Chapter 26 Just Lend Me Your Hand
"Someone so filthy, and yet they dared to touch him."
Rou'er's face flushed bright red, and she started getting antsy, even couldn't help clawing at her clothes.
This drug just made her restless—totally normal for a brothel, and it wouldn't kill her. He'd still gone easy on her.
Can't let that happen again.
Sang Yu thought as he walked off, but that night, Li Zhiming's hurt figure slowly crept back into his head.
Like peach blossoms glowing against a face, eyes all teary looking at him—damn, that was tempting.
His throat went dry, and he downed a cup of wine in one shot.
The hard liquor burned his chest, and he felt even hotter.
Behind him, sounds that made your heart pound and face flush started up. Sang Yu's heart was pounding like crazy. He grabbed the wine jug and chugged it hard, soaking his clothes, then stormed off.
That room's door was left wide open, and Rou'er, unable to take it, crawled up and latched onto some random guy.
*
Bang.
Li Zhiming's door got kicked open.
He and the girl were sitting across from each other eating, eating, eating...
They weren't actually doing the deed.
The guy who walked in had a flash of joy in his eyes. His face was red, his breathing heavy, and he looked like he was in real pain: "I..."
Seeing him come running like that, Li Zhiming jumped up, even knocking his chopsticks off the table: "What's wrong with you?"
Sang Yu looked at him, gripping his clothes with both hands, his mouth all pouty like he was about to cry.
"Wh-wh-what's wrong with you?" Li Zhiming hurried over to him, panicking.
He was fine just a second ago—could he be poisoned?
The guy leaned in closer, his voice real low: "A girl just poured me some wine, and I had a sip. Don't know why, but right after, my whole body felt terrible. Here, especially bad."
He grabbed Li Zhiming's hand and pulled it toward himself.
The second he touched something he shouldn't have, Li Zhiming's eyes went wide, and he yanked his hand back like he'd been zapped, his face a mess of embarrassment and shock.
Isn't this straight out of a soap opera?
Creep.
Yeah, bringing someone that good-looking out was risky. The kid was still young, and someone had already made a move on him.
Li Zhiming happened to be standing with his back to that girl, Xiu'er, blocking her view.
Seeing their weird gestures and expressions, she asked, "Is the young master maybe a lightweight?"
"No, no, it's fine." Li Zhiming waved his hand, thought for a second, and lowered his voice too, "Are you really that uncomfortable? How about... this girl..."
In TV dramas, when someone gets drugged like this, if they don't do *it*, they die.
And they were in a brothel, with a pretty girl right there. Sure, the kid was young, but since it had come to this, no point in being shy.
Sang Yu shook his head stubbornly, biting his lip, and slumped weakly against him: "I don't want to. She's filthy. Get her out, mm."
!
Li Zhiming couldn't force anyone, and besides, for a first time, this place really wasn't right.
He sent the girl out and locked the door to keep anyone from bothering them.
Before leaving, the girl shot them a meaningful look.
Once outside, the other girls asked curiously, "Isn't there a rich young master inside? Why'd you come out?"
Xiu'er pouted, all annoyed and flirty: "That young master wouldn't even touch me, just made me sit and eat with him."
"Huh? Do guys like that really exist?"
"And..." Her expression got a bit weird, "The young master who came with him—they've got an unusual thing going on. I think they came here to hide something..."
"Really? For real?"
"I think so. The two of them were even hugging, and when I left, he told me to close the door. Young masters like that, all full of fire—any one of them would've reacted to a beauty like me, but he didn't even flinch!"
"Yeah, rich folks sure have weird tastes."
"Tell me about it."
Outside, they were gossiping and bitching, but inside, the tension was thick.
Sang Yu lay on the couch, looking genuinely tortured, his eyes like he might lose it any second.
Li Zhiming deliberately kept three meters away, scared for his virtue, and cautiously suggested, "How about you take a cold shower first? I'll go get a doctor to check you out."
This was dangerous.
"No!"
He almost ground his teeth, head down, voice all weak: "I'm not that bad. Just pour me some tea."
"Ah? Okay, okay."
Li Zhiming held the teacup and, forced by the situation, moved closer to the bed, stretching out his arm to hand it over.
Sang Yu looked up, his face full of hurt: "Young master... do you hate me that much? I knew it—I shouldn't have forgotten I'm just a prisoner. Hah, you really still hate what I am."
"No, no, don't say that. I don't, I swear."
He stepped over in one big stride.
Those words hit his conscience hard. It was him who'd brought the kid out and then ditched him, letting him get dragged into this place.
It was also him who'd driven the kid away, leaving him alone, which got other women eyeing him.
Ugh. Guilty.
While he wasn't looking, Sang Yu's face didn't show a hint of discomfort anymore.
He reached out to take the tea, but his hand shook, and the cup tipped over, splashing hot tea all over himself, soaking his clothes even more.
"Are you alright? Did you get burned?"
Li Zhiming exclaimed in shock, immediately moving to fix his clothes.
Sang Yu seized his hand in one swift motion, and with a firm yank, pulled him onto the couch.
"I'm burning up. Help me."
His face was flushed red, his body scorching hot, and his eyes blazed with fervor.
Li Zhiming instinctively wanted to flee. That look in his eyes was unsettling—desire clouding his judgment, a feeling of being swept away by impulse. He dreaded being reduced to a tool.
He was terrified.
Waaah, goddamn it.
He shook his head timidly: "Um, I don't know how to help you. If you're really suffering and won't see a doctor, maybe I should just find you a girl."
After all, people in ancient times matured early; it was normal to marry in one's teens.
Sang Yu grabbed him, pulling him close with a sharp yank.
"They disgust me. Young Master, just lend me your hand."
"Hand??"
Li Zhiming was trapped, his eyes filled with panic and repulsion. There was not a hint of the joy he'd shown with the woman earlier, but rather a trace of disgust hidden within.
Sang Yu, angered by his reaction, savagely seized his hand and forced it onto his body.
Suddenly, Li Zhiming stiffened all over, as if he'd touched a live wire. He jerked back to escape, frantically pushing at Sang Yu.
"It's all your fault. Li Zhiming, if you don't help me, I'll kill you."
Sang Yu leaned against his neck, his breath hot against his skin, his feeble voice still laced with murderous intent. Li Zhiming even felt a blade at his throat.
He knew that if he dared to refuse, this man would actually kill him.
