Chapter 245: The Maid of the Small Empire

Miss Hertitz trusted Isabella very much.

After the two left the changing room Hertitz displayed an enthusiastic appearance.

She followed behind Isa asking about all kinds of cleaning matters.

It was like those most diligent and hardworking students in school following behind their teacher to ask questions.

Her work enthusiasm was clearly visible.

“Cleaning and hygiene?”

“Mm. You only need to clean this place up.”

Isa nodded and pointed at the already very clean kitchen.

Hertitz glanced at the kitchen then looked at Gabriella who was following behind.

For a moment she did not know what sound to make.

An embarrassed expression finally appeared on her face.

For people of the Heavenly Oracle Envoy type as long as there was a goal they would do their best to accomplish it.

They would even strive to do it perfectly.

But Hertitz completely could not see what needed to be cleaned in this kitchen.

She only nodded blankly.

The sharpness on her face had diminished quite a bit.

“I understand. By the way is any method fine as long as I clean it up?”

“No. You need to use the Saintess method. Otherwise you might accidentally damage the room. That would make Gabriella angry.” Isabella shook her head.

As she spoke Hertitz also glanced at Gabriella.

An embarrassed smile appeared on her face.

“Saintess Miss Olivia?”

“Recently you probably don’t have any vacation.”

“Yes. But I also need some time to practice so…”

“Rest… I’m fine. I will definitely complete it well Miss Isa!”

Hertitz gathered her courage.

Watching her lively appearance Gabriella immediately thought of Elsa.

When Elsa first went to the inner palace she had also been very active.

She proactively did everything with the goal of building a good relationship with Liya.

But in the end she had been injected with dark magic power and Shadow by Liya.

Now she had already fallen together with Tina and become a demon.

To be honest Gabriella did not feel that this was a true fall.

After all from the current looks of things becoming a demon and a subordinate of the Evil God would not make the girls suffer.

“You look quite motivated.” Isabella gave Hertitz a helpless expression. “Just follow me.”

Gabriella sighed and left the room.

At least for now it seemed Hertitz had not discovered Isa’s identity.

After walking out of the kitchen Creis was already waiting for a long time.

She followed her back to the bedroom to rest and recuperate.

Right now she was purely a “patient” who was resting and recuperating.

Gabriella still liked to walk around outside on normal days.

After all let alone fighting even obtaining intelligence was not a simple matter for Gabriella.

So she once again pulled Creis to stroll around inside the mansion.

When they passed by the kitchen Gabriella accidentally saw Hertitz lying on the ground observing the gap between the kitchen fireplace and the table in a daze.

Behind her was Isa with a serious face mumbling something.

“You should use magic here…”

“You can also use a cloth. Do I need to teach you again?”

“I… Mm… Please.” Hertitz knelt on the ground and said hesitantly.

Gabriella discovered that she seemed to have misunderstood Isabella.

She was quite vigilant toward Hertitz.

There was even a high probability that she was monitoring her.

Gabriella pulled Creis and eavesdropped near the kitchen for a while.

Since Hertitz’s magic power was restricted she naturally would not hear the two girls secretly observing outside the kitchen.

Isabella demonstrated cleaning water magic to Hertitz.

Her precise control was as pleasing to the eye as embroidery.

The water flow passed through any gap carrying out the hard-to-see dust and oil stains inside.

It formed a small water tornado that drilled into the bucket.

There were also some carrot cubes and food scraps that had fallen on the ground while cooking in the water.

In her hands the water seemed to have turned into a slime that could stretch and retract at will.

Hertitz began to imitate and could be considered learning.

However as a fire attribute user her control over water magic was not very skilled.

At the beginning she could only manage to take the water magic back.

She could not control it freely like Olivia and Isa.

“Is this… about right?”

“Mm.”

A few minutes later Hertitz finally began to discuss Gabriella’s matters.

“Lord Isa has Lord Gabriella ever been imprisoned by the Evil God before?”

“If you’re talking about the Demon King then yes.”

“Is her body okay?”

Isabella did not know how to answer for a moment.

Of course she knew her wife was eavesdropping outside.

“Why don’t you ask her yourself?”

“I understand. By the way when will we have the chance to get close to her? I still have some things I want to ask her.”

Isabella sighed.

“Hertitz you were punished by the Holy Queen and had your power restricted to come work here right? To be honest you shouldn’t have any chance to get close to Gabriella.”

“Is that so?” Hertitz’s lusterless eyes once again filled with hope. “If I perform well maybe there will be a chance.”

At this moment she wished she could acknowledge her as a master on the spot.

“I will do my best. Believe me Lord Isa. I will be able to learn very soon.”

“Good. I look forward to it.”

The corner of Isabella’s mouth curved up revealing a successful smile.

It was as if she was deliberately trying to gain Hertitz’s trust.

Once she showed that kind of expression it meant she already had a plan.

Gabriella let out a sigh of relief and touched Creis’s shoulder.

Creis followed closely behind.

Only then did Gabriella notice that Creis had not spoken a single word from beginning to end.

Normally even during the day she would keep asking about Gabriella’s physical condition.

She might even talk about the weather or all things in the world like a mother who was trying hard to play the role of a teacher and speaking earnestly.

Once Creis remained silent it meant she was waiting for an opportunity and had something to say.

Therefore Gabriella simply brought Creis downstairs.

She mentioned going for a walk in the garden of the wealthy manor.

The small grove beside the gravel path there was lush and green.

The air was fresh and refreshing.

The fine rain at night had left glistening water droplets on every inch of the grass.

Halfway there Creis who had been following behind quickly walked up.

“Gabriella.” Creis indeed had something to say. “Daughter may I talk to you about some things?”

“Mother what is it?”

Gabriella was a bit flustered at first.

After all the longer time passed the harder it became to hide the pregnancy.

She still had to find an opportunity to explain it to Creis.

But Creis did not mention anything about the child.

Instead she brought up a topic Gabriella had never thought of.

“The restoration pods are a product of past humans. I never thought of actively killing the Heavenly Oracle Envoys…”

“Past humans. Mother is referring to the humans from ten thousand years ago?”
