TYMRHBDES Chapter 149
“Then I’d be exposed, and he’d beat me up.”
“By then, I wouldn’t be able to fight back, and I couldn’t run away naked…”

The person on the bed sniffled, hugging their tail tightly and wrapping it around their fingers in a dejected manner.
“Wouldn’t that be just too awful?”
“So, to avoid getting beaten up, I’d better run away first.”
“I’ll continue trying to win him over later, once Pei Yu can accept same-sex relationships.”

Mother Pei had initially wanted her future daughter-in-law to stay for a few more days.
However, Pei Yu was busy with work, and his shy fiancée sweetly pleaded to go out and play. So, after lunch the next day, the two left.
On the way, the little fox clamored for the city center’s most popular dessert, the one with the longest queue. Pei Yu pulled the car over to the side of the road and prepared to go wait in line himself.
Jiang Luoluo, her hands gripping the seatbelt, glanced at Pei Yu.
He took out his sunglasses and perched them on his high-bridged nose, his thin lips pressed into a straight line, his jawline sharp and defined, radiating a solemn, aristocratic air.
Jiang Luoluo softly called his name.
Pei Yu turned his head, the black stud in his ear glinting in the sunlight. His handsome face was shadowed, his demeanor cold and sharp.
He really was incredibly handsome.
A pang of reluctance tugged at Jiang Luoluo. His fingers tightened on the seatbelt as he tilted his head back.
“Pei Yu, can I kiss you?”
At her words, the corners of Pei Yu’s lips curved slightly. He leaned in, effortlessly cornering Jiang Luoluo against the seat.
Their noses brushed, their breaths mingling in the close space.
Pei Yu raised his hand and removed his sunglasses, his striking features suddenly looming large before Jiang Luoluo—sharp brow bones, eyes as dark as night.
Pei Yu chuckled softly, his voice deep and resonant. “Where does my darling want to kiss me?”
Jiang Luoluo’s cheeks flushed crimson as he reached out a delicate, pale finger and tapped Pei Yu’s lips.
Pei Yu leaned in closer, his magnetic voice patiently guiding her. “Put your arms around my neck.”
Jiang Luoluo obediently wrapped his arms around Pei Yu’s neck.
Pei Yu cupped the back of his head with one hand, drawing him closer, and lowered his head to kiss him.
A few minutes later, Jiang Luoluo covered his mouth with crossed hands, his wide eyes blinking rapidly, his curled lashes fluttering incessantly.
A soft voice muffled through his fingers, “Pei Yu, you bit me again!”
All that reluctance he’d felt earlier, wasted!
Pei Yu braced one arm against the car door and the other on the seat, looking down at Jiang Luoluo with a smile as he explained.
“Darling, that little peck you gave me? That’s so old-fashioned for us humans.”
“What’s popular now is this kind—the kind with tongue.”
Jiang Luoluo blinked again.
Pei Yu was just making things up.
He always tricked him like this. How mean!
Jiang Luoluo sighed in relief, naturally refusing to admit anything.
“You’re so strange, Pei Yu.”
“I’m a human. How could I have a tail?”
Another familiar cold laugh escaped Pei Yu, his lips curving into a smile that carried the chill of unmelted snow.
“You think cutting off your tail and disguising yourself as a man with short hair would fool me?”
Jiang Luoluo froze, his cheeks puffing out as he tilted his head back in disbelief.
“Pei Yu, I’m a man!” she exclaimed. “Do you really think I’m a woman?”
* No way!*
Pei Yu frowned. “What kind of joke is this? Do you think I can’t tell the difference between a man and a woman?”
“You think changing your clothes proves you’re a man?”
“Do you really think I can’t tell the difference?”
Jiang Luoluo hesitated, then pulled out his ID card.
Pei Yu glanced at it, his voice low as he read his name: “Jiang Luoluo… Is this your real name?”
“Oh, and you even photoshopped the gender to ‘male’? You’ve really gone all out!”
Jiang Luoluo: “……”
Steel resolve hardening his heart, Jiang Luoluo grabbed Pei Yu’s arm and dragged him toward the restroom.
Inside a stall, he bit his lip in hesitation before making a show of unbuckling his pants.
Pei Yu glanced at his movements, then looked away at the stall door, his voice flat. “Don’t bother. You think this will make me believe you?”
“Or do you think my respect for women would stop me from looking?”
Jiang Luoluo didn’t reply, merely poking Pei Yu’s arm with his finger.
Pei Yu lowered his gaze, his eyes sweeping downward to Jiang Luoluo’s lower half.
His phoenix eyes widened abruptly, a strangled sound escaping his throat:
“++.”
