TYMRHBDES Chapter 161

The Little Fox Spirit pursed his lips, refusing to speak.

His watery eyes, brimming with obvious petulance, gazed up at Pei Yu through thick, dark lashes.

After a moment of intense eye contact, the Little Fox Spirit suddenly stepped on Pei Yu’s abs, his voice indignant:

“You still say boys liking boys is disgusting!”

“Fine! Now that you know I’m a boy, do you feel disgusted and want to throw up just looking at me?”

A light step landed on Pei Yu’s lower abdomen.

The Little Fox Spirit’s strength was so slight that his stomp felt more like a tickle.

Pei Yu’s heart fluttered with a tingling sensation, and his lingering annoyance vanished completely. He grabbed the Little Fox Spirit’s foot, coaxing him:

“Who said that about you?”

“I can’t get enough of you.”

The Little Fox Spirit shot him a suspicious glance, then scanned Pei Yu from head to toe.

When his gaze settled on Pei Yu’s midsection, his beautiful face paled dramatically. “What do you mean, ‘you like me’?” he exclaimed in shock.

The Little Fox Spirit bolted, cursing under his breath as he fled:

“Damn you, Pei Yu! I bet you still just want to sleep with me!”

But he’d barely taken a step before Pei Yu yanked him back by the arm.

“We’re getting married sooner or later anyway. What’s the difference between sleeping together now or later?”

The Little Fox Spirit struggled in Pei Yu’s arms. “Dream on, Pei Yu! Who said I’d marry you?!”

Pei Yu pulled him closer, lowering his head to capture his flushed lips.

When he finally released him, the Little Fox Spirit covered his mouth, his voice reluctant:

“Aren’t you straight? I hate straight guys like you the most!”

With his charming personality and striking beauty, even his defiance was adorably delicate. His eyes, when he looked at you, held a captivating allure, both innocent and seductive, making it impossible not to want to indulge him.

Pei Yu coaxed him to lower his hand, then leaned in for another kiss.

“Who’s straight? I’m not straight at all.”

“Doesn’t our darling know? I’m bent like instant noodles.”

Dazed by Pei Yu’s kisses, Jiang Luoluo murmured softly:

“I still haven’t agreed to be with you, Pei Yu…”

“I won’t agree to be with you easily.”

“And I won’t marry you either, so stop dreaming.”

He was so absorbed in his quiet muttering that he didn’t even notice the blanket slipping off his body. Only when Pei Yu’s cool lips pressed against his shoulder did Jiang Luoluo belatedly try to push him away.

Pei Yu seized his wrist, pinning it against the pillow. He soothed him with a tender kiss on his eyelid, his voice soft and seductive:

“I understand, darling.”

“Starting tomorrow, I’ll pursue you seriously, okay?”

“If you’re good, I’ll try even harder when I chase you tomorrow…”

Jiang Luoluo was drifting in and out of sleep when the incessant buzzing of his phone pierced the haze.

He burrowed his head deeper under the covers, but the vibrations persisted.

Without even opening his eyes, he groped around the blanket until he found the phone. He swiped to answer immediately, his voice hoarse and soft from crying:

“Hello?”

A familiar male voice boomed from the other end: “Holy shit! Where’s Brother Pei?!”

Jiang Luoluo forced his eyes open, staring at the name “Zhang Hao” on the screen. Hearing Pei Yu’s name, he puffed out his cheeks and snapped:

“He’s dead.”

He hung up abruptly and tossed the phone out from under the covers.

Pei Yu, dripping wet and toweling his hair, caught the phone and redialed.

Zhang Hao’s voice boomed again: “Brother Pei, aren’t you supposed to be dead?”

Pei Yu raised an eyebrow. “Resurrected.”

A movement stirred beneath the covers, revealing a strand of pale golden hair.

Pei Yu watched the figure nestled in his bed, a lazy smile curving his lips.

He pulled back the covers and leaned down to kiss the soft, delicate cheek, his voice teasing:

“If I were dead, wouldn’t my darling become a little widow?”

The person under the covers flinched away from his touch, muttering softly, “Pei Yu is so annoying,” before burying his head completely under the blanket.

The sudden movement sent a sharp pain through his inner thigh, causing Jiang Luoluo to gasp. He reached down to touch the tender area. It felt warm, undoubtedly chafed raw.

Two hands reached under the covers, lifting him up, blanket and all. Pei Yu lowered his head to kiss Jiang Luoluo’s cheek, but Jiang Luoluo twisted his head away.

His cheeks puffed out in a pout, radiating delicate petulance. It was clear he was throwing a tantrum.

Pei Yu took Jiang Luoluo’s hand, brought his fingers to his lips, and kissed them gently. “Are you still mad?”

Jiang Luoluo remained silent, refusing to acknowledge him.

Pei Yu: “But I didn’t even go inside, did I?”

Mentioning it only made things worse. Jiang Luoluo’s eyes instantly welled up, tears trembling on his lashes, the tip of his nose reddening with hurt. “You’re still talking about it!” he sniffled, his voice breaking with sobs. “Don’t you know it hurts, Pei Yu? How old are you compared to me, Pei Yu!”

His voice trembled, the pitch rising and falling, making Pei Yu’s heart melt. He pulled Jiang Luoluo into his arms, pressed a kiss to his cheek, and coaxed, “Then let me see, okay? Let me check if it’s red…”

The person in his arms shook his head, lips pressed together, stubborn yet pitiful. “No!”

On the other side, the phone screen lit up repeatedly. Jiang Luoluo wiped away his tears, climbed off Pei Yu’s lap, and answered the call.

It was someone from the production team. After listening, Jiang Luoluo said a few “okay”s and gave them an address.

Hanging up, Pei Yu leaned in again. “Can’t you just come with me?”

Jiang Luoluo shoved him away, snapping, “Who wants to go with you!”

He slid off the bed, his thigh trembling as his feet touched the floor.

Then he froze, unable to move.

Pei Yu rushed to support him, only to find Jiang Luoluo’s face flushed and pale, his eyes brimming with unshed tears.

Seeing Pei Yu, he pressed his lips together and whispered, “It hurts so much.”

Even the slightest movement caused his pants to chafe against his inner thighs, sending searing pain through him.

With his delicate skin, he couldn’t tell if it had broken.

Pei Yu crouched down, opening his arms. “Let me carry you, okay?”

The person before him gently bit his lower lip, his tear-bright eyes fixed on Pei Yu for a moment before slowly cursing him:

“You dog, Pei Yu.”

“I don’t want you to carry me!”

With some awkward movements, he managed to change into presentable clothes, all the while feeling a gaze fixed intently on his back.

Jiang Luoluo turned to glare at him.

The rims of his round, apricot-shaped eyes were red, the corners tilted slightly upward, giving him a delicate, childlike air that lacked any real intimidation.

Pei Yu moved to coax him again, and as expected, Jiang Luoluo shot him another glare before slowly shuffling out of the room.

In the living room, Zhang Hao paced in circles, his anxiety palpable.

The production crew for Brother Pei’s upcoming variety show was due to arrive soon, but the little streamer was still here. How was he supposed to explain this?

A friend?

The homophobic Film Emperor making friends with a gay bottom?

Who would believe that?!

Before he could finish his frantic pacing, he saw the little streamer from the phone screen emerge from Brother Pei’s bedroom with an odd posture. His small face was flushed pink, and when he glanced up and saw Zhang Hao, his cheeks reddened even further.

Meanwhile, Brother Pei followed cautiously behind, his voice soft and gentle as he coaxed the other man. Zhang Hao’s jaw dropped in astonishment.

The production crew planned to film short behind-the-scenes clips at each guest’s home to generate buzz before the live broadcast.

Unwilling to stay, Jiang Luoluo returned home with a pout and cooperated with the crew for the filming.

As soon as the clips were released, fans who had been lying in wait swarmed online. Combined with the variety show’s widespread popularity, the buzz skyrocketed.

—” Is Pei Yu really going to be on this? Why would he lower himself to participate in a variety show?”

“Brother Pei!! So handsome!!!”

“Brother Pei! Frontally attack me!! (Just kidding)”

“Our Brother Pei looks like a movie star just sitting there in his casual clothes! The way he crosses his legs is lethal! What a stunning man!”

“Jiang Wei’s here too! This episode is going to be epic!”

“Hey! Isn’t that Jiang Something, the super popular streamer? How did he even get on the show?”

“Damn! Does anyone not know about the love triangle drama between Pei Yu, Jiang Wei, and the streamer? The production team is so devious! @#$%”

“Publicity stunt, right? Pei Yu acts like he’s the center of the universe—how could he possibly like anyone else?”

“Holy shit, what’s going on?! Fang Yan’s here too? Didn’t he get beaten up after confessing to Pei Yu? The production team really loves stirring up drama!”

“Stop spreading rumors! Focus on our Fang Yan’s work, okay? He’s a sweet-type idol who’s great at singing and dancing! You deserve him!”

“!!! Zhou Jing?! Emperor Zhou and Film Emperor Pei are supposed to be like oil and water—how did he end up here too?”

“What ‘oil and water’? Our Brother Pei completely dominates in every aspect! Stop trying to ride our Grand Slam Film Emperor’s coattails to raise your own status!”

“Let me get this straight… this episode seems a bit complicated…”

“LOL, Pei Yu is just like his rabid fans—wherever he goes, chaos follows. Out of the four guests besides him, three are his mortal enemies!”

***

Online discussions exploded as more and more people camped out at the entrance to the live stream.

Meanwhile, in the coastal town of Qihai, the production crew hung banners welcoming the guests.

Half the hall was packed with staff, and cameras of all sizes were focused on the five seats at the center.

Fang Yan was the first to arrive. He had dressed meticulously, every item of clothing a trendy brand. His youthful, energetic face beamed as he bowed deeply to the production team.

After glancing at the five seats, he instinctively chose the rightmost seat, number 5.

Zhou Jing and Jiang Wei entered together.

Zhou Jing wore a conservative suit, his scholarly face radiating a serene, almost ascetic air.

Jiang Wei, on the other hand, sported casual attire with a blue headband, his tall, muscular frame exuding athletic energy.

Seeing them approach, Fang Yan quickly stood up to greet them.

Zhou Jing nodded politely and reservedly, while Jiang Wei flashed a broad, friendly smile.

Before Jiang Wei could choose his seat, Zhou Jing walked straight to the leftmost seat, number 1, causing a stir in the live stream chat.

<i>”What’s going on? He’s Emperor Zhou! Why would someone of his status sit all the way on the edge?”

“LOL! Everyone knows who Zhou Jing is avoiding. Someone’s definitely going to claim the center seat as soon as they arrive!”
