TYMRHBDES Chapter 163

“Ah, what’s this?! That Pei Yu, you dog! What are you doing taking my wife to the fitting room?!”

“Fitting room play? Isn’t that a bit too intense?!”

“Outrageous! Absolutely outrageous! Film Emperor Pei, is there no one in this world you care about? How dare you do whatever you please?!”

***

The assistant director stared in disbelief, nudging the director’s arm. “Should we intervene?”

The director huffed in exasperation, slapping the assistant director’s head. “Idiot!”

Inside the dressing room, Jiang Luoluo found himself pinned against the wall the moment Pei Yu dragged him in.

Still dazed, he asked softly, “What’s going on, Pei Yu?”

Pei Yu snatched the shorts from his hand, leaving Jiang Luoluo even more bewildered. He tilted his head back, his eyes filled with confusion.

Pei Yu ripped off Jiang Luoluo’s microphone and tossed it aside, then switched off his own.

“I’ll help you change,” Pei Yu said.

Jiang Luoluo pursed his lips, his soft pink lips thinning into a stubborn line. He murmured, “I don’t want your help.”

Pei Yu took his hand and guided him to sit on the stool, then crouched down to meet his gaze.

Pei Yu’s sharp, handsome features loomed close, his phoenix eyes seeming to hold Jiang Luoluo completely within their depths, radiating an overwhelming sense of tenderness.

Softening his voice, Pei Yu wrapped his arms around Jiang Luoluo’s waist and apologized, “It was my fault.”

His large hands slid downward, settling on the prominent bulge.

His deep, magnetic voice was unusually gentle. “I’m sorry. I was too hasty yesterday and didn’t consider your feelings.”

“I didn’t realize you were so small.”

“This won’t happen again.”

“I’ll be better prepared next time, so it won’t hurt you.”

“Please forgive me, baby. Will you?”

Jiang Luoluo stared at him, his face slowly flushing crimson, the blush creeping down his neck until it looked like blood was dripping from his skin.

He finally understood why Pei Yu had muted his microphone. Overwhelmed with shame and anger, his teary eyes darted away from Pei Yu’s face, like a child who had been wronged, his eyelashes trembling uncontrollably.

“Who’s your baby…?” Jiang Luoluo murmured.

His pearly white teeth bit down on his full lips, and his fingers curled slightly on his lap. Glancing at Pei Yu, he rejected him:

“We’re not compatible.”

Pei Yu grew anxious, his handsome brow furrowing in confusion. “What’s incompatible?”

Jiang Luoluo glared at him, his voice defiant: “The size!”

Pei Yu: “……”

Pei Yu sighed helplessly. “You can’t expect me to get surgery to… trim it down, can you?”

The person in front of him wrinkled his nose and let out a small, petulant “hmph,” his voice delicate and spoiled:

“You can’t even part with a little bit of meat? How can you say you like me!”

Pei Yu: “……”

Pei Yu chuckled helplessly. His deep-set features softened with affection as he gently pinched Jiang Luoluo’s cheek with his slender fingers.

“Alright.”

The person before him looked up in surprise. Pei Yu brushed his finger against the soft flesh of Jiang Luoluo’s cheek and murmured, “Next time, I’ll give you an X-Acto knife. If you see anything you don’t like, just cut it off.”

Jiang Luoluo’s eyes widened, speechless. He didn’t even notice the trap hidden in Pei Yu’s words.

Pei Yu leaned in, intending to kiss Jiang Luoluo’s wide-open eyes. Jiang Luoluo quickly squeezed his eyes shut.

A cool touch landed lightly on his eyelids, like a drop of morning dew in spring or a wisp of evening breeze under the setting sun.

He stood frozen with his eyes closed, hearing Pei Yu’s low, husky voice as warm breath brushed feather-light across his forehead.

“If I’m good, will my darling agree?”

Jiang Luoluo’s face flushed crimson. His eyelashes fluttered wildly, like a butterfly caught in an ocean storm.

If Pei Yu had been more forceful, he could have easily refused. But Pei Yu’s gentle approach…

He found it almost impossible to resist.

In the main hall…

Everyone had changed and emerged from their dressing rooms, except for the one in the middle, which remained silent.

The live stream’s comment section was already flooded with censored asterisks. The assistant director, steeling his nerves, stepped forward to remind Pei Yu to restrain himself.

He had barely stood up when the dressing room curtain was suddenly pulled aside.

The “little streamer who had been ravaged until he couldn’t stand straight,” as the live stream’s comment section had speculated, now stood impeccably clean and neatly dressed, his back ramrod straight.

The white shirt suited him perfectly, every button fastened to the top, making him look utterly obedient.

Beneath the matching five-pocket shorts, his calves were slender and straight, their lines flowing gracefully. Even the delicate curve of his ankles seemed meticulously sculpted.

Wearing white sneakers, he resembled a well-behaved and adorable junior from the school campus.

Pei Yu followed him out, carrying the clothes he had changed out of.

The director quickly gestured for Pei Yu to change into his own clothes.

Zhang Hao, who had been anxiously clutching Pei Yu’s clothes, hurried over to hand them to him.

This time, Pei Yu said nothing, silently took the clothes, and returned to the dressing room.

As soon as he left, all eyes turned back to Jiang Luoluo.

Jiang Wei seemed a little anxious, taking a few quick steps toward him, but hesitated to speak due to the live stream.

Jiang Wei chuckled, the words swirling on his tongue. “Luo Luo, the director just gave us our morning task location: the market in the coastal town of Qihai. We’re supposed to sell seafood to the locals. I’m guessing we’ll be setting up a stall. Have you ever done that before?”

Jiang Luoluo shook his head, his eyes sparkling with excitement. “Set up a stall at the market? That sounds like so much fun!”

Jiang Wei seemed to see right through his enthusiasm. “Exactly! The Qihai market is quite famous nationally. I heard there are hundreds of stalls selling everything you can imagine. Should we head over there and get started on our task?”

He glanced at the others in the lobby, his smile open and sincere. “After all, our two teams are competing today. The sooner we get there, the sooner we can finish and increase our chances of winning, right?”

Jiang Luoluo, still thinking about the market, nodded eagerly.

He took the location card from the production team, glanced back at the dressing room, waved goodbye to Zhou Jing and Fang Yan, and left with Jiang Wei.

No sooner had they left than Pei Yu emerged from the dressing room.

Zhou Jing remained silent.

Fang Yan, however, quickly filled Pei Yu in on everything that had just happened.

This time, Pei Yu didn’t say anything. He studied the address on the card, then left with the remaining two members of his team.

The town’s market days fell on the 3rd and 7th of each month, and with the sun just rising, the market was already bustling.

Stall after stall pressed tightly together, lining narrow paths crowded with grandmothers and grandfathers carrying woven baskets. Fashionably dressed young people weaved through the throng, plastic bags overflowing with local delicacies.

Jiang Luoluo’s eyes widened in awe.

He had seen vloggers’ videos of local markets online, but he had never had the chance to experience one firsthand. Now, he was finally here.

Mud-caked radishes, beef broth garnished with scallions, glistening braised pork hocks, marinated crabs swimming in their own juices, honey buns with crispy bottoms, bulk-packaged dried plums and nuts in large plastic bags, and countless unfamiliar seafood varieties…

Everything imaginable was on display, a feast for the eyes.

Noticing Jiang Luoluo’s wide-eyed wonder, Jiang Wei suggested, “Want to try something?”

Jiang Luoluo nodded, then patted his pockets and said ruefully, “I changed clothes… I don’t have any money.”

Jiang Wei whispered, “Just pick what you want. I’ll pay with my phone.”

The VJ Teacher, who was following behind, chimed in with a smile, “Sorry, teachers! You can’t use your phones for payments during filming.”

Jiang Luoluo simply said, “Alright.”

Though he couldn’t taste the seafood, he was still delighted by the lively atmosphere around them.

Before long, they arrived at their stall, piled high with baskets of seafood: black mussels, cat’s-eye snails the size of half a palm, razor clams longer than a finger, slippery squid, half-meter-long mackerel, and constantly crawling swimming crabs and mantis shrimp.

Jiang Luoluo accepted the black apron from the production crew and slipped it over his head. Jiang Wei volunteered to tie it for him. Once they were properly dressed, they began their day of hawking seafood.

Meanwhile, Pei Yu and his two companions got into their car and headed toward the docks.

Pei Yu sat in the passenger seat, his mood visibly buoyant. Even behind his sunglasses, the relaxed curve of his lips was evident.

Those few minutes in the fitting room had been wonderful.

His Little Fox Spirit had obediently opened his arms, letting Pei Yu change his clothes. The sight had been utterly captivating.

His skin was both fair and smooth, feeling even better in daylight than it had the night before.

But his body was so delicate. The snow-white skin was still flushed red, looking almost alarming even after a full night had passed.

Slightly swollen, it looked as if Pei Yu had mistreated him.

Pei Yu’s lips curved into a faint smile, his sharp eyebrows lifting slightly as he observed his hand through his sunglasses, savoring the memory of its recent soft, smooth touch.

Fang Yan and Zhou Jing sat in the back.

Zhou Jing remained quiet, listening to the music playing in the car.

Fang Yan exchanged a few words with him about today’s mission before turning his gaze back to Pei Yu in the passenger seat.

From this angle, he could only see Pei Yu’s profile.

The sharply defined angles of Pei Yu’s profile were strikingly handsome, the ear piercing resting quietly in his ear, lending him an air of mystery and noble aloofness, as if he were untouchable.

Too straight for his own good, Fang Yan thought .

The memory of Pei Yu’s previous rejection flashed through his mind, but Fang Yan wasn’t discouraged.

Before, Pei Yu had always resorted to violence when rejecting others.

But when Fang Yan confessed his feelings, though Pei Yu had been cold, he hadn’t laid a hand on him.

This meant Pei Yu didn’t hate him *that* much.

His chances were still good!

Leaning forward slightly, Fang Yan made conversation. “Teacher Pei, have you ever been to Qihai before?”

Pei Yu, gazing at his fingers and savoring the lingering sensation of their recent touch, was abruptly interrupted.

His thin lips tightened, his displeasure palpable.

His voice was icy: “No.”

Fang Yan let out an “Ah” and continued, “I haven’t been here before either. I’ve heard so much about Qihai’s reputation—I’ve been wanting to see it for myself for ages.”

The car fell silent, no one responding.

Zhou Jing, ever the kind one, stepped in to ease the awkwardness: “It’s perfect that the show’s location is in Qihai this time. We can stay a few extra days after filming wraps.”

Fang Yan hummed in agreement, racking his brain for conversation starters. He pressed on:

“But Qihai’s most famous for its grand market. I’ve heard it’s incredibly unique and full of local flavor. It’s such a shame we can’t go like Jiang Weiluo and Luo Luo did.”

Pei Yu’s ears perked up at the mention of Jiang Luoluo’s name. He frowned:

“Aren’t we going to the same place as them?”
