Lunch was prepared to Michelin three-star standards.

Jiang Luoluo, his little belly round and full, held a winery guide and studied it intently.

The man sitting beside him leaned toward him, sunlight casting a golden halo around him—the picture of a noble scion.

The man’s wrist moved, scooping a spoonful of vanilla ice cream and offering it to the Little Omega’s mouth.

Jiang Luoluo obediently opened his mouth with an “Awoo” and swallowed it down. He pointed at a picture of a wine cellar in the guide. “Baby wants to go here~”

On the opposite page, floor-to-ceiling wine racks were packed with bottles from various vintages. His soft finger tapped the image. “Baby also wants to buy a few bottles~”

“Does our baby like to drink?” Huo Zedong asked.

Jiang Luoluo shook his head, then slowly nodded.

“I’ve never had it before, but I like it now~”

Because Huo Zedong’s pheromones smelled like strong liquor.

Love for the giver extended to the gift—he now loved all the world’s wines.

Huo Zedong didn’t press for more details. He glanced at the time. “The main event of the evening will revolve around wine tasting. After the banquet, there will be a small auction. We can bid on anything we like.”

The Little Omega curved his eyes and obediently replied, “Okay.”

“What about this afternoon?”

Those watery eyes lifted to meet Huo Zedong’s, his voice soft and sweet. “Husband~ What should we do this afternoon~”

“No need to rush this afternoon.”

After feeding Jiang Luoluo the last spoonful of vanilla ice cream, Huo Zedong set down his spoon.

“Let’s rest for a while first. Once we’re refreshed, we can decide what to do this afternoon.”

The Little Omega beamed with delight, obediently placing his hand in Huo Zedong’s palm. He didn’t forget to bring along the winery tour guide.

He murmured, “I still want to go horseback riding~ There’s a picture of a beautiful white pony in the guide~ But I’ve never ridden before. What if I fall off? If I fall, will Husband catch me…?”

Their voices faded as the two figures walked away.

Four hours later…

The sun had already set, its afterglow draping the horizon like a silk ribbon, bathing the entire vineyard in the atmosphere of dusk.

The curtains fluttered, revealing a corner of a champagne-colored window.

Reflected in the window were two figures sitting on the bed—

A Little Omega, pouting and wiping away tears, and his husband, Huo Zedong, trying to comfort him.

Huo Zedong’s slender fingers brushed away the tear tracks on the Little Omega’s cheeks, but the Little Omega turned his head, dodging the gesture.

Black eyelashes, adorned with crystal tears, framed his watery eyes. His cheeks puffed out, and his voice, thick with sobs, was soft and delicate:

“I hate you!”

“Huo Zedong, you broke your promise!”

Huo Zedong’s Adam’s apple bobbed. “Baby, husband really tried his best to hold back.”

“Otherwise, you wouldn’t have been able to attend the banquet at all.”

Hearing this, the Little Omega glared at him coquettishly. His black-and-white pupils, clouded with tears, held no threat whatsoever.

“Husband was wrong, it was the husband’s  fault…”

The tall alpha opened his arms, pulling the Little Omega into a warm embrace. He kissed the Little Omega’s tear-stained nose and whispered soothing words:

“Don’t cry, baby…”

“Didn’t you want to go horseback riding? Shall we go now?”

The Little Omega in his arms buried his head against his chest, his voice muffled and sulky. “No…”

He was like a spoiled kitten.

Huo Zedong’s large hand stroked his back, smoothing it over and over. “Why not?”

His soft tone carried a hint of grievance. “My butt hurts…”

“If your butt hurts, how can you ride a horse?”

Huo Zedong couldn’t help but want to laugh, but he was afraid his Little Baby would cry if he did, so he swallowed his amusement and tried to reason with him.

“How about I buy our baby a pony? We can ride it when we get back, okay?”

The Little Omega whined, his voice delicate and spoiled. “No, I don’t want to. I don’t want to ride.”

He struggled to break free from Huo Zedong’s embrace.

The man’s arms tightened around him like iron bands, holding him captive. “Alright, alright, if Baby doesn’t want to ride, we won’t. Our Baby will never ride a horse again…”

As the words fell, the Little Omega suddenly stopped struggling. His aggrieved face flushed crimson, and he mumbled weakly, his voice barely audible:

“I only said we wouldn’t ride today…”

“I never said we wouldn’t ride tomorrow…”

A low chuckle echoed through the air, followed by a gentle tap on her forehead.

“Two-faced little thing.”

During the evening banquet, Jiang Luoluo saw Lin Zhiyi again.

Lin Zhiyi approached and took Jiang Luoluo’s hand. “Didn’t you say you wanted to go horseback riding when you arrived? I went to the stables with some friends this afternoon, but I didn’t see you.”

Jiang Luoluo blushed. “I… I overslept.”

Lin Zhiyi’s gaze lingered on his slightly swollen lips, and he teased, “With such a strong pheromone scent, I doubt you were the only one who overslept, Little Omega~”

Jiang Luoluo’s face flushed even deeper crimson. He turned his head to look at Huo Zedong, who was talking to someone on the other side of the room.

His wrist was tugged, and Lin Zhiyi led him deeper into the banquet hall. “Come on, Master Huo isn’t going anywhere~”

“I have a few friends I’d like to introduce you to.”

As Lin Zhiyi led him over, a group of Omegas on the sofa looked up, their expressions varying.

These Omegas were either wives of prominent figures in high society or pampered daughters raised at home. They were dressed in lavish attire, their jewels sparkling brilliantly under the crystal chandeliers.

Their appearance was as dazzling as their surroundings.

“This is Jiang Luoluo, my new friend and Mr. Huo’s boyfriend.”

The moment the words “Mr. Huo” were uttered, the scrutinizing gazes around them intensified, though they also became more restrained.

“So this is the one Mr. Huo keeps hidden away! You’re absolutely stunning. I’ve never seen such a beautiful Omega before~”

The speaker, a man in his twenties holding a jewel-encrusted European fan, leaned closer. “Young Master Jiang, my master’s surname is Wang. He’s long admired Mr. Huo. Could you possibly put in a good word for us?”

Before he could finish speaking, another Omega approached. “Young Master Jiang, do you enjoy fine wines? My master just acquired a bottle of 2004 Romanée-Conti. Shall we have it delivered to your residence?”

“Don’t stand there, Young Master Jiang. Please, sit down and chat with us~”

Voices clamored around him, leaving Jiang Luoluo utterly bewildered.

He knew perfectly well these people weren’t genuinely interested in getting to know him. They were merely trying to curry favor with Huo Zedong by flattering him.

Unaccustomed to such attention, Jiang Luoluo could only offer a polite “Thank you” and then sat down.

“Is that the bracelet that was the auction’s highlight just a few days ago?”

An observant Omega sitting beside Jiang Luoluo exclaimed, drawing everyone’s attention.

Jiang Luoluo followed his gaze to his own wrist.

“This was once worn by that famous 18th-century European queen. Just look at this gorgeous emerald…”

The Omega clicked his tongue in admiration. “I remember Madam Shang was quite fond of it back then, but it was ultimately auctioned off for 20 million. So it was Master Huo who bought it. No wonder he’s so extravagant…”

Jiang Luoluo was unaware of this history. He had never known the things he used were so expensive. Back then, Huo Zedong had simply held him in his arms, casually plucked the bracelet from a box, and fastened it around his wrist, asking if he liked it. His manner was so casual, as if he had simply picked it up on a whim from some random shop.

The group of people gathered around them had mixed thoughts. They knew this Little Omega had been taken in by Huo Zedong, but they hadn’t realized he was so favored. Too bad he was an Omega with a defective gland.

Suppressing their various thoughts, they were about to offer a few polite compliments when a sharp snort cut through the air. Jiang Luoluo looked up to meet the gaze of a young man, no older than his early twenties, his expression hostile.

“Stop pretending to be so pure. Have you forgotten how you climbed your way up here?”

“Some people only know how to steal what belongs to others.”

After speaking, Madam Shang gave a cold laugh and turned to leave.

“This…”

“What’s wrong with Madam Shang?”

An awkward silence hung in the air.

Jiang Luoluo was about to stand up and clear things up when Lin Zhiyi pressed his hand down. “That’s Madam Shang, the wife of Mr. Shang Lu, who failed to win the bracelet at the auction.”

The Omega sitting next to Jiang Luoluo handed him a glass of juice. “Don’t mind her. She’s always like this. Miserable in her own life, so she spends her days being passive-aggressive.”

“With that personality, no wonder Shang Lu despises her.”

Perhaps to ease the awkwardness, or perhaps simply due to human nature’s innate curiosity, the group of Omegas around them shifted their conversation to gossip about Madam Shang.

Lin Zhiyi took a small pastry from a waiter and whispered to Jiang Luoluo, “Madam Shang comes from a prominent family herself. She and Shang Lu were deeply in love from a young age and married.”

“Unfortunately, they couldn’t conceive after several years of marriage. Then, during a drunken night, Shang Lu was seduced by another Omega. Coincidentally, that one time, the Omega got pregnant.”

Jiang Luoluo’s expression stiffened as he listened to the gossip.

“Madam Shang threw a huge tantrum, demanding that Shang Lu choose between her and the Omega. She insisted that if she remained, the Omega had to go.”

“After years of affection, Shang Lu still loved his wife, but the Omega was carrying his child…”

Lin Zhiyi lowered his voice. “Madam Shang couldn’t conceive, and the Old Madam and Old Master Shang wouldn’t allow it. In the end, they had no choice but to let the Omega enter the family.”

“But I hear that Madam Shang’s life has become even more difficult since the Omega moved in…”

As Jiang Luoluo listened, his fingers tightened around his glass, his slender, pale fingertips turning white.

Lin Zhiyi sighed and concluded, “That’s how relationships are in this world. The initial passion fades over time, crumbling under various pressures. No one knows how long that affection will last.”

“These alphas all claim they don’t care about children, but which one isn’t secretly hoping their Omega will conceive soon? Isn’t that the very essence of an Omega’s value?”

“So, Luoluo, you must seize your youth and conceive Mr. Huo’s child as soon as possible. Otherwise…”

Lin Zhiyi trailed off, leaving the unspoken words hanging in the air.

With a crash, the glass in Jiang Luoluo’s hand slipped and shattered on the carpet, spilling juice everywhere.

Jiang Luoluo snapped back to reality, his clear black-and-white eyes brimming with tears. He scrambled to his feet, muttered an apology, and fled the room…
