Chapter 14 The Teasing Yandere Boy 14
Chapter 14: The Manipulative Yandere Boy 14
It had been three days since Jian Qingming was taken away, and Qin Qing finally got the results of the paternity test.
The wait had been pure torture for her.
On one hand, she desperately wanted to know the results; on the other, she was terrified they'd confirm her worst fears.
When she had lost her son all those years ago, Qin Qing had been so mentally drained she could barely sleep. But after finally finding the child, he turned out to be nothing but a handful.
If the results were what she feared, then they owed their son even more.
So Qin Qing didn't push for the results—she just waited patiently.
Three days later, she held the test results in her hands.
Although Jian Han had his suspicions, he still figured the world couldn't have that many coincidences.
He was dead set on the jade pendant being right.
But when the paternity test read "confirmed biological relationship," Jian Han was completely floored.
Qin Qing closed her eyes, consumed by regret and rage.
She wasn't a fool. Sure, Jian Qingming had always been at odds with people, but he'd never actually tried to kill anyone before.
Now, seeing this result and recalling what he had done to Jiang Ran, it all clicked into place!
Jian Han gripped the paper and pulled his wife close.
"Don't cry. At least we found our son!"
At that, Qin Qing's eyes slowly turned sharp.
She grabbed Jian Han's arm and hauled him to the one place she wanted to go most.
The police station.
Jian Qingming had been stuck in a cell for days with drunk drivers and guys charged with armed assault.
Watching those guys sleep like babies without a care in the world, he couldn't help but feel disgusted.
As the days dragged on with no word from the outside, Jian Qingming's anxiety kept building.
Finally, on the third day of his detention, he got word from the Jian couple.
When they met, Jian Qingming saw Qin Qing's red-rimmed eyes—no need to guess why. She was torn up over what he'd been through.
With no other cards to play, Jian Qingming could only keep pleading his case.
"Mom, please, you gotta find a way to get me out of here! I know what I did might not have been right, but what's the point of keeping me locked up in here?
Worst case, I'll go apologize to him, right? Wouldn't that be enough? Mom, if Grandpa were looking down from above and saw me this miserable, he wouldn't be able to rest in peace either."
Hearing that, the couple's hatred only burned hotter.
They now had every reason to believe this was all part of Jian Qingming's plan all along!
And Jian Han, thinking about how his father had spoiled and shielded Jian Qingming, felt nothing but a dull ache in his chest.
"If he knew the one he'd always loved and protected was a fraud—a cold-blooded, vicious person—he'd be even more devastated."
The man's voice was eerily calm despite his fury, his dark eyes like ice that hadn't melted in a thousand years, sending a chill down anyone's spine.
Jian Qingming was so stunned he didn't blink for a long time.
So this... had been found out after all.
He clenched his fists, clinging to his last sliver of hope, and pretended to look confused. "Dad... what... what do you mean?"
Every time Qin Qing heard him call her "Mom," it felt like another knife twisting in her chest.
She wiped her tears and said firmly, "Jian Qingming, I've been your mother for over ten years, and that has to count for something.
So I'm willing to give you a chance to start over.
Spend these years in here and really reform yourself. Maybe one day you'll get out."
With that, she didn't give that vicious bastard another look and walked out.
In that instant, Jian Qingming felt like his whole world had come crashing down.
---
Qiao Ling was sprawled out on the couch waiting for Jiang Ran to finish his homework when he accidentally dozed off.
These past few days of eating and lounging around had completely killed his motivation, and since Jiang Ran was already in a bad mood, he didn't dare poke or tease him any more.
That night, when Jiang Ran came downstairs to get some water, he saw that Qiao Ling had already passed out cold.
He scooped him up to carry him upstairs, but to his surprise, the young master who usually slept like a rock actually woke up.
He didn't resist Jiang Ran. He just blinked, saw who it was, and slumped back against his shoulder.
His voice was soft and sleepy as he mumbled against Jiang Ran's ear.
"Jiang Ran."
"Mhm."
He looped his arms around the boy's neck and rubbed his cheek against him, asking, "Jiang Ran, can you smile more in the future? Director said you've had that grumpy face since you were a kid."
It sounded like sleepy nonsense, but he meant every word.
Jiang Ran gently wrapped an arm around his slim waist and asked, "Are you ordering me around?"
At that, Qiao Ling scrambled onto the bed, hugged his pillow, yawned a little, and muttered.
"Look how scary you are. Would I dare boss you around?"
The boy slowly leaned in and gave his cherry-glossy lips a light peck, whispering, "If it's my young master, then yeah, you can boss me around."
If it was him, then no matter what he did, Jiang Ran would take it all willingly.
Qiao Ling's eyelids were getting heavy, and he didn't catch what came next.
Sprawled on the bed, the young master's pajamas were loose, showing off a big stretch of fair, glowing skin.
Jiang Ran's eyes darkened, his heart pounding. In the deepest, darkest corner of his mind, it was like a monstrous beast lurking in the deep sea, its greed impossible to hide.
He slowly leaned over the figure on the bed and whispered right by his ear.
Qiao Ling frowned at the annoying sound, muttering discontentedly, "Stop it! I'm trying to sleep."
He was so sleepy his head was spinning, and right now, nothing sounded better than sleep.
---
It was already midsummer, but the rainy season still brought unpredictable weather.
What had started as a clear day gradually turned as thick clouds completely blotted out the bright moon.
A storm was brewing, and the branches outside the window swayed with the wind.
Relentless raindrops pounded against the window frames, while the branches dancing in the gale seemed to join in the frenzy.
In the darkness of the night, the sounds of wind and rain wove together into a wild symphony.
Early the next morning,
When Qiao Ling woke up, a wave of soreness hit him.
He rubbed his forehead, feeling like he had a hangover.
But unfortunately, he hadn't had a drop of alcohol last night, and the scenes from the previous night kept replaying in his mind—every single moment, not one detail skipped!
His pale fingertips gently touched his forehead, as if he could still feel the sweat from the person on top of him dripping onto his forehead.
It made his heart race and his whole body tighten up!
Qiao Ling was totally confused. All he remembered was finishing dinner last night and lying on the sofa waiting for Jiang Ran to go to bed.
But how on earth had they ended up like this?
System: "..." If you'd called me, I'd have a thing or two to say!
That annoying thing cleared its throat and said in a sing-songy voice: "Ahem! Host, I told you long ago, if you keep spoiling him—"
"Please shut up! Scram!"
System: "You got it!"
