still grumbling and trying to throw out another “What’re you looking at,” Anran swung a clean, decisive punch straight into his stomach.
“Ah…”
He only got halfway through the cry before he doubled over in agony like a shrimp. Right after that, Anran stuffed his mouth with a random rag she had picked up off the ground.
“FMLh FMLh FMLh…”
The blond punk started struggling desperately.
It was simply too painful. Even though the heavy blow to his stomach left him with little strength, he still could not help trying to break free from Anran’s restraint so he could shout, “This rag is really sour!”
And after that would have come a full barrage of profanity.
But he never got the chance.
In Anran’s hands, the arrogant blond punk was like a newborn chick. Aside from chirping, he could not even manage a proper flap.
“That’ll teach you to act tough. Heh.”
Anran laughed. She was the type to act.
She was not the sort to stand around wasting time trying to roast someone into shutting up. Sometimes physical methods were more direct.
Bang, bang, bang!
Anran threw several more punches at him.
In an instant, she punched him into symmetry.
The blond punk quieted down too. Sure, the rag was nasty, but that still beat pain.
Seeing that he had stopped struggling, Anran let go of the rag.
“Ah…”

The blond punk immediately opened his mouth to scream. Already prepared, Anran did not hesitate to stuff the rag back over his mouth.
“Wuuugh…”
“Oof.”
He took another punch.
“Behave yourself!” Anran let go of the rag.
“Ah…”
“Wuuugh…”
“Ugh!”
By the time Anran removed the rag for the third time, the blond punk had finally accepted his fate.
“I was wrong! I’m sorry!”
He was hurting badly, and the swelling on his left and right sides was perfectly even.
“Honestly, if your IQ were a little higher, you could’ve suffered a little less.” Anran let out a sigh.
She had absolutely no intention of throwing away that rag.
After giving the blond punk a once-over, she said, “Now I’m going to ask you some questions. Answer me properly.”
The blond punk immediately nodded up and down.
Did he have any other choice?
Anran was very satisfied with his cooperation. “Are you one of Little Gold Tooth’s men?”
The blond punk immediately nodded.
Compared with talking, nodding was easier.
“Very good. Then the second question,” Anran said. “Do you know where Little Gold Tooth is right now?”
“I do,” said the blond punk.
“If you know, then why aren’t you talking already?” Anran pressed.
“Th…” The blond punk thought of how traitorous subordinates were dealt with, and a chill ran through his heart.
“Ah.” Anran let out a long sigh. “How did this turn into me looking like some gentle, righteous hero?”
She suddenly pulled a mechanical switchblade from her pocket. The gleaming blade snapped out and hovered near the blond punk’s chin. “Are you talking or not? If you don’t, I’ll cut you! I hate blond punks most!”

“…”
“You’re not talking, huh.”
With a cold laugh, Anran took out a pack of spicy strips. “If you still don’t talk, after I cut you, I’ll dig a hole for you and plant this in there!”
The blond punk’s body suddenly trembled.
He understood.
This masked young man was a devil.
He even had methods this vicious.
“What a pity I don’t have any chili oil.” Anran’s tone was full of disappointment.
“I’ll talk, I’ll talk. When I came out just now, Boss was still in the reception room of his restaurant talking with someone.”
After taking a beating, the blond punk’s mind was now extremely clear.
Pain had done that.
“Talking with who?”
“A round-faced guy. I heard his name was, was Lennard.”
Lennard?
Well, that worked out nicely. Several enemies had gathered in one place.
If she accidentally killed Lennard too, Anran would not feel the slightest bit guilty.
He was just a minor character with barely any influence on the plot anyway.
And he was also her enemy. His reputation in the old city district was not much better than Little Gold Tooth’s.
“Do you know what they were talking about?”
“No.” The blond punk shook his head.
Anran thought for a moment. “All right, last question. How many of your people are around here altogether? And how many are inside the restaurant?”
Uh, wasn’t that two questions?
“Hurry up and talk!” Anran slid the blade downward.
“I’ll talk, I’ll talk.” Cold sweat poured from the blond punk. “There are about twenty or thirty people in the restaurant. I don’t know about the others.”
Twenty or thirty people.

Anran pondered for a moment.
With the self-destruct robot, as long as she was not tied down by the people outside, success was still very possible.
Little Gold Tooth’s gang of hoodlums were usually fierce and brawl-happy, but once they saw things were going badly, they ran faster than anyone.
“All right. You’ve outlived your usefulness.”
Anran looked around. There was no way she could let this blond punk go.
After all, he would expose her information.
But directly killing him and dumping him here was not ideal either.
The blond punk looked at Anran in horror. Just as he was about to scream, Anran clamped a hand over his mouth, and then a rain of punches came crashing down.
Puff puff puff…
“Urgh!”
The blond punk passed out from the pain on the spot.
Anran stuffed the rag back into his mouth, tied up his hands and feet, tossed him into the nearby trash can, and closed the lid while she was at it.
That way, the badly injured blond punk would not be waking up anytime soon. There was no major external bleeding on him, so he would not attract anyone else over. As for whether he would survive, that depended on his own luck.
Anran did not think the odds were good.
She quietly slipped out of the alley. In the dim environment of the old city district, Anran was completely inconspicuous.
From the very beginning, because her identity was too unusual, neither a traditional NPC nor a player, Anran had always felt much less constrained when handling things.
If this were another world, maybe she would not have been able to act so decisively. But this was a game.
With a mindset like this, growing into a boss was only natural, right?
She seemed to be drawing closer and closer to the personality of Pirate Princess Anran.
Well, even if she had no choice but to become a boss, being a boss with personal charisma was not necessarily worse than being one of the righteous side.
Near the back door of Little Gold Tooth’s restaurant.
Anran circled the area for quite a while longer. By the time she got here, it was already around nine o’clock.
The noise outside gradually died down.
A lot of people had dispersed, which was good news for Anran.
She had been observing the place all along. Little Gold Tooth and Lennard had not come out, apparently intending to drag things out deep into the night.

Outside the restaurant was a ring of low walls. Wearing her tactical goggles, Anran’s night vision became excellent.
From a distance, she could see that a whole circle of people in the restaurant’s main hall were still competing in drinking.
If she sent the self-destruct robot in at this moment, it would definitely blow a whole nest of them to death.
But Little Gold Tooth and Lennard, hiding inside, would definitely be alerted. If there was some secret passage here, then all her effort would be for nothing.
Thinking of that, Anran waited until no one was paying attention, then put in a little effort and finally managed to climb over the wall without incident.
It was still a height issue, plus she was carrying a tool bag.
She really needed to make that exoskeleton armor and see how it worked.
Anran crouched in the corner by the wall, took out a self-destruct robot, and set its route.
Then she secured a pistol and a mechanical switchblade at her thigh, put the High-Energy Explosive and flashbang somewhere easy to grab in her tool bag, and with rifle in hand, quietly edged closer to the house in the courtyard.
The building was only two stories and not very large. Little Gold Tooth was not in the main hall but together with Lennard, which narrowed the search area by quite a bit.
Just after slipping past the corner of the wall, Anran heard voices coming from behind one of the windows.
“That pancake-face really was generous this time.”
“That’s because he wants something from Boss. Otherwise, how could he possibly be this generous?”
“True. Compared to what he gave before, this time it’s on a whole different level.”
“He really is ruthless. To get things done, he actually sold out his own younger female cousin.”
“Heh heh, Boss likes girls like that.”
“I still like your type better.”
“You nasty thing, slow down.”
“…”
Anran had been standing with her back to the wall when she suddenly heard those last two faintly coy lines. She instantly went blank.
I…
Blech…
She suddenly remembered the convenience store owner’s warning.
No, hold it together. After I kill Little Gold Tooth, I’ll come back and purify these two.
Anran quietly moved to another window.
